It's here. The day that we have all longed for. Mark Karpeles (Mt.Gox CEO) has been ordered by a judge to come to the United States to answer questions regarding the collapse of the infamous Mt.Gox exchange. The court hearing will take place on April 16, 2014 Dallas Texas.

Let's see what happens next! Isn't this exciting?! Will justice be served?

22  Economy / Service Discussion / BITMAINTECH - POTENTIAL SHUTDOWN (PBOC) on: March 28, 2014, 08:37:51 PM
It is very possible that we can see a Bitmaintech shutdown within the coming week(s)

If you're up-to-date on everything Bitcoin you know that PBOC (Peoples Bank of China) has recently ordered banks and payment companies to close the trading accounts of more than 10 exchanges. This is predicted to take place on April 15th 2014. Could this effect Bitmaintech? Very possibly.

If that PBOC announcement doesn't directly affect Bitmaintech, this next PBOC announcement surely will. The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has placed a temporary ban on all payments made by scanning quick-response (QR) codes with mobile devices. Since you can use QR codes to make payments for Bitmaintech products, is Bitmaintech breaking the law?

Well, technically yes, if your buying Bitmain products within China VIA QR Codes.
If Bitmain is breaking the law, we may very well see a Bitmain shutdown.

I'm predicting that Bitmain will revoke QR Codes from their payment page in order to remain a legal status.
What do you guys think? Could this be the end of Bitmain?
23  Bitcoin / Hardware / Best PSU for Antminer S1 on: March 25, 2014, 04:15:25 PM
I just ordered five Antminer S1 units and I have some questions regarding the "Best" power supply (PSU)

Option 1). A single 500 watt power supply dedicated to one Antminer S1
Option 2). A single 850 watt power supply dedicated to two Antminer S1

If I decide to go with either option, would I be alright?
Thanks so much! Best regards, AlextheBitcoiner

27  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S1 hashing Extremely Slowly on: March 22, 2014, 04:42:10 AM
Your a noobie and you already have 6 machines? Damn! Nice work.

Anyways. The answer to your question regarding slow saves on the web configuration page is normal.
But a save shouldn't be more than 30 seconds at the most. Make sure you close out of all unused applications
running in the background, that may help.

Run an internet speedtest at www.Speedtest.Net

Is your internet bandwith low? If so, then its possible that your
6 existing Antminers are taking a chunk of your internet speed.

If you have other things running off your router, such as other computers
they may also be slowing your internet speed down.

Bottom line, run a speedtest. Let us know what the results are.

28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 22, 2014, 04:18:26 AM
Be patient guys. Bitmain will help everyone.  Smiley
Just make sure you email them with your:

- Bitmain Account username
- Full name
- Blockchain Transaction Link
- Order ID

It may also be important to BRIEFLY explain your situation.
In my particular scenario, I ordered five Antminer S1 Units.

In the email, tell them how many machines you ordered, and how much BTC
you paid for them.

If you do these steps, your order will go from "Unpaid/Expired" to "Paid/Valid"
within 1-2 Days (MAX) .... You got to understand that Bitmain has to deal with these
issues in the order that they were received.

I hope I was able to help someone,
Best Regards, AlextheBitcoiner

Buy! Bitmain FTW!
30  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dear Bitmaintech, My Deepest Apologies on: March 21, 2014, 02:45:52 PM
Regardless of this issue being out of their controll, they should have suspended transactions the second they knew there was an issue. When Roi is dependent on price vs. Delivery time these machines will not be as profitable. I would hope bitmain takes care of people who experienced delays due to them still accepting business knowing of the delays. Im expecting a nice few coupons for my delay. Do the right thing bitmain.

Bitmain has actually already made a statement about this. All customers who were affected by the Blockchain crisis will be receiving some type of discount(s).
Also, if you go to the Bitmain website, you can see that they just dropped their prices AGAIN! To be honest I didn't expect this at all... Simply due the fact that the value
of BTC dropped by nearly 8% in the last couple of days.

Discount+New Low Price = Very Happy me!
Bitmain is awesome.

Thanks for your support in this issue. Bitmain is setting the standard.
Oh, and.. YAY COUPONS! *Buys 100 Antminers*
32  Other / Off-topic / Dear Bitmaintech, My Deepest Apologies on: March 21, 2014, 08:39:57 AM
Dear Bitmaintech,

Allow me to express my deepest apologies.
As many of you know, their was a recent glitch in the Blockchain causing major payment delays which led to panic in the Bitcoin community.
For many Bitmain customers, orders were not processing, and worse yet, showed incorrect payment information.

Take my story for example:
During the Blockchain database glitch, I sent a payment to Bitmain of 4.945BTC (VIA Coinbase) in exchange for five Antminer S1 Units.
Within 20 minutes of being prompted with the QR Code, the payment was sent.

Assuming all was well, I went out to go grab dinner. At dinner (hours after I sent the payment to Bitmain) I received an email notification from
Coinbase informing me that my payment of 4.945 BTC had just cleared. At this point I was freaking out. I knew that Bitmain didn't receive my
payment within the one hour payment time frame.

I immediately emailed Bitmain explaining my issue. I then PM'd them here on the forums. After doing some research I knew that I was not alone.
Hundreds, if not thousands of customers we're also experiencing payment related issues.

I never got a reply from Bitmain. But that was alright. After 47 hours and 32 minutes, the panic attack was over.
Bitmain had confirmed my payment and they were preparing for shipment.

I've ordered two Antminer S1 units from Bitmaintech before, and I've NEVER had an issue. This whole issue was due to a Blockchain related matter, NOT Bitmain.
I apologize for ever doubting Bitmaintech. If you plan on ordering from Bitmain, do it. I plan on buying more units from them in the future.

This company sets a new standard.
33  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Understanding the Mt. Gox bankruptcy process on: March 21, 2014, 05:26:22 AM
I feel sorry for Mt.Gox victims. When I was trading with Mt. Gox, I had a total $40,000 in my account, but when I heard rumors of a major crash, I cashed out like a little bitch. Thank god I did. I'm so grateful.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help please on: March 21, 2014, 05:01:12 AM
Their was a database problem at the Blockchain causing issues very similar to the ones your describing.

If nothing works, try manually resetting the miner. Their is a hard reset button on the control panel.
Hope I could help! PM me if you need further assistance.

I ordered 5 Antminer S1s from Bitmaintech on March 19 2014 for 4.94 BTC.
I haven't received ANY updates on the status of my order. All I am greeted with is "Unpaid" & "Expired"

I have emailed Bitmain explaining my situation, I included my order ID. I have also PM'd them (Here on the forums)
I haven't received any reply whatsoever.

I've ordered two Antminer units in the past, and I've never had an issue.
Have I been scammed?

BFL just released the 230GH/s BTC Rackmount Miner.... FOR $4255
Am I crazy or have I seen this product on their website before?

Anyways... If you do the math, it takes over 322 Days JUST TO BREAK EVEN!

Do they think we can't do math? This is hilarious.
I really feel sorry for anyone who purchases this.
39  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 20, 2014, 06:29:01 PM
I recently purchased 5 Antminer S1s from Bitmaintech. It's been over 72 hours and I'm really concerned. My payment is still "Unpaid" and "Expired"
I sent the payment within 20 minutes of bring prompted. What the hell is going on?

My payment received 40 confirmations on the Blockchain.
I have proof that the payment was sent, and that they successfully received the payment.

I've heard that this is happening to alot of people..
I contacted the Bitmain Support, and still no reply =/

I'm super concerned.
Can anyone else relate?
