Recently I have moved some of my Iconomi to myetherwallet and I wanted to move to an exchange but unable to do it.
It says not enough gas, what does this mean? How can I estimate how much gas do I need to make a transaction or it is based on the amount of ICN transferred at once or each time I make a transaction? I didn't noticed this detail regarding to ICN.
add 0.01 ETH in your MEW it's enough to be gas for transaction your ICN to an exchange to be honest amount like 0.0002 is ok for paying for transaction. I have made over kill with buying 1ETH once. But if you want make more transaction you need more 0.0002 than single one. This sounds very microsoft buy things you are forced to buy stuff but already have (like xbox live I already have internet connection by wifi) retarted to me (I'm a crypto beginner and icn ico invester and i hope Iconomi does something about this mybe it will this gass thing will go automatically in the smart contract? Im like: I already have a token that will be on the etherium blockchain im not a tech guy so yea can some one tell me why this is not like xbox. live? Yes, this is not XBOX Live. You have to be aware that ICN are Tokens that can be moved on the Ethereum Blockchain. The cost are minimal, but its unavoidable that you need some "Gas" (Tiny fractions of ETH) to power the transaction, its part of the Transaction process. But its super easy to handle when you get used to it. just put a tiny bit of ETH in the same adress you want to send your ICN from and it works. Think of it, like you have to plug in your XBOX to the socket to power it with electricity...without it it would not work! |

To be sincere to ourselves because I've seen some unrealistic prices been quote here, where do you guys see the price of ICN when the platform is launched?
I'd tell you, but I don't want to ruin the surprise.  The master winker doing what he does best  As for the price, I think it will revolve around 0.8-1$ After that, it all depends on the userbase the platform will get and if there are any good new projects for performance (and eventualy index) funds to invest into. Two quick questions:
1) How many tokens there are going to be? Only ICN? because it's very cofusing with the ICN index, ICN performance and all of that. I think they should stick to only 1 token otherwise its too much of a mess to manage.
2) How do you store ICN locally? Do I need to download the Omni Core blockchain? how big is it?
I don't trust Kraken or any exchange long term so I want to keep them on my own locally.
Ive never used ETH or any token from ETH so I dont know how it works to store locally the proper way.

like any other software company, they can't just make the platform live without testing. probably beta testing and maybe even hire some bounty hunters for the bugs and fixes. sure a lot of supporters would be willing to be a beta tester. No doubt about the success what this project will have in future. Actually things are in development phase which are main cause for this to be still under valued. Once things are completed and all goes live with flawless functionality we will see the tokens at their real value. Many people still made good profit from recent increased.

I have a question, would appreciate if someone could give me a clear answer. If I have icn tokens do I also hold icnx tokens? Are they the same? If not what's the difference?
No, you don't also hold ICNX. ICN is a share of the Iconomi platform. You receive dividends as a shareholder of this platform. ICNX is a fund on the platform, which you can invest in. Think of ICNX as a basket of different stocks. Some might go up. Some might go down. But overall, we're expecting the total value of the 'basket' to increase, and give profit to ICNX investors. In theory, this should drive the price of ICN upwards, so that early adopters will benefit due to scarcity of the token (people holding onto it, to receive dividends) That means the next level of investors will be the ones buying the actual product (the ICNX, and other funds) provided by Iconomi. These will be the "old economy" investors, looking to profit from crypto with a low risk. They might also look deeper, and want to buy ICN and become a shareholder of Iconomi - who knows? ... If they do, the demand will only add more value to ICN. In the words of Mal Reynolds... I AM HODLING!So ICN is a share of the company.
