21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin mining with undervolting Asus R9 290x - 4GD5 on: January 13, 2014, 03:53:51 AM
He probably has the Elpida ram r9 290x, like me.   I look forward to the day getting this thing beyond 885kh.  With two r9 290x, I pull at the wall 650ish watts.  I used AB, 0 powertune and lowered the voltage by -37

Hynix is far superior for hashing

It all depends on the memory of the r9 290x.

I have the elpida one and get 885kh (which sux in comparison to the Hynix models).

I found my r9 290x was sensitive to TC, GPU/Mem Clock.  For me, 921/1500 was a pretty good #.

I think you are correct, I'll look into the bfgminer threads and see if there are any suggestions

Sorry, yes 2.2.8 is working perfectly (except the coinwarz api "setting" thing that you explained already).

I'm not having any trouble with bfgminer or cgminer for that matter when used through cmd prompt.  I have 8gb of ram on its way, I'll cross my fingers that it is the fix (I'll report my findings).  Until then, 2.2.8 for me Smiley

Happy New Year!

Ok, I'm running into a little problem with 2.3 and 2.3.2.  When it switches coins I get an awesome BSOD (atiblahblah.sys error).  The odd thing is on 2.8, no problems.  I don't know if it computer or program related.  Let me know if there is any info I can provide to help.

specs:
(2) r9 290x @ 917/1500 (stock volts)
4gb 1333 ram
win7 x64

Also, could you provide some feedback on this "issue" as well?  Looking at the API monitor I see some info that concerns me a bit.

After an hour I see the following mining Doge:
Accepted:176
Discarded:85
Stale:5
M/H @ 1.75

The discard rate is what concerns me (or should it).

Thanks again for the great program

You were right.  I don't know how I hit 25 so quickly as I had it set to check once every 6hrs.

Thank you for the help and a great program

Thanks for your awesome program.  I am having some trouble with the Coinwarz.com API.

I'm getting the "Error: Parsing Coinwarz API".  I'm using 2.2.8 and I did add my key.  I don't know if this is an issue with coinwarz or the program.

Thank you for the help

New to mining here as well.  I've only been at it for about a week.

My old gaming rig is as follows:
EVGA x58 FTW
i7 930 @ 4.05
EVGA 580gtx @ 850/1700/2050 mining @ 260ish
12gig of DDR3 @ 1500 (underclocked)

New rig I'm building, assuming TigerDirect ever ships me the stuff I paid for

Asus Hero VI
i7 4770k w/c
(2) r9 290 w/c
ax 1200i PSU
Astro A40 headphones
16gigs of DDR3

Considering a mining rig of 3x R9 280x........now to find them

If you are using "auto" settings for your cudaminer, you might try -H 1 -i 0 -C 1 -l F14x16 -m 1.  It is what I've been using on my 580 gtx.  It may squeeze out a few extra khash for you

Doge coins have been a fun coin to mine/trade.  However I don't know about you guys, I'm having a hell of a time with deposits on Cryptsy and trades going through on Coins-E.  I'm currently at 24hrs+ of waiting for a deposit to hit on Cryptsy.  Fun stuff.  Are you guys seeing the same?
