Since 1977 Entrepreneur, a business magazine, brought into the spotlight innovative exciting ventures that in the future evolved into successful projects and companies. And now it is our turn. One of the most popular business-related magazines has spoken with our founder Gadji Makhtiev.
RAWG is a blockchain-based platform for gamers that was born last year in the heads of Gadji and our CPO Alexey when they found out that their gaming website Kanobu attracted users for their gaming database. “Half of the visitors came looking specifically for our catalogue of game information” says Gadji while pondering that all the data that gamers need to check before deciding on what to play next is scattered throughout several services like Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, etc. The main problem for a gamer right now is “a lack of time, and gamers’ needs to make better purchasing decisions to fit their time constraints while still having fun”. Thus the idea of RAWG was conceived where gamers can get all they need in one neat package.
“Games are an art form” which is why RAWG is building the most comprehensive database that includes everyone who works on the games with the help of gamers themselves, their data and future contribution when the UGC-tools will be implemented.
The blockchain solution in the words of our founder is “to provide even greater incentives to join and participate in the RAWG community. Gamers on RAWG will be able to receive our tokens as rewards for in-game achievements, and they’ll be able to exchange them for rewards in our ecosystem, or even into fiat”. Achievement hunting in the past was to show off the skill and now they can be a way to earn some pocket money. Blockchain itself is the “technological edge” that the gaming market needs to propel itself even further and RAWG is eager to ride that wave among the first.
Check out the full article to see RAWG’s vision in the interview with our founder Gadji Makhtiev.Where the idea for RAWG originate is one of the interesting and most clearly described point about RAWG. I agree that such a platform is needed - AND that the success of the platform needs "a strong team that covers as many areas of expertise as you need." I see it in my life. My time for gaming is limited, very limited. And so also is the time for researching a new game. Thanks for the article and the vision explained! edit: Have to add: Just took a look at Kanobu. And even while I'm not speaking russian, I like the style. The experience is perfect for the RAWG project. We want by the end of the year start helping people like you to find a perfect game to spend your evening. Oh, and I'm gonna use this for a segue if people want to check it out, Kanobu

To fully understand the inner workings of our RAWG token and tokenomics for all parties involved, check out the third installment of WPBits. Oh, first time I hear about karma as a system, interesting concept. Sounds like it will be more of a competition between those who are more casual with gaming and hardcore achievement hunters. Let's see how it goes when you go live though. Competition drives businesses and we think the token should be more valuable to those who have spent more time and achieved more than the casual gamer. But everyone gets a little something nevertheless

There’ve been several attempts in the gaming industry to share some love, and by love we mean revenue and earnings, with the gamers. The so-called “play to earn” system has been around for quite some time but there were limitations. Either the gamer is limited to the game or limited in spending his reward outside the game or is asked to download external apps which quite frankly can be dangerous.
RAWG’s answer to most of these limitations is expansion of the gamers’ choice. With RAWG the player is able to get rewards for any game that has trackable achievements across the most popular platforms: Xbox, PS, Steam. These rewards can be spent on physical and digital goods, or turned into fiat or other cryptocurrencies. And all of it is done with a simple click on RAWG’s website.
To know what’s the catch and learn a bit more about our rivals and how RAWG circumvents the limitations, check out the second part in our WPBits, RAWG's series of posts where we explain, discuss and present our future, vision and strategy. Another good article! I really like this new initiative to give information through this excellent articles I will share also this one with friends! Thanks, please tell us what will catch their eye in our articles

Love your pacman wallpaper! ((-, Very nice article and nice move to take an active spotlight on your rivals. As an part of the community I have gained a lot more confidence in your platform. But to be honest the confidence was also very high before the article. (-, Keep up the good work! Thank you! Well, we do understand that competition is healthy for the companies, especially in the blockchain industry, where we can learn what worked and what did not. Maybe RAWG as well will be a subject to scrutiny or an example to follow

You must to add token details to allow participants to join the idea. Good luck team.
Hey, David, could you elaborate on what needs to be added? And if you're looking to join, you can already syncronize your data on our website and find some like-minded gamers to get ready for our token system in October

It's a good article, and yes if i ever have the opportunity to earn a living lifestyle by playing game (obviously not being a professional gamer), i would rather quit my job and shift to game play! It's just now a wait to check how much someone can really earn by playing game using RAWG platform That is a certain question to raise, but as we are saying it's more monetizing your hobby to get a little extra (or maybe a lot extra, if the demand is there), and less turning your hobby into work and making the gamer grind those achievements. Even though I know a couple of friends who loves the challenge that comes with achievements. Our main point of RAWG is collaboration with the users in the coolest industry there is

Hi, DEVs! very nice idea, hope in the future should run in accordance with the planned.
The team have a very good start and marketing technique so there is no reason that they will not reach their goal if they continue like this. Smart investing is their key but they need to upgrade it once the platform become crowded to give satisfaction to all the customers. Devs, do you have one-pager with the most important information to attract investors at the stage of acquaintance with the project? Thanks for the kind words! We sure do, but it's more 3-pager Check it out: ONE-PAGER
