Easywinbuilder should now work.. courtesy of Phelix (namecoin dev)
so you can compile the daemon on windows more easily
Have you updated this in the past few days? I've been trying to get it to work. I posted a few pages about my troubles, but I think you missed it ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I checked github and see a commit from him, sorry I asked a dumb question! Ok, this is just funny. I go to try this update, and openssl.org is down so it doesn't work on the first step. lol! I'll try again tomorrow.

Just want to point out to anybody looking to help in saving this coin...if YoyodyneSystems has the number of coins he claims to then he stands to gain the most from this coin rebounding. He will gain more than anybody else who decides to stay involved. He could dump the coins just as easily as the dev did if the price comes back up.
I'm not saying that he will just be wary.
I only have 2,300, but I want to save this coin. My sell orders are very high, and spread out as to not hurt the coin. I hope it does succeed. To think that there's someone with 400k and they don't have any sort of consideration for the coin is concerning.

@snailbrain First off, thank you very much for making this coin. I have been on board since the launch and love it! great job!! I am curious if you might have a simple solution for me. I have been trying for two days to build the wallet and daemon on win7. It took me a long time to find the older version of MinGW that qt needed to install. I did this in a fresh install ( VM ), and made sure not to install git or github, just incase their setups could conflict. Finally, I am now able to build a stable namecoin wallet using the contrib "easy" bat files, however the same approach fails when trying to compile huntercoin. It looks like it still can't find the libraries when trying to build the daemon or qt. Also, since I'm looking to fork this code and dev another coin with a game in it, do you have any advice? Anything at all, but starting with your dev environment. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thank you very much for any answer to this, I know expecting some kind of an in depth reply from you would be hoping for too much so I don't expect anything of the sort, but anything would help. *cheers*

Hi there,
does anyone have a VM that builds the daemon and wallet that they wouldn't mind sharing with me? Windows version preferred, but both are needed.
thanks!

gitian is build system that incorporates a virtual machine to make deterministic builds for bitcoin. the configuration is relatively simple, but if you're looking for 1 click build, this is not it. thanks this is very interesting, and I have used vagrant before. I see one for namecoin, but not for windows. that does make sense, though

Hello,
I'm having a really hard time trying to setup a windows build environment for namecoin, and was curious is maybe this could be easier?
Are there already existing, or possibly does anyone here have, any virtual machines ( virtualbox preferred ) for build environments that I could download, for bitcoin or namecoin, litecoin, etc? it could very much help speed things along.
thank you!
To answer my own question, I have found a thread with linux VM's in it. still looking for windows. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=367949.0

Net Hashrate is only 0.265 Ghs. Coin almost dead
I think mining will increase again once the coin is listed on Cryptsy that's a good chance for us to mine more coins ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) You have that right! I'm getting way more now! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Hello everyone,
I have well over 4,000 HUC and I'm looking to sell them.
Current asking price is:
100 HUC for 0.01 BTC.
I haven't seen any exchanges, so I don't know current rates. This coin just launched on Saturday, it's very new and very popular. If my rate is off, make me a counter offer, it will at least be considered.
Please check out the coin, it comes with a very interesting game.
