Hi @everyone, this is the weekly announcement (last weeks)!

Wallets – Release
We have continued to develop the PoV chain and the Mainnet. The next release (12.2.5) will include the following updates.

- Block timing adjustments which will be activated at a certain block number which is yet TBA.
- Block reward adjustments which will be activated in February
- Improved Masternode list functionality, check and syncing issues
- General bug fixes and stability improvements
- Superblock spacing adjustments (2 per month instead of 4)
- Automatic warning when you wallet is not on the latest version
- Sentinel outputs update and ping timing adjustments
- Governance code clean up and get votes shorten
- InstantSend quorums updates

Still ongoing

- Electron wallet with PoV interface integration
- Portal integration with Governance explorer
- PoV integration with the current Mainnet
- Sentinel Watchdog Replacement

Exchanges
We will go ahead and make payment for the Crex 24 tomorrow. All going well listing will take between 3-10 days. Coinex exchange listing is ongoing and we will update you when we know more.

Numex is another exchange listing opportunity that is available to us, as long as we can stay in the top 25 we should be ok to confirm listing on this new exchange. please vote for ABS here: https://numex.exchange/vote/ We are currently sitting at rank 20, so it’s important that we continue to vote as often as we can.

Social – Marketing Role
We have created a new marketing and social media role, I would like to welcome @CoachCryptos  who is the first member within this role will help maintain out social media feeds. @CoachCryptos  has work on numerous other coins in the past as well a crypto news website. We will be working towards driving new participation and growth within the ABS community.

Governance
We will create a new set of budget proposals for next month, we would appreciate that everyone votes for these as soon as they are available.

Testnet
We want to expand the current testnet, this will require others to help host the next version which will have a significant amount of updates that will need to be tested.

ABS weekly announcement

Wallets – V12.2.5a
We are looking to improve a number of areas of ABS in this release. These include the Masternode list refresh/sync issues and possible changes to Sentinel listings within the status list. We are also improving RPC outputs and some simple bug fixes.

Work on PoV is ongoing but we are looking to get the basic interface sorted in the electron wallet so that it is ready for the start of the PoV chain.

Portal
The Portal server is now setup up ready for further configuration. This has been ongoing for a while now so we will try and get this finished soon.

Exchanges
Weighing up our options, based on what community members have been saying. I feel that listing on Crex24 would be a good idea in the short term to try and improve our volume. Coinex is also a possible listing but we will have wait and see if our application is accepted.

Without further listings it is in doubt if we can get on CMC, so this is a small step in the right direction.

We have until the end of the month to list at 0.2btc. Any objections should be made before the 25th before we proceed with this.

Social media
Our accounts need some more actively, we currently have team user slots available on Hootsuite. If anyone is interested in adding some actively to our accounts, please PM me if you are interested.

Coingecko
We have a solid rank in the low 400’s out of 2782 coins at the moment, we want to get this lower. Our GitHub activity is ok at the moment but we need more action on our social accounts to improve our rank. Doing the following will help us:

- Fork and star our ABS repo on Github
- Follow us on Twitter
- Follow us on Reddit
- Adding posts on the ABS Sub-Reddit

ABS weekly announcement

So it’s been two weeks since the last announcement, so apologies for a break from the normal routine. We have had lots going one elsewhere particularly on my part, so we should be back to service as normal going forward.

Wallets
So the latest V12.2.4a is now available, we would recommend that people use this version to improve stability although it is not mandatory. This release totally removes all older protocol nodes from the network. There were also some small GUI changes made to the wallet.

The next release will include a number of changes based on the outcome of two proposals:

C2 - https://[Suspicious link removed]/2w4efuw  - Block Time Adjustment to 120 seconds?
C3 - https://[Suspicious link removed]/2LkVZBN - Annual Reward Reduction to 50%?

Both of these proposals have passed and will be added into the next release.

Rewards and PoV Payments
Restricting supply via Proposals C2 and C3 brings us in line with our current plans regarding PoV. The standard rewards structure that will be implemented means that supply in year 10 will be just under 18,000 ABS per year and in year 15 will be just 561ABS per year. After 15 years the total ABS release will be 18.4MM ABS leaving over half of supply available for distribution via the PoV subsidised network.
One distribution method regarding the subsidy amount would be set against global advertising turnover and then adjusted based on PoV network performance against a projected target figure.

This means that as the PoV turnover increases this should start to offset the reward reductions on the Mainnet.

Chain Infrastructure
The Mainnet that ABS is currently running on will be adapted to suit the PoV integration, This could move certain areas of the code away from parts of the Dash core that is it currently built on.

The PoV chain in phase one will be built on a separate daemon which will running independently from the Mainnet wallet. The PoV chain will run off of a 10 second block time producing rapid transactions that can be payed via the PoV node interface with the Mainnet at scheduled times. 

This chain is powered via POW CPU mining using quark or similar. We are currently using SHA256 but will adapt this to suit the appropriate node loadings. There will be no rewards from mining on this network.

Wallet Development
We will be moving away from the QT wallet UI that we currently have and base the UI on technology that Discord amongst others is actually built on. The first wallet will be node.js with an electron container. We might at a later stage more totally into a node.js wallet but this is undecided at present. This UI will give us the ability to improve the look and functionality of the wallet. The approach also makes it easier for us to implement the PoV contract interface into the wallet core.

Portal
We are currently setting up a new server which we will then migrate the current portal which is still in development on to. Once this is completed we could allow certain parts of the portal access to the wallet (if we can do it in a secure way) via the electron container. This will allow further details and information from the portal to be displayed in the wallet.

Governance
We would like to encourage member to vote in a regular basis, budgets are an important part of ABS and if we can’t get funding then development, exchange funding and marketing stall. We currently have multi budget proposals in place. These can be viewed via the proposal channels on discord or

We will update the superblock spacing soon so that we can produce two budget per month rather than for. This will be added in to the core code in the next release. 

Coin Market Cap
We recently requested listing on CMC, unfortunately we are still unable to list there. Most areas that they measure the ABS are very good but we need to improve volume before any further application is made.

Exchanges
We currently are looking at listing on Coinex as well as other such as Crex 24. As the budget is tight we are taking our time before deciding where to list. Yobit was another option but the customer service there is not something that we feel is suitable or aligned with our own values.

Week ahead
We have quite a lot of work to do on data fills and populating all the social account we have, I’m making this a priority so that we can push ABS to the next level and hopefully attract some new volume.

More work will be done on the PoV chain which is now been tested at a fundamental level. The UI is currently in development via electron, hopefully we can share something here when we feel is suitable.

A road map which is more detailed is in the works, we know exactly what we are aiming for. The chosen path to get there has taken some time to decide on.

Its taken some time to do due diligence on the wallet and blockchain platforms for the PoV network. We are at the stage now where we can get our heads down and continue on the core network.

Development is split into these areas are present:

- ABS Wallet improvements
- PoV Core network implementation
- Developing the interoperability between the two chains
- Mobile wallet

Wallet release V12.2.4a is now available. This is a non mandatory update everyone that will make your nodes more stable and remove the chance of ending up on a orphaned fork.

This minor release includes:
-Updates to minimum version protocol
-UI changes to the wallet
-GCC size reduction

You can upgrade your VPS node or wallet via Github or the wiki guides.

Its not a mandatory update but it will improve stability of your nodes.

Hi everyone here is your Weekly Announcement

Wallets
A new wallet version 12.2.4a is incoming within the next few days, this is a non-mandatory update which will set the min protocol to 70209. This will mean that older versions will now be totally cut off from the network. We have made some very small UI updates as well. There will be some improvements to the Mac wallet which needed amending from the last release.

Exchanges
We are hoping to list on Crex24 as soon as possible. We are awaiting a review from their team which could take up to a week. More exchanges are a good thing for us and this exchange has good volume in relation to the require listing fee.

Bittrex is also a future possibility but requires some regulation hoops to be jumped through first, there is no listing fee here. This is currently a longer term goal based on the current ability to fund regulation sign off by a us law firm. Adoption on to the exchange is based on merit of the coin, so with further development of the coin this should be viable soon.

We are looking for exchanges of 1 Million dollars of volume per day or higher with low listing fees to help improve our volume. If you know of a good exchange which would be of interest to ABS, the let @Development know.

PoV Network
The base network has been configured, the original plan has been revised since the release of the Litepaper. The Blockchain will work off of a much faster block time of 10 seconds, distribution would be controlled via DNS. No coin will be released on this network. It simply controls consensus and processing of PoV contracts which in turn releasing escrow funds via the PoV Nodes. We will release more details on the network soon.

Portal
This is still on going, We will be making a final push to get this finished next week. There is a substantial data fill require here which we will push out to all social media accounts on completion.

Pool
This is online but needs attention which we haven’t had time for this week. This is another item on the to do list which we will complete when higher priority work is completed.

The Mainnet is already live, although this will go through some significant updates to allow integration into the PoV Chain which we are currently developing.

Masternodes are already available, a higher tier node is planned which will allow access to the PoV network.
