21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCZ] BitcoinZ - zkSNARKs 21b max POW-Zhash No-Premine No-Dev Tax on: July 26, 2019, 02:49:13 PM
Vandar's first act as the great dictator "Trusted Guardian" is to take retribution against one who disagrees with his scam..
I haven't said a word in response this foolishness in a month but here is his cheepsh$t response to someone who doesn't agree with him.

"Violent Behaviour
You attacked too many and too much occation BtcZ Community.
Your reward will be One month mute.
Insulting and direct attacking the community should result in ban, but I forgive about it."

Huh? but I forgive about it"? what does that mean?

Violent behavior? What are you talking about, Vandar? Pointing out you and your buddies for your corrupt actions is violent behavior?
The last post from me was a month ago and anyone can see that I was pointing out was wrong with what they were doing but no one could answer the simple business questions I posed so now they are trying to hound me away? And who did I attack? The lame brains were calling me all manner of names because they were too ignorant to respond intelligently.
When I suggested to them they needed to start giving away coins Vandar ridiculed me. Now they have a "faucet." Go figure. Next they will produce a numbered wallet.
All of you miners need to take a look at the crap that is being pulled here because they are coming after you if you don't toe "Vandar, The Trusted Guardian's" line!
When I asked if the Vandar's proposal allowed vote buying I was ignored or ridiculed as a "troll" whatever that is supposed to mean? But, now Vandar and the ones who supported him have handed out millions of BTCZ to each other that has been taken from miners.
When asked about when and where they were going to incorporate this thing and be ready to comply with coming regulations they had no answer but to respond with "we are a community, community" as if that would make all the legalities go away.
5% of 21 billion they have sequestered for their own use
Violent behavior? What a joke.
They have turned this promising BTCZ into a joke

Hey, I just heard ycash (fork of zcash) will chose 192 7 algo. Can you maybe optimize your miner, so I can mine with 1060 3GB cards on windows ?

Thank you
Hi Trololino,
The 1060 3GB cards should work on Windows 7. On which Windows version do you want to run miniZ?
Thanks.
Cheers
Thinking of giving Ycash a try also using Win10 and Nvidia, thanks!

Good day good day, miniZ. I've been happily running v1.2m on 144_5 for weeks now and have seen all the updates come along without any mention of speed upgrades for 144_5. Any reason I should upgrade as I see these upgrades have been targeted to other algos…. Thanks again for the good work.

Nice 7% upgrade, miniZ! vM running fast straight and true. Thank you so much and keep up the good work. A couple more upgrades like this one on 144_5 and I won't need to be buying any more GPUs!
By the by... seems there is no fan speed control on MSI Afterburner for the new Turing cards. (1660 and 1660Ti) Anyone have an idea because they are running hot even at low power. Thanks.

This is the kind of opening our advertising dollar needs to take advantage of. BTCZ is cheap and easy to use and a nation starving for a currency would be a great place to start.!

Good day everyone! I just gotta tell ya if you are looking for a miner this new miniZ is terrific. All of my GPUs (1060, 1660, 1070, 1080 and 1080ti) are now running fast and true with .40 Sols/w and better with low to no OC and mostly 75% power limit. The miniZ folks are really doing a good job as best I can tell and I have used  EWBF, lol, and Gminer and this latest upgrade is a delight. And no, they aren't paying me to say this, just wanna lend a hand as others have helped me.

Good job on the upgrade, miniZ! All GPUs are now running at .40 or better Sol/w and I have a MSI 1080 hashing @ 66 Sols at  ~150 watts. The launcher is a help, also. I was going to suggest it a few weeks back but figured you would get to it soon enough. Now I have a question or suggestion. What about an FPGA? I know that is a scary subject to some, but I spend ~350 USD on electricity each month and dropping that by 90% sure is enticing. Is there a bitstream in the future? Good on ya for the work you have done already and I have posted kudos on other BTCZ sites. Thanks.

What is/are your favorite pool to mine BTCz (with just one little nVidia RIG) ? And your favorite software ?
Thank you.
Equipool has been great for most of a year now and using miniZ as it seems best miner yet. Both the pool and the miner people are very helpful and available folks, also.
Brand new update for miniZ today. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4767892.msg50160012#msg50160012

After much struggle for stability with the 4x1080ti and 1x1660ti rig I have discovered, on this machine anyway, that the 1660 does not tolerate any OC at all. I quit struggling to find a safe number and went to zero on OC as it kept shutting down the whole rig. Now, mild OC on the 1080s and zero OC on the 1660 seems to have provided stability. ~400 hashes. Wattage at wall is still high around 1300 but I will try to tune out some juice on the 1080s while letting the 1660 alone at 85%. Hope this info helps. As for the "Duke", looking to trade that headache for a couple of peace loving MSI gaming 1070s. Thanks.

Why on earth would a moderator delete a messages of gratitude to the devs for their hard work? It makes no sense so here is another thank you to the devs for their hard work! Unless the moderator takes this one down, too...
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: miniZ, a new fast and friendly Equihash <144,5> <96,5> Cuda miner. on: March 11, 2019, 09:51:45 PM
We did not test miniZ for that GPU specifically, however miniZ supports that GPU family.
Be sure that you are using miniZ Cuda 10 version.

In this forum, recently, there was a comment from another person that runs miniZ on a GTX 1660 Ti without problems.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4767892.msg50034911#msg50034911 (#193)

For stability, try to increase the pagefile a bit more. (Do you have 4x1080Ti plus 1x1660 on the same rig?)
If you need help, for example, you can see how to manage this here.

Let us know how it goes!
Cheers

4x1080ti plus 1x1660ti hashing steady last 24 hrs at 400 Sols. `1350 watts at the wall.
8gb ram 60mb virtual memory up from 56mb. cuda10 win10 419 drivers. It required bios upgrade to MB to find the 1660 and make it all work together. A 1080ti "Duke" just doesn't like to play nice with other cards. Hash rate and power are unimpressive numbers but I will mess with them a bit after I get caught up. Sad to report the 1660 is Not HOT like I was told. ~40-41 hashes at 110 watts. I was expecting closer to 60. Maybe it is great on other algorithms or for gaming but just kinda disappointing on 144_5. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for all the patient help miniZ. Is this all one line?

miniZ.exe --pers=BitcoinZ --url t1h7WGHNLx8hY97UerETfDPVfVj9QqNM94d.n3@mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us:50063 --log --extra --pass minpayout=5000
timeout /t 5
goto loop

also, can't seem to get the miner to find a new GTX1660? Is miniZ configured for that GPU yet?

win10 419 drivers with 4x1080ti 8gb ram 56k virtual memory cuda10 which seems very unstable...

miniZ

this is what I have now. not working >>miniZ.exe --pers=BitcoinZ --url t1h7WGHNLx8hY97UerETfDPVfVj9QqNM94d.n3@mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us:50063 --log --extra --pass minpayout=4000

just trying to click on .bat file and nothing happens. sorry   edit... now the .bat file won't even open either...

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
let's see if we can help a bit more.

First, check if you have this (and only this) line in the bat file. As you see in the screenshot https://i.ibb.co/dL2cWy9/help.png (top window)

Code:
miniZ.exe --pers=BitcoinZ --url t1h7WGHNLx8hY97UerETfDPVfVj9QqNM94d.n3@mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us:50063 --log --extra --pass minpayout=4000

Please check that no '>>' are in there in the begining of the line. If you have the '>>' there, just delete them and save.
Then try again.

Second, check you have a folder with the two files: miniZ.exe and miniZ_btcz.bat. As you see in the same screenshot (bottom window)

Finally, doubleclick on miniZ_btcz.bat.

Tell us what happens now. Smiley

Cheers

** edit ** Too open the bat on notepad, just right click on the file and chose 'Edit' from the menu.
Yes, and thank you again for offering to help. After a very long nap I decided to give this another go, miniZ. The (>>) you see were just arrows to point to what I have in my .bat file. The question no one seems to be able to answer for me is how do I get this .bat into the exe file?? I have a notepad here with the correct .bat file on it and need to put it into a folder with the .exe but no one can tell me how to do that. I created a new "folder' (yippee) now how do I put this .bat file into it and where do I get the miniZ.exe? Sorry to take so much of your time but the downloads were too minimal for an ignorant old fk like me. update... so I now have the .bat file in the new folder but where does the .exe come from?
final update... well praise God! with the help of my loving Filipina wife we figured out how to get this done. Hashing ~4% over Gminer on a 5x6gb 1060 + one 1080 rig. Now to tune it and put it to work on the other 4 machines. Thank you for your patience.
update... any way to add an auto restart to this file? thank you!

Hi BigHarryArmsi,

thank you for the feedback.
There is no config file. On Windows, you can create a .bat file to launch miniZ with your personalised settings.

Hi BigHarryArmsi,
no problem at all, we are here to help. Smiley

Just ignore the sha256 file. We created a .zip file containing some .bat files that you can modify.
SnowGem, ANON and BitcoinZ examples are for equipool. These may be the most useful for you to start.

You can find it here https://miniz.ch/download/  or direct link here
Let us know if it worked for you.

Cheers

Just d/l the miner and it up and runs right off but where is the config file?? Maybe I am blind but the miner says "no pool specified" obviously because I haven't set up a config file and don't see one in the zip or the miner file? Thanks. The speeds look terrific in comparison to Gminer so I would really like to make this work. Thanks again

Hi BigHarryArmsi,

thank you for the feedback.
There is no config file. On Windows, you can create a .bat file to launch miniZ with your personalised settings.

On Windows it is something like this, for BitcoinZ and 2miners pool:

 miniZ.exe --url YourAddress.WorkerName@btcz.2miners.com:2020 --log --gpu-line --extra

You can also run miniZ by just writing the same line on the command shell. Do not forget to modify it to meet your needs.

For more examples you can check here https://miniz.ch/usage/
Also, we created a few posts for most of the supported coins. Check here https://miniz.ch/category/usage/

We hope these tips will work for you.
Feel free to ask for further help, if needed.

Cheers

I'm sorry. Please forgive my ignorance. I don't see where this information is supposed to go? Easy enough to input the correct info but where does this information go?
Do I delete this >>>SHA256 (miniZ.exe) = e35ea131810e49dcdfb4e14e557616b83362fa58310691916d0e4fd666863ef3<< and then rewrite the whole corrected line?
Also, at Equipool there is a password to control payout. where would I add that? Thank you again and please forgive my ignorance.

Hi everyone,

Thank you all staying with us, for your support and feedback!

There is a new miniZ miner version v1.1kSmiley

 * Support for Equihash 96,5 (MinexCoin).
 * Speed improvement up to ~6%, depending on GPU and OC settings.
 * Modified miner behavior when all user pools are down: miner stops mining and tries to reconnect every minute.
 * Cleaner console exit status for better OS management.
 * Bug fixes.

Hive OS support @ https://miniz.ch/2019/02/22/hive-os-support-2/

Use Cuda 10.0 versions with the RTX GPUs. For other GPUs you should test and see which performs best.

For more information, download, and support check the website: https://miniz.ch/
Download miniZ miner here: https://miniz.ch/download/

Happy mining!
Just d/l the miner and it up and runs right off but where is the config file?? I will continue to run lolMiner on my AMD cards. Sorry to hear of this dustup as I love this Gminer v1.08 on my Nvidia cards running 144_5 because it Rocks!
So I came by to ask if this existing v1.08 Gminer supports RTX cards and the new GTX1660s on 144_5 and if anyone has any hashing numbers? I've never seen a reason to upgrade this miner on 144_5.
I'm really disappointed to hear about this apparent plagiarism if true. It needs to be set right!
