I think the wallet only displays hashes when mining WITH the CPU-miner of the wallet.

I use Windows.

Okay, as the first step you have to download the wallet (nocoin compiled it: https://mega.co.nz/#!7ZhWTAAa!R0BFFWkk-YQdJTLDgO8pemp55KcygsvFVPnjAOlRDrU). Wait for it to get the current block chain. When you are up to date, close the wallet and create the config file at this location (C:\Users\<yourName>\AppData\Roaming\Kittehcoin\kittehcoin.conf):

Code:
server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=<someName>
rpcpassword=<somePassword>

Note that you have to add the IP of other miner PCs if you want to let them mine on your wallet, e.g.:

Code:
# Your whole network
rpcallowip=10.0.0.*
rpcallowip=<someOtherIP>

Restart your wallet and try to point your miner to the wallet. If you mine locally, a command line of cgminer could look like this:

Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o localhost:22566 -u myMiner -p xxx

Cheers

Thanks for your fast answers, can you tell me more specifically "point your miner to the wallet"? I do all the steps and the cgminer says that "Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid".

Try the config from zachamo and try the URL he posted for cgminer (after the switch -o, http://localhost:22566/).
Are you sure the username and password in the config and the commandline for cgminer match? Have you restarted your wallet after changing the config?

I cant connect for solo mining with these config setting:

server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=<someName>
rpcpassword=<somePassword>

Seems like its missing some variables?

you need port

Not if he uses the default port.

This is what I have and still doesnt work. hmm

server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=**Username**
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=22566
addnode=198.199.117.221
addnode=82.173.108.213

What is the error message? Can you post your command line of cgminer? Is cgminer running on the same computer as the wallet?

Anyone can guide me how to solomine this? Thanks.

Do you use Windows or some Linux?

Dont replace anything until some well operating and syncing wallet appears. Just stay hidden or we will see some fail like at CATcoin where too many greedy miners and pool operators fucked the whole launch
It is well operating, just no nodes available. 82.173.108.213 seems to be offline.
wallet synchronized. Peerinfo shows this:
198.199.117.221:22566

Yep, the default RPC port is 22566, see here: https://github.com/kittehcoin/kittehcoin/blob/master/src/bitcoinrpc.cpp#L3171

There is already a nearly identically named coin (Kittehcoin): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=383068.60
Not to mention the total fail start of Catcoin...

I just noticed that as well, kittehpool's blocks appear to only be worth 50 each instead of 1,000 - 100,000 like cipher (and like the coin spec says)

Seems like the dev shoulda spent a little more time on this before release

Mining solo leads the rewards in the correct range Wink
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRELAUNCH] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 24, 2013, 01:36:00 AM
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18199

You can pick ANY port here, it does not matter!

I think Bitcoin will rise steadily 2014. People needed the money for Christmas and new year so that's the cause of the crash in my opinion.
Unless another big news will come for bitcoin (like the US bans the use of it or something like that) it is not going to crash and be worthless.
