21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: September 06, 2018, 07:42:16 AM
I invested and joined as bounty hunter in many ICO which has good concept, experienced team members and also good hype but after listing price drops very much. Some of project also not recovering since long time. Any comment.

i think it's totally normal in a bear market and i noticed that too most icos issued in this period are trading below ico price although i don't think that goes for investors from private sales who for the most projects get a high discount on their tokens or coins but to the general sale people are under water but the principles remain the same if you believe in the project and think they have a product that can have a decent future you have nothing to worry about prices will rise again in due time
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs should only create Tokens with Working Product(s) on: September 05, 2018, 07:46:25 AM
Enough of people just creating tokens just for the sole purpose of trading it in exchanges and making money after the ICO. In order for a token to survive or stand the test of time, there is need for it to have a working product or service it directly supports. This is what a lot of tokens are lacking today.

In my opinion, any token to be created should bring in something new. It must be a token that will add value to the society and not just for the purpose of trading it in exchanges and cashing out money.

If we actually want cryptocurrency to survive and appeal to the ordinary people, then we must create ONLY tokens relevant to the society's needs or solves at least a particular societal problem.

Very true but this is human nature and everytime there is money to be made some people will be willing to do anything to get a piece of the cake including some not very honest business that's why in my opinion the responsibility falls on the investors to do their due dilligence and research and not fall victim to the hype since the market is not regulated enough to take care of cases like that.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies? on: September 03, 2018, 03:14:33 PM
i think it is risky to buy any kind of cryptocurruncy to be honest and i don't think the market cap is the be all end all to decide and check the risk associated with investing in a coin but yes i think top 20 for me is less risky than the rest at the time ,i mean things change constantly in crypto a coin that's now in the top 100 can easily fall and vice versa and that's why i actually like this s***t the best thing in my opinion is to do your research make your own decision on what to buy and have a target for when to get out  Grin
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs ADA on: August 31, 2018, 10:21:17 AM
For me it's NEO easily although i like ADA too and think it will have a great future i just like the way NEO is working and growing their ecosystem constantly with new and exiting use cases for their public blockchain and they have a great community of developers to deliver and a good marketing and partnerships strategies the fact that it's a project from china is just the icing on the cake, all in all i think NEO can reach bigger goals in the middle and long terms.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the Market Finally Uptrend? on: August 30, 2018, 08:13:27 AM
The bear market have lingered and has made many people lose faith in cryptocurrency. This is evident in the number of sell off recorded for the past few months. However, signs of recovery are beginning to emerge; BTC have crossed $7000 and still remain strong. Similarly, Ether have started showing strong signs of recovery after depreciating significantly for the past couple of weeks. Can we therefore, say that the much awaited upward trend is here?

What is your opinion?

yes it's nice to see some green candles but i don't think that the trend reversed yet as we are still in a bear market with lower highs and lower lows and for me personally i would like to see positive price action being sustained for weeks or months before declaring a bull run. but patience will be important in these conditions.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden Gems on: August 29, 2018, 09:31:06 AM
I've seen people call coins with a market capitalisation of more than a billion dollars. Those are not gems. The small market caps, listed on small exchanges, those are gems!

Devery, CPChain, Universa.

Look into those!

exactly an over billion dollars market cap coins is not a GEM and it's not hidden either first doing your research is very important you can take suggestions from people but not follow them blindly, so i think Devery is there ZAP is another one i like and CHX these are like invisible right now no one or very few are willing to put there money on them but i'm sure that once they're out there in the open during a bull run you'll start seeing the gains, oh and PRIV is another great one too  Grin
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stay informed about Altcoins? on: August 28, 2018, 11:19:30 AM
There are now many hundreds of Altcoin and token projects. Most of you will certainly be invested in many. How do you manage to keep informed about them? Do you use special websites or tools as well as strategies not to miss anything?

in this space you need to use all the resources that you can find but i think you can check ico sites but don't mind their ratings do your own research and of course you should have an idea of what you're looking for to actually find it and then i just put them on a watchlist where i keep going to check the website blogs announcement threads etc , the altcoins annoucement on this forum is also a good way to discover new projects.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $2000 to invest ? on: August 27, 2018, 03:25:19 PM
I have got have $2000 to invest and I am planning to invest it into stellar, ripple, ethreum or else half the amount in but coin and remaining half in newly launched ICO. Which one would be a better option?

it really depends on your risk acceptance but for me i would go with high R/R investment and put $500 in 4 different small cap projects that are fundamentally strong and forget about them until bull market comes back in full swing and you will be buying them pretty cheap bottom price most of them are below ico price, though bitcoin ether and XRP are safer good options too, good luck anyway  Grin
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading by technical analysis or just intuition? on: August 24, 2018, 04:27:10 PM
Trading " just by intuition" is a nice way to say "degen gambol". I think after 5 years of profitable trading a person can trust his guts, not earler

Absolutly you can't go just on intution you need to learn trading and do the actual work but of course your intution can help you but only after your technical research has been done properly  Smiley
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: August 21, 2018, 09:21:25 PM
Indeed the market will recover and in this case selling on a 50% loss wouldn't be a wise decision in my opinion better HODL since you put money in some large cap coins which i think are gonna be the ones to bounce back first in a bull market and that is if you believe that crypto is here to stay if not confident then selling is the best option at least it will give some peace of mind
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What the Hell is going on with Crypto market? on: August 21, 2018, 09:06:38 PM
Yeah pretty much for every coin or token out there the fall has been brutal but the market will recover in due time some are gonna be hurt more than others it will be intresting to see how a bull market would play out after all this fall as for the tech part i think it will be revolutionary and continue to grow it's impact into the future
32  Other / Archival / Re: ICO without whitepaper on: August 17, 2018, 03:25:36 PM
Personally , I don't think there should be an ICO without whitepaper. The whitepaper bridges the gap between an investor and a company. Can we say a ICO without a whitepaper is a scam? Or what can you say about an ICO without whitepaper

well it may not be a scam for sure but an ico without whitepaper looks scammy and shows at least in my opinion that the team behind it is not even set on what they want to build and what they want to achieve with their project other than to obviously sell some utility tokens through an ICO for me i wouldn't invest in an ico with no whitepaper no matter the hype behind it
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: August 17, 2018, 10:25:10 AM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

Absolutely not you can't trust their ratings if they are paid to do so it's actually quite misleading that you get bad projects with a 5/5 rating and a good one with a 2.5/5 just because they didn't pay so i don't think you should factor them in your analysis as they are very biased altough they're exist some good ico reviews websites that can help such as https://cryptobriefing.com/ico-reviews/ where there is never a paid or sponsored review  Grin
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: August 16, 2018, 09:30:42 AM
I'm just hodling since the January drop. Stupid me I didn't sell enough of my coins that time. Just wondering what are you guys doing. Still holding or you pulled out your investments in the mean time?

i don't think anyone should sell an asset that's over 80% down but i agree with you securing profits in good times is the best strategy, you could have more money to buy now on the cheap or if you still have funds you should just average down on projects you like
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GET OUT WHEN YOU CAN!!OR STAY AND CRY! on: August 16, 2018, 09:27:56 AM
sadly it is over friends!!!but of course too hard to believe!

ooh it's far from being over it's only beginning and this is the time that will define if you gonna win or lose from this, the people who will survive this bear market and learn and improve because of it will be the ones people will say were just lucky to be in a bull market next time around  Grin. crypto is here to stay and thrive
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look at the market, are you scared? on: August 15, 2018, 03:37:47 PM
Recently, Apple has become a trillion dollar company. You see, Apple is just a company, yet it has quadrupled its entire investment in Crypto. We do not take into account other investment channels, such as real estate, gold or the huge cash flow that is floating or lying dead in the bank. Just only 1% cash flow of the stock market dump on Crypto, our property will increase tens of times. Do not know what you think but I still prefer to invest in it, it's risky but the potential is huge. I was ready to get another job and wait 10 years to reach $1 million. I will never give up this market.

hi i'm not really afraid and i think that's due to me being a bit of a contrarian i know that what i'm doing is good just by how much people want it and believe in it and for crypto it's dwindling by the day weak hands are selling at 70%+ losses just to stay afloat im calm cool and collected i know the time will come and i have the patience required to wait for my moment but seeing others panic comfortes me as f ed up as it sounds. 37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel like quitting? on: August 13, 2018, 02:11:06 PM
The market has been down for too long. Do you feel like quitting cryto because you ve lost much?
For me, am a die hard fan of crypto. I will be a coward if i run away. I will stay till the green light shows. What about you?

i've never felt like quitting honestly i'm here for the long term and i take an "as long as it takes" mindset this is only the beginning as a matter of fact i see this time as ideal to learn more and set yourself for success when market action reverses. patience is the name of the game and fortune favors the brave  Grin
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product a key factor for a project? on: August 10, 2018, 12:50:22 PM
Hey guys, for me is definitely a big yes. Personally feel that having a product is important for ICO project.

What's your view on this matter?

i mean absolutely if a project doesn't have a product or a service to sell, then how can we expect it to make any kind of profit other that the money they get by selling their "only a utility token" i think every project that respects itself should at least have an MVP/Prototype and an accurate timeline for the finalisation of the work other than that i can't honestly trust the team to deliver.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Future in Crypto on: August 10, 2018, 11:08:00 AM
Yes it is good if you don't have a job before joining crypto world but I will like to seek ideas from those that have reasonable jobs and I really want to know if you truly believe in Crypto so as to give away your job and fully dedicate full time to crypto or its not worth leaving everything because I see it as a long journey which I need to learn everyday.

its a really long journey like you said full of ups and downs you don't have/need to quit your day job to show that you believe in crypto actually having a job when you're early in crypto can help put your savings in crypto and keep on educating yourself everyday on your spare time this thing is a marathon not a sprint and you need everything that can help plus i feel like having a day job doesn't put an immense pressure on you to "make it" and lets you make it on your time and be more patient with it
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN you believe in 100% on: August 09, 2018, 01:07:51 PM
what is the one ALTCOIN you believe in that you will never sell? and why

there is no ONE altcoin i believe in 100% because the market doesn't care if you believe in it or not if it will dump hard you'll be gutted for not wanting to sell and even if you believe in it and the prices pump you should be securing some profits and you can always come back and buy lower if you still believe in it
