I am getting a server provided error page at bitbook.biz atleast now instead of a browser provided one.. Hopefully a good sign :S

Really? The attack must be ongoing becaues I still get the browser error.

Interesting, I am back to getting the browser error aswell. I refreshed a few times and got a server error page that showed me connected to the internet -> connected to "CloudFlare in Newark"? -> then a failed connection to "Webhost". I will screen shot if I see it again!

no update again sir?

You referring to an update about bitbook.biz? I don't work for them, just simply use their book. I too am following the official bitbook thread waiting for information. Hopefully it will be back up soon!

So I imagine that if (and when) BitBook is up and running, all of us here will be withdrawing their bitcoins?

I still have the same level of trust as before this occured.

It's now clear that the recent downtime has been caused by a DDoS attack and a resulting issue with our hosting provider. To say the least, we find this very frustrating and disappointing.

We have managed to recover a recent database, and are currently working to restore the site. We do not have a clear timeframe on this yet.

We realize that this isn't ideal for anyone, but we appreciate everyone's patience.

Thank you for the update. "managed to recover a recent database" what exactly does this mean? All funds are still recorded right? Or is it going to roll-back to a previous record? I think the majority of the people are more concerned with their funds being safe, as opposed to when they can bet again (except for maybe that bunny person, smh).

Our man is back online here on the forums Smiley Hopefully good news ahead!

Yea hopefully he says whether the site will ever be back or not so I don't have to worry about it anymore. If it's gone for good at least I will know I don't have to worry or have hope of it coming back.

Send me some BTC! I will gladly inform you they arent coming back, and in good time too Smiley

I think you guys need to calm down and quit saying scam every time something small happens. All it does is cause FUD and thats not what we need in the bitcoin world these days with everything going on. I trust Bitbook, sure we all get frustrated about the occasional slow grade or whatnot, but labeling scam already is a bit overkill. People are just looking for a witch hunt these days, and you wouldn't go publicly accuse someone of rape or murder unless you are 100% positive. In the real world a false accusation like that would ruin someones life, and in this world a SCAM label will ruin someones business. Please just be patient and have faith in Bitbook, I have left a running total of 5-15 BTC on my account for over 3 months on this site, and tho I know its not the smartest idea to leave BTC anywhere, it just goes to show the amount of trust I have in this service.

bit book, are you going to have spring training MLB?  and will you have 1st 5 inning bets?

We probably won't have spring training, but we do offer 1st 5 inning bets.

I imagine this guy being a total jackass in real life.

The guy was asking about Spring Training and your answer was NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT HE WAS ASKING....

What a joke of a sportsbooks.

Shitty odds and they steal your BITCOIN

What are you talking about?  He answered both questions asked of him.

I quoted the wrong response but it doesn't matter.  This "sportsbook" is a shady operation with horrible odds and I can only hope everyone else sees it.

And they fukin stole my BITCOIN!!!

You quoted the wrong person, but referred to the Spring Training question? Hmm.. I could imagine you being a total jackass in real life.

Jackass or not I don't STEAL form people!!!  Especially loyal customers.  Who are you by the way?  They give you -113 juice to come here and defend them?

Nope, just never been done wrong by bitbook. And I pointed out 2 or 3 pages ago why they could not refund your loss.. "Because if they did, then anybody could manipulate them into sending refunds to double their bitcoin stash.. blaming it on foul play." But you are basically trolling this topic, acting like an asshole, complaining about something that was ultimately your own fault. So Im just waiting till u eat the loss and GTFO, and will be happy watching as you do so.

I have always used Bitbook. The odds may not be as good and the sports may be limited, but it is the only book I have found that allows live betting on every timeout. That is very important to me since most of my bets are made live.

Hello,

I just sent you an email regarding 2 withdraws that were made from my account which is now showing $0 BTC!!!

Can someone please look in to this as I am very concerned....

Thank you!

Responded via email.

I'm calling bullshit on you end.  I never made those withdraws and now you're just going to ignore me.  I asked you in my emails about an IP check or something because that's fucking bullshit that out of nowhere I am missing more than 2.5 bitcoin.

I'm calling foul play on your end.  You think I'm just making this up?  Someone clearly stole my bitcoin and I'm not just going to sleep on this!!

You understand that they can't just go refunding any "fraudulent" withdraw. They are not a bank and not insured, so the risk is on you. Im assuming the site was not compromised since I still have my BTC and Im sure everyone else does too, so if it is foul play then it is a single instance directed at your account. I would suggest a more unique username/password, or to also check if your email/master-password/computer is compromised. If Bitbook was able to offer a refund anytime this happened, I easily could log into my account from a different IP, withdraw all BTC, then claim I got hacked and the refund would have to come from BitBook.. In turn, doubling my BTC.

We should make a web-node IRC so we can hangout/discuss bets?

or some kind of shoutbox/chatbox like they have on one of the competitor sites

Ha yes anything other than this forum!
