The resolution: Replacing the sync checkpoint server private key and the alert private key in the code with new private keys and releasing new wallets. Of course, backing up this vital information. I will provide Matt and Spencer with copies of this information as well, so the community will have some reassurance and options in any future event.

Finnally I'm up and running. Had to install a new wallet and let it sync empty, before replacing the wallet. Sad that there is no buy support at Bittrex, but it seems natuarlly due to the fact that there haven't been any progresss or publicity lately. Though I believe that Sterlingcoin is still a solid project. Just look what the original core developers have been up to lately.  I have got access to the VPS and will shortly try to install a wallet and support the network as soon as possible. This is my first try out with Linux so first up is to configure firewall, secure connection and so on. It's going to be interesing. If you mean so called "cold wallet" method of running masternode, then no, you cannot use that.
SterlingCoin does not have masternode support, it has only regular staking function.

I found SEQ when trying a last time to add the coin, but it seems like the price isn't syncing.

Using Win 10 right now.
I haven't fired up my wallet since october... Did it for some hours ago, but the sync stops at 60549 blocks, using 1.5.1.1. Is there a bootstrap I can use?
Hi oneoff, I can do one better than a bootstrap, a linear bootstrap: http://sterlingcoin.org/sterlingcoin-682683-bootstrap.dat (336 MB) It is about 18k blocks behind the current height of 701035 and is just over a month old, but should get you up-to-speed quicker and, being linear, contains no orphans. I hope that helps! Thanks for the boot strap, but it didn't solve my problem. The wallet continues to stop syncing at the same spot, right now at app. 6487 remaining blocks. I have tried to remove everything in the Dat-folder, tried -rescan, added some nodes I found in this thread, all this without any success. Do you have any further ideas what I can do? It seems like I'll put the Raspberry Pi plans on the shelf. Found out that I'll probably have access to a VPS. Do I have to send all coins to the wallet I may install on the VPS. Or can I use privkey, in similar way as hos Dash masternodes work. Where the coins remain in my " wallet" on a separate computer, while VPS runs the staking/node-function. Hope you understand what I'm looking for |

Today it seems the service to be down. Is service performed?
Once the explorer is accessible is up, I must say that you have done a lot of great things lately.
It is now finally synced. Indexing is going much faster now that it has. You may have checked during one of the many reboots while it was being tuned. It should be up consistently now. Works like a charm! |

I have fired up my wallet 1.5.1.1. to help keeping this coin afloat on Bittrex.
But it stops syncing at app. 57778 remaining blocks. I have removed the block chain once, used the boot strap, waited over 30h etc. But it keep stoping, this is my third time I’m trying to get the wallet in sync.
3 hours later the number has increased "57879 remaining blocks". I will make a fresh snapshot and edit this post with a link to it. Give me some time (1-2 hours) to do that and get it uploaded. Sorry for the most boring question in the Bitcoitalk history, but why does not my SILK wallet (64bit) sync? Never had problems with wallets before, My Silk wallet does not have a single connection.
