21  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: MultiplyMyBTC.com - 1.7 X Your Entry Pyramid Game on: July 22, 2011, 08:09:58 AM
Rules updated: http://www.multiplymybtc.com/rules.html

Also I will be thinking about doing the "who enters the most" gets a prize. Thanks for the idea..although I like multiple rounds.
To track who enters the most would be difficult because blockexplorer changes the addresses or gives more than 1

That's the client's doing cause when sending it grabs a random key from the keypool.
22  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTC-BOT! THREE DIFFERENT GAMES! NOW WITH BLACKJACK! on: July 22, 2011, 08:01:00 AM
NOW HAS BLACKJACK!
23  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTC-BOT! TWO DIFFERENT GAMES! on: July 21, 2011, 06:40:53 PM

CMRN was also offered percentage ownership in future profits from the bot.

The two players you advertise to get traffic to your bot are on your payroll.

At the time of the wins he had no ownership in the bot.

FYI phungus is only angry because I sold the last share of ownership to another player (cmrn) instead of him.

So, Znh is now hooked in to the profits of this game, so you're advertising one of your 'investors' as a player in your game to try and get others to send coins to you.

You should make this transparent.

The coins sent in are used by the bot, I make my profits off the commission charged for each game.

29  Economy / Gambling / Re: A simple lottery with 50% chance to win on: July 20, 2011, 10:59:51 PM
Sure.

Bet bank initialized with tens of bitcoins to ensure everyone can win if they win. Even if payout is higher than bet bank, lottery transaction can be processed in hand mode later, when i add some funds to bet bank.

Jackpot has also separate bank.

I see, I also run a similar game and it is probably the most popular of the three, http://berlin.ifixshit.net/index.php?page=commands
!roll is the command for the game.
The only problem I have run into is the occasional extreme win streak destroys the bank
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: A simple lottery with 50% chance to win on: July 20, 2011, 10:43:43 PM
After having a long run with PRNGs and gambling, I suggest using a TRNG like random.org.

You can snatch random numbers from: http://www.random.org/integers/?num=1&min=1&max=100&col=1&base=10&format=plain
Okay, random.org library is on the way. I thought about it. Currently using /dev/urandom source.

also does it payout 160% winners from the jackpot or is there a seperate bank account then only a certain amount gets entered into the jackpot?
Jackpot is an odd number, so it can't win 160%. Jackpot is a Jackpot. You can send any bet (0.1 through 1), and if you take 777, you will be paid with full current jackpot bank. So because "no jackpot" rounds processed when jackpot bank is lower than max bet.

Jackpot has a separate "untochable" account, where ##% of any valid incoming transaction is added each time.

Ivalid bets (out of 0.1-1 range) are paid back without getting tickets.

What i was asking is if you had a separate account for betting bank and jackpot.

Wow, he was so close...

And no, no rigging, just getting /dev/urandom bytes from PHP Smiley

Anyways, seems very similar to betcoin.eu except the chances on yours are worse, also does it payout 160% winners from the jackpot or is there a seperate bank account then only a certain amount gets entered into the jackpot?

Just throwing in a little bump, needs some more entries for the current round!
37  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Private key for address with 5 BTC. on: July 20, 2011, 06:49:59 AM
Sent 0.1BTC for the first four characters to get things started.
http://blockexplorer.com/tx/5bc74811af3886fbb4ef551fa6e28cabe02ee8470559bcbbebf155c858aae361

>>> random.seed(3)
>>> for i in range(4): print random.randint(1, len(data))
...
39
89
60
98
>>> for i in range(4): print r[random.randint(1, len(data))]
...
f
7
C
0

from that output it doesn't show that you type random.seed the second time, so it would have continued from the last point in the PRNG and the f 7 C 0 would be wrong
38  Economy / Gambling / Re: RaffleBit.com --> High-paced bitcoin raffles for fun! on: July 20, 2011, 03:52:29 AM
Well, you could just look at random.org's data yourself?
Everyone will get a different number.

Yeah, I've looked into it and there's no way of doing lookups on random.org generation history. I'll continue to work on scalable solutions that don't involve using a semi-random block method, or a lotto-number-matching system. As it is, the random.org works great and it'd be nice to see some activity Smiley

You could just dump out the hash of a PRNG seed then after each round give them the actual seed.

see void srand($seed)

As I've designed it, the raffle is not able to be subverted in any way, and the games move so quickly that a scam-style RaffleBit would be nixed by the BTC community very quickly. Rounds are designed to sell out over the course of a few hours. If 2k people a day were paying attention, the system would get a bad reputation really quickly, and stop being used!
 Grin
You can subvert it. I bet you could take thousands and thousands of dollars worth of BTC before anyone would suspect something was up with your picking method. The more popular it is, the easier it is to continue taking money without anyone suspecting anything. Everyone is anonymous. It's to be expected that the winners are unknown.

Well, you could just look at random.org's data yourself?
