21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will Rock in 2022. on: February 01, 2022, 12:14:46 PM
I think all altcoins have a chance to grow higher in 2022, but if you look at the trend and hot conversations of most people, I am very optimistic that metaverse and NFT tokens have a great chance to shake up the market this year,
These are very controversial now, the NFTs and Metaverse project that has created hype.
But we should be careful because not all of them have the potential of making a profit, maybe it's a pure hype that possibly lures investors but there's no real product like a metaverse.

I still look forward to the high-volume coins which are on the top of the CMC because they are very hard to be manipulated the price.
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $100000?! on: February 01, 2022, 12:07:25 PM
It's possible and I believe that bitcoin will reach that price, it's on the way but the problem is there's no time frame when that will happen.
Maybe when there's a bitcoin next halving the usually bitcoin price goes up after that event. But as of now, I can't tell much because it's unclear direction which is there's no technical analysis alone can predict the market.

But if you applied fundamental analysis, bitcoin will surely raise because there are too many investors that has believe in bitcoin investment.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: February 01, 2022, 10:46:09 AM
Bitcoin is controlled by people like you and me who believe in Bitcoin and want to collect Bitcoin. If we all start selling Bitcoin then it will definitely go down in price. And if we continue to buy Bitcoin without selling it, its price will definitely go up. And it always happens that everything depends on people like us.There is no miracle behind it he he
But the question is, who is controlling the crypto market or the price of bitcoin.
I must say, there are many investors now, big institutional investors and even some governments in a few countries have been investing in bitcoin now because they saw the potential and I think, they are one of the causes who are controlling the market price when they sell, the market will move and when they bough bitcoin the market also has a reaction.

Actually, no one controls the market, when there are also a few people who get FUD and panic selling, they will create a longer bitcoin price movement.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the reduced publicity? on: February 01, 2022, 09:53:20 AM
~
This kind of reminded me as a gamer back in the days not knowing that such gaming forums like GBATemp forum exists. It's not just happening to this forum. It can happen to any forums that I could also have not been aware of.
And yes, it's not like those social media platforms that gets into the mainstream in no time. When it comes to forums these days, people might have been thinking of something like Reddit or 4Chan.
Because people are seeking information and found this forum, not the forum itself seeking attention to the people I think there's no hidden agenda for that. The forum doesn't have ads so that people will lead to the forum, it's just people searching on it.
But as I can see is different these days, those who came up here asking about how to rank up, how to earn money or how to obtain merits to rank up. Nobody wants to learn and asking what is blockchain and bitcoin or are they have correlation to each other.

In short, the forum is open to all.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: February 01, 2022, 09:43:44 AM
Hi crew. Hope you are all well in new 2022. Good moment to buy btc or eth?
They are all pumping now so hopefully you are able to buy the moment you post this one, if yes you made a profit now but if not and still analyzing, better to wait for some pullback because for sure the price will go back to $35k again so be patient and wait for it. The current price is still cheap though, you can decide to buy now and hold until the market recovers. I bought some already and will surely buy again if there’s still an opportunity.
I would suggest anytime would be a better one because what if bitcoin will continue to raise at any moment and there's no pullback the price.
Every time is good to buy bitcoin or even ethereum as long as you can able to hold this for a long term, there's a potential of gaining profit if you are willing to hold it for a long term purpose. Short term trader is very risky and we don't know where's the price of the market heads up.

Trusted and tested coin like bitcoin and ethereum isn't doubtful to invest, they always have a potential once you will hold them and wait at the right time to gain profit. So, yes for me just invest of what you can afford.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for crypto trading on: January 31, 2022, 10:52:23 PM
Trading strategies change with time since the market changes. Crypto is not the same like last year. Or more like couple of years ago. Its constant learning and implementing new things in your trading.
This is the right fact, trading has no permanent strategies that can be used repeatedly and they don't have the same movement in the past.
We should learn how they will move and set an analysis and strategy on it. But there are two analyses that were never faded and it seems these are the best analysis until now. Its technical and fundamental analysis.

You can set a strategy in a whole year, you can use it maybe at once but it will not happen again or I don't believe that there's a strategy in trading. It's all analysis and study about the movement but we don't know that actual outcome.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 31, 2022, 10:21:16 PM
That's what happened when you are not focused with trading, we all know it's risky but having drugs and alcohol while trading will certainly destroy your game plan and you won't be able to concentrate on what you are doing.

That's a sad story and why bitcoin or crypto has been part of alcohol and drugs which is they are not relatively close. Bitcoin is a financial system that needs a focus, it's an investment that seriously needs knowledge and skills in order to become a trader. Crypto is not like a drug and alcohol that can be addicted quickly and I don't think that man should be blamed here because he is addicted to drugs and alcohol he gets lost all his portfolio.

I am sure this man was chasing his loss in order to sustain his alcohol and drugs and now he cants able to do that matter he lost everything
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 30, 2022, 10:20:31 PM
Is this DOTA2 game still common now? I think that's an old game and don't think many people will still play on this.
CSGO is very popular and in any shooting games, esports games like basket and FIFA are also popular. I have usually placed bets on CSGO tournaments but I can't follow and watch well the game because I'm busy every day, just waiting for the result, and sometimes I have won.

There are too many esports games now that we can place a bet on now and if you have time watching them live seems much more enjoyable.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of cryptocurrency regulation in the metaverse on: January 30, 2022, 10:04:58 PM
When cryptocurrency is regulated, it doesn't matter if you have augmented reality GUI in top of your physical world. When you are dealing with something that has significant value, you have already subjected to regulations.

It seems that a lot of people are confused about metaverse since they do not really grasp the whole concept. Let us try to put it in layman's terms: A metaverse is basically a virtual environment. We could be talking about the traditional virtual world or something different, such as another online social platform like Facebook, or many other networks where you have digital identities. Or, we could be talking about the augmented reality, where you can bring the real world to life, mixed in with digital objects. But, in any case, we are still talking about the digital world we already know today, and that is the Internet. Any regulation that is imposed on the Internet can be easily carried over to the metaverse as well.

This is the right explanation and it is explained very well.
If there's a regulation on metaverse to be imposed then, what is the problem? Regulations aren't a problem here and any metaverse projects will use existing coins for privacy purposes if you really wanted.

This trend has been expected that has become a wide adoption and it seems people wanted to explore the virtual world and since they are using cryptocurrency, for sure the adoption on it will also increase.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is at the most oversold level on: January 30, 2022, 09:43:28 PM
It seems that the balance hasn't decided yet which trend to tip. If I had the famous meme at hand... you know, the one about the man and the stick encouraging Bitcoin to do something.

It is still one day left before January ends. After some days of quiet calm, we might see great volatility levels again in the next hours and I hope the OP is right and the market is oversold.
We're heading at the bull trend I guess.
As we witnessed, the market has been struggling to recover the price because many people or even small-time investors are now continuously kept panicking and selling their assets,s and also the FUD has been prolonged. It's normal to see that bitcoin price or the entire market has been experienced a fluctuation of the price that makes volatility.

The market remained unpredictable and nobody knows when it will happen if there's a massive drop.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization ain't the solution to everything on: January 30, 2022, 09:29:32 PM
It's not like that, my friend. Every program is built with a good purpose in mind. It is impossible for decentralization to give criminals the freedom to commit crimes. Concerns like yours can also be assessed positively and your concerns on Decentralization are like the concerns of many parties on crypto that can be misused.
Everything can be misused and turn into crime and even on centralized platforms, there will be a crime.
It's not about the purpose of decentralizing is about the scam, it's also about if you are worried about your privacy which is putting your life in danger. The decentralized platform can avoid also possible crime like hacking or any fraud activity, if you know how this will work you will be totally safe upon using a decentralized system.

Maybe a decentralized system is not a solution for everything but at least it can help and give contributions to people that wanted to have freedom, financial and privacy, not a crime.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Choosing the right exchange on: January 30, 2022, 09:10:52 PM
The goal is to have the highest chance for getting my low bid order filled, especially because my order will be big (I think). I thought that Kucoin might be better for this, since the volume is way higher. But I have observed both exchanges for 2 days now and often Gate.IO has a lower price and also seems to have more units on sale. Is that possible, despite Kucoin having a way higher volume? Or am I reading it wrong?

Don't believe those volumes, exchanges are known for faking their volume, and kucoin exchange from my experience is one of those exchange doing this excessively. I was once active on the exchange due to the possiblity of getting newly listed gem before other top exchanges does but I noticed they have more of bots than active traders. I  haven't used gate.io that much so I won't have much opinion on them.
<....>
This is right and I agree with you, for me it doesn't matter the volume because it's easy to fake especially when exchanges use bots which are obviously the bots works automatically when placing orders. I had used Gate.io and also Kucoin, comparing them and I think Kucoin exchange platform which far better when it comes to trading volume, though there are some obvious prices manipulated by the bot at least there's a massive number of traders which is can cover how the bot work is.

So, don't look up the trading volume because that is very easy to fake especially if the coin is a low volume.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 30, 2022, 08:57:32 PM
the answer to that question and simply never. we have to be realistic the price of bitocin will not increase infinitively, has limit because there will be competition, people will prefer other altcoins that are better than bitcoin. so we have to be realistic about this. there are people who kid themselves thinking that the price of bitcoin will increase a lot to the point of worth a million dollars

The main question was this "Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich?" I personally don't believe so even if Bitcoin were to reach $1m, 0.01BTC isn't enough to make you rich even in some third world country however, you cannot really conclude like you did that you know for certain how much Bitcoins price will not reach because if you were asked this question 10 years ago, I believe you would have said that Bitcoin will never get to $68k like the guy in this Post and if for sure people will prefer other Alts to Bitcoin.
When you said it will make you rich which means that's a forever or infinite source of income through bitcoin which is I don't believe that 0.01 bitcoin can sustain to be able to change your financial status and called you rich. That's right, that's not enough amount to accumulate and called you rich, maybe 4-5 bitcoin is enough then the fraction number of bitcoin.

Maybe that's good if you don't have any, not being rich but at least we know we have profited on it, that's enough.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True Value of BTC on: January 29, 2022, 06:02:17 AM
@franky1 explained it very well, thanks to him.

Make it simple, a simple answer is because the demand is the supply of which it trades that the seller is willing to sell and the buyer is willing to buy and that's how we determine the price of bitcoin. The good thing is bitcoin price didn't pegged to anything which means each currency has a different value.  So if the market which dollar has been used it should determine to the buyer that willing to buy.

Do you know that there are many tokens that offers nothing but rewards when holding them? They most times ends with ---nomics you hold the tokens you get some altcoins in your wallet every 4hrs or so, what is your view on such projects?
A marketing strategy right?

It could be a trap of something like they said above, it's a Ponzi scheme.
Yes, it doesn't make any sense because it looks like a very suspicious project, if I were you, just invest in the coin that has potential and that will surely gain profit at the end.

Don't ever think like this because that's impossible to happen.
We have an admin(s) responsible for this and maybe admins making sure that the forum will long last. In fact, the server of this forum was hosted by https://www.simplemachines.org/ which is an open-source web application that provides Internet forum and message board services based on their website.

So now, how this forum become offline if it seems we are in the decentralized website?

40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling elementary tools on: January 20, 2022, 03:23:44 PM
Well when it comes to gambling from the start I think the most important thing is to first make sure that you’re only willing to gamble/bet what you are willing to lose. That’s first then you decide on what you want / enjoy gambling on simply by experimenting with the different games whether sports betting or playing cards. Then teach yourself about how to play.
That is also the way I started in gambling but I never think about too much profit, hitting the jackpot, and most especially chasing your loss. That wasn't on my mind before. I gamble because I am happy on it, I gamble because I have extra money on it and I gamble because I already know the games that I commonly played.

Just a tip, maybe it is good if you gamble the game that only you know and expert on it. Because on that way maybe you have an advantage idea than your opponent or other players. This could be a good start to look at by the newbie in gambling if they wanted to start.
