iam looking at running a promotion and need some information on our coin and what makes it different then others as well as what are the pro's of the coin. Please jot down anything you can add. much appreciated.
Please try to make sure the information you are disseminating is accurate... thx. Particle is not a PoS coin, and our Android wallet will not be the 1st PoS Android wallet, most likely that will be Whitecoin. You should be able to pull the information you are looking for from this thread and the OP on your own. |

You guys asked for a multipool, so I built a multipool. It wasn't in my original plans and I don't really want to be in the pool business but it seemed easy enough to slot it in. Now that its up you want bonuses and features and no fees. I can't foot the bill for everything, I have to pay for the server somehow. We've had a low hashrate and we've still hit enough blocks to equivalent of about 1 BTC.
Fully automating the selling, buyup and payout process will take some time and scripting. We can't really offer up earnings estimates until we have some data, and the more hashrate the better that baseline will be.
So, I built the multipool. It's up. It's up to you guys to make the most out of it.

how do we monitor our hash rates, our payouts, and info like that?
Can we put in our particle wallet address and password somewhere that will give us access to such info?
Right now you can see basic stats on the pool summary page but it doesn't break it down for the individual address. My plan is to integrate it into the particle shares website with nice charts and graphs  |

I have updated http://particle.shockpools.com to look nicer and it has the instructions for connecting to the Scrypt and SHA multiports. Let's get some hashpower so we can find blocks! I will do payouts every 24 hours or once the BTC equivalent is at least 1 BTC. Right now it about 0.1 BTC. If we can get 100 MH/s or so on the Scrypt port we'll be doing pretty good. |

PRT is not a PoS coin... I agree, there is cooler stuff to come. I put the multipool together since people asked The multipool is running, we have mined coins, I just have not done any payouts yet because I have to write a report script. I'm still trying to solve the vardiff problem, once that is fixed and the pool homepage cleaned up then we can promote it and open the floodgates. The android wallet will be a nice thing to have, and then some other things that will set us apart from other coins. |

I am up now. I slept for 19 hours :-)
The pool is working, but the vardiff is stuck at 8. I will spruce up the UI and then figure out how to do payouts and get a process for that in place. We mined a bunch of Scrypt coin overnight, but we should be able to mine more if I get vardiff working. Same thing for SHA. For quark, I need to figure out what a good difficulty setting is.
But remember, the multipool is intended to mine other coins, and then buyup PRT and payout in PRT. If you want to also CPU mine PRT directly, you can use one of the pools in the original post, like Suprnova. They are still up and going. You should do both. Support the pools in the OP who have supported us and are mining PRT. And also point a gpu or ASIC at the multipool.

The pool is running good now, we are finding blocks and word is spreading. The pool will pay out in PRT. The current coins were chosen for a combination of low difficulty and the ability to find blocks while we are small. We will add more coins and a profit switching script etc. in the near future.
I'm going to get some sleep, and then I'll spruce up the front end.
Let's try to get to 100MH/s on the Scrypt port :-)

Scrypt is working now. I'll make the site look nice later today and look into X11. Once we get situated with it we'll figure out our process for payouts and timing.

Also note:
Your username in all cases should be your PRT address. Password can be anything.
Once we have this stabilized with a nice front end, I will add more coins and we can do profit switching in real time and be more optimized.
The way the multipool works is we mine other GPU and ASIC coins, sell them and then buy PRT on the exchanges and pay that out to the miners.
I don't know that X11 support is going to be easy to add, it seemed to really break the system. I'm sure we could figure it out. I have another test server that I can use to do that, but right now let's get Scrypt and SHA working so we can jump on new coin releases and maximize the support for PRT.

The multipool is up but it still has a couple of issues. I had it working well until I tried to enable X11 multiport. Scrypt is presently not working, the stratum pool is throwing back this error: Error: You must provide buffer to hash, N value, and R value Once I figure that out Scrypt will be up. The front end needs some work to make it look nice. Don't go by what shows up in the Getting Started section, it shows direct ports that aren't available - the pool isn't intended for direct mining other than PRT if you want it. SHA mining is working and I am mining on it right now. I only have a few coins up - one for each algorithm right now. I have more wallets configured but not in the pool until it is stabilized. I picked coins based on a low enough difficulty that we can hit blocks while getting started and exchange volume to be able to liquidate them. No coins are stored on the server, they are all sent to my offline wallets for processing later. I need to verify that share and address information is being stored etc. The pool addresses are: Scrypt: stratum+tcp://particle.shockpools.com:3334 SHA256: stratum+tcp://particle.shockpools.com:3333 Particle direct port: stratum+tcp://particle.shockpools.com:3012 Remember: This is BETA. There's still some kinks to be worked out. Scrypt is down/debugging. All Invalid Shares.I need to get some sleep...but I will provide an update once Scrypt is ready. If you want to put some SHA hashpower on it, that would be fine...we can generate some share data that I can use to get the reporting scripts worked out later. |

Moonmoon. Adding X11 to the multipool would be great. I have switched most of my rigs to X11 now that the temperature outside is climbing.
Ok, I will do it. I will work on making the pool front end more shiny and particle specific once we are stable. With this pool no coins are actually stored on the server. |

I have the multipool server up and running and I am testing it now mining with my SHA ASICs. I successfully profit-switched the pool between a couple coins while mining continuously. Just needs some TLC to the dashboard/stats page etc. I need to get some sleep, but we should be good for a beta release of the multipool later tonight.
Right now I have Scrypt and SHA configured. I can add other algorithms if anyone wants them.
