I'm sorry you feel that way. I'd actually encourage you to read through our Newsletters, as that's where we post the majority of the content. We maintain this thread for some basic questions. And regarding adoption, we actually DO have it. You can currently purchase cannabis with tokes as Pisos in Las Vegas. We've processed over $1300 in transactions in the last month and a half. While that number isn't a blockbuster, it's better that most cryptocurrencies can claim, let alone one dedicated to the cannabis industry.

Why are they using tokes? Well, because we are doing the business development necessary to get that integrated. Believe it or not, crypto is not exactly intuitive to implement into a business. It doesn't make sense to a lot of people. And they are intimidated by it. Particularly given the unfortunate cloud that surrounds bitcoin's use in the early days on sites like Silk Road. Many people still think the only people that use it are those that want to purchase illegal things on the internet anonymously. And who is going out there helping change that image? We are. And we're helping them set up and secure wallets. And we're also educating them on the numerous benefits that this technology brings to their business. The result is that they trust us, and they adopt our currency. Because guess what else, when something goes wrong, they have someone they can call direct via cell phone.

And, as we've clarified in newsletters and in slack, it would be redundant for us to build out our own mobile app for the time being. We've refocused that energy on more productive components of the project, namely a merchant gateway and building relationships. Those transactions through Pisos I referred to...they're all processed through the Waves mobile app, which is accessible on both iOS and Android. And the fees, they cost less than a penny per transaction, and blocks process in less than 30 seconds on average. So yea, that functionality is in place. We'll put some focus back on the dispensary locator and strain index when we scale up the team and have more resources to allocate there.

So next time, I'd suggest doing a little research before you post derogatory information erroneously. Just makes you look foolish.

There is a disparity in how the federal government regulates cannabis and what is legal at the state/local level. We are registered and licensed in Nevada to do business, and we strictly do business with entities that are fully licensed to undertake cannabis cultivation, production, and dispensary activities. Further, we have refined our business model and have no direct involvement, and no intention, to act as a licensed cannabis cultivator. We're primarily tackling the payment processing issues the industry is facing, and utilize blockchain to solve that problem.  

Not sure if there was some confusion with that cashier then, because we have full support of management and owners on this. Did you ask to speak to a manager?

Our plan is to execute our dispensary pilot program in a very calculated manner, starting in Nevada. After we have confirmed the system functions as needed and there are no major obstacles for dispensaries, we'll begin expanding into surrounding areas. This will all be coupled with expansion of our MSB licnesing in all areas we support. Long term goals include support for all geographical areas that allow legal sale of cannabis, so other countries around the world are potential targets down the line

It wasn't necessarily artificial. It was largely the result of a predominant trader on twitter making a recommendation to purchase tokes in a particular trading range. Either way, it's nice to see some recognition for the significant progress we've made over the past months.

No 'events' planned, or anything like that. We're ironing out the details of our relationship with Herbology Tours and determining the logistics of token distribution, sale, and redemption. Once this is complete there will be 3-5 dispensaries in town running in our beta program. The TOKES beta program will be accessible to these early adopters until we can be sure that there are no catastrophic bugs in the system. Since we're introducing this technology to people who are largely unfamiliar with it, we want to avoid damaging the image and prospect of it going forward with an unrecoverable mistake.

One challenging part of that equation is the market mechanic. Part of the dilemma is the relatively low current liquidity on Bittrex. It's a bit of a 'chicken and egg' problem, determining what comes first. When we get ready to push for broader adoption beyond our beta program we'll need to ensure there is sufficient liquidity to absorb sales the merchants make when they wish to move back into fiat. They will largely have no interest in bearing the volatility risk of a speculative instrument like TOKES, so most sales will be converted back to a stable asset quite quickly (instantaneously, if desired, once we are fully launched). So it's difficult for us to bring on numerous dispensaries without that liquidity in place. However, people interested in investing in TOKES also want to know that we have some user and dispensary adoption. To help resolve this dilemma, we're undertaking new marketing efforts to help spread the word on TOKES. Things like the new Ambassador program (see above), will help us accomplish that mission. We are also looking to engage with PR and marketing firms to get more people familiar with the project. The focus will initially be in the crypto ecosystem, and we'll expand to the cannabis industry when appropriate. We feel these are prudent expenditures to further our objectives.

I'm not typically one to 'shill' a project, but in light of some of the recent developments over here I wanted to provide a brief introduction to the Tokes Platform. We're also a digital currency project dedicated to the legal cannabis industry, but we are diversified into several other products and services. Namely, we are in the process of completing MSB (money services business) registration to serve as a fiat gateway/cash onramp for industry partners, tangible products (primarily oriented towards CBD initially), our digital token, and advocacy segments for both cannabis and crypto.
