Hi all, sorry for the late response. Let me clarify regarding the FaucetHub situation.

As you probably know, FaucetHub will be discontinuing its API and withdrawals after December 10th, 2019.

So we plan to disable FaucetHub withdrawals on the 6th of December and offer ExpressCrypto withdrawals instead. We considered other micro wallet services as well, but, unfortunately, we can support only one at a time.

Using a third party for micro-transactions is not a perfect solution anyway. Using the Lightning Network looks might seem to be a good solution, but (if I got it right) it requires users to generate invoices for each individual withdrawal, which is problematic. If you know more about it, please let me know.

Thank you!

25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chain.so on: July 10, 2019, 07:36:37 PM
Is this block explorer legit?

The list of recent blocks at https://chain.so/dash is quite different from what I see on other block explorers.

Looks like the dash chain is no longer being maintained by chain.so, as they're 30k blocks behind, but yes they are "legit" - as in they do display the right blockchain data for other blockchains, eg the bitcoin one still works fine, https://chain.so

For dash, use https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/ instead as your main block explorer. I'm pretty sure they're accurate.

Thank you for the hint! Btw, I can see that they are not only behind, but their blocks are also different. E. g. compare https://chain.so/block/DASH/1085907 to https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/block.dws?1085907.htm

TQ very much..

Can i know how can I Maximum my income on setting?

Wht the display rate is 20%?

(display rate: ~20%)

tq for help..

You are very welcome.

"Display rate" is a probability that your ad unit code is present on your page (as estimated by our bot). If you leave your ad unit on your page long enough, it will grow to 100%.

Regarding maximizing your earnings, there is no trivial answer. Your income depends on advertisers' spendings and is affected by uniqueness, quality and volume of your traffic and other factors. Just try to ensure that:
- your ad unit code can be located on the specified URL
- your traffic is unique in the scope of A-ADS, it converts, and advertisers want to buy it

Keeping money at a-ads account is risky too, so we prefer to get rid of them as soon as possible Smiley

If you lower down payout threshold from significant 0.001 BTC to something more reasonable - money will go away even faster from your wallets Smiley

And now I'm serious - bitcoin network transaction fee are very low now - so maybe it's makes a sense to reduce payout threshold?

With the current block size limit on-chain transactions are not good for small amounts. If services like ours start doing them, the fees will go up very quickly. Moreover Bitcoin adoption and the fees are likely to increase anyway.

Micro transactions are not only expensive to send, they are expensive to receive as well. If you receive a lot of microtransactions to your bitcoin address, your wallet will become fragmented and you won't be able to spend the funds without paying the unreasonably high fees.

The only known option for Bitcoin micro-transactions is the Lightning Network, which is still in beta and is not that popular yet.

Thank you so much for your feedback, guys!

Regarding microwallet services... We switched to FaucetHub because we were repeatedly asked for it, and it appeared to be the easiest way to fix the problem. Of course a third party introduces a risk, but it is adequate to the involved amounts. Keeping money at a-ads account is risky too, so we prefer to get rid of them as soon as possible Smiley So we let our clients to decide whether they want to withdraw their funds to a third party or to their bitcoin address directly, and which withdrawal threshold they deem desirable. If / when bitcoin fees become high again, we may indeed be forced to switch to weekly payouts. Hopefully we implement LN support before it happens.

Hi arsenische,

How do I interpret the Estimated Daily Income? Most days I see some readings, but the balance hardly get updated.

Hi, thanks for your question. Perhaps it should be re-worded as "Expected daily income" since it is based on recent earnings which are volatile. But there might be a problem or misunderstanding regarding what's going on with your balance. Please let me know your ad unit id, I'll have a look.

Only chrome can solve recaptcha now - in firefox you can click forever on this fire hydrants with no result Smiley
Dirty market competition from google

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who point this big problem.

Thanks again for your feedback! The solution to this problem has been deployed, we don't display captchas upon ad click any more.

Hopefully advertisers will see a higher conversion and publishers will earn more.

Hello, websites are not being auto categorized anymore, no help from the support in emails. Why does no one who works with a-ads actually look into reported issues. It's pretty obvious how to test it.

Website has been live for over 48 hours, the ad code is located on the site and it's recieving traffic. I've also heard other people complaining about the exact same issue the last few days.

Hi, sorry for the  poor experience, I'll try to help you, please PM me your ad unit id.

ReCaptcha is probably the most popular captcha solution. I use Firefox all the time and never had any problem with it. Nevertheless we are working to fix it.

The traffic at https://a-ads.com/ is so cheap lately.

Not sure what's the reason. Is it a market decline or is there any specific reason why advertisers spend less?

Anyway, it is an excellent opportunity for advertisers to try it out!

Hi, I have a question about the Wanted daily income setting. If I set it at a higher value am I earning less than I should? And if I set it at a lower value, will I always get paid less no matter how much I should be making, since I am telling the system those are the expected earnings?

Thank you

Hi, thanks for your question.

This is a somewhat confusing feature released in 2015, we need to re-work it. The idea behind the feature is that publishers set their expectations about daily income and our system uses this information to  calculate which share of their traffic is "under-monetized" and tries to monetize it via free affiliate ads.

If publisher's traffic is good then a higher value of "wanted income" increases the chances to earn affiliate rewards. As a side affect, it also increases eCPM for paying advertisers because it reduces the amount of traffic available for them.

But advertisers have an option to set the max CPM limit. It is disabled by default and most advertisers don't use it, but some of them do. So if you set a higher "wanted income", you may loose the revenue streams from such advertisers. Also we plan to enable the max CPM limit by default in the near future.

So, answering your question:
- if you set the "wanted income" to a really small value, it won't reduce the income from the paying advertisers (it may even increase it), but it will reduce the chances to earn affiliate rewards.
- if you set it to a high value and your traffic is good, then you have more chances to earn affiliate regards, but you also may loose some of the paying advertisers.
- I would recommend to set the "wanted income" value to a smaller value or leave it blank and let the system decide.

I have the problem everywhere and I'm not the only one...
It is why many sites propose more than just  ReCaptcha.

I am sorry that you have problems with ReCaptcha, we will re-design our sign in / sign up form and hopefully make it easier to pass the checks.

Is there something going on with the rates atm?
I'm seeing both views and clicks counted, unique and non-unique, and earnings are less then 1/10th of what I'm seeing from other networks? (CPM 26 satoshi)
Ok, I'm using the 320x50 banner, it's not the most popular format. But still, I'm comparing the rates with other networks using the same banner size...
I like a-ads.com, I really do and that's why I'm asking. If I didn't like the ad-network I wouldn't bother asking, I'd just move on to an other ad network. As it stands, I can't justify keeping the ads in rotation and I'm forced to swap them out for something that actually pays at least peanuts.
I'll be happy to put it back in as soon as rates turn at least somewhat decent. Not trying to bash anyone here...

Thank you for your feedback! CPM varies greatly from site to site. Please let me know your ad unit id so that I could have a closer look.

Hello,
Impossible to login because re-Captcha does not work for me.

Most of webmasters let the choice among different captcha systems or do not use ReCaptcha.
Will I lose all my little earning by you?
Understand that I can not continue being a publisher if i can not login...

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry for the experience, unfortunately I couldn't reproduce the problem. Could you please clarify the details about your environment?

ReCaptcha is a common security measure which is used by a half of the Internet. Do you have this problem on any site, or only on a-ads.com?
