21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stop the taxing of online sales! on: May 14, 2018, 09:57:19 AM
I don't know the law of your country. But here in Austria it is simple: if a business sells stuff (goods, services whatever) it has to pay tax for it - regardless if it was an online sale, or offline in store.
Depending on how much you make (and what you sold) you fall in to different tax groups.
"Private" people who sell a lot of stuff online (that's probably what you are referring to) in a professional manner - also have to pay tax, if their income surpasses a certain limit. I think it's about 10000 €/year.

BUT, I bet alot of people just don't declare their online sales correctly - hmm.

Personally, I think everyone doing business should pay appropriate taxes - that's how our system works. But it should be fair. If multi corps like google and co can use loopholes to reduce their tax pay, why should small companies and private people pay?

Can't agree more. Society will never accept it as a mean of payment under current level of volatility. It just crosses over all the other advantages, because you lose money for nothing and take risk. That is not for everybody.

I think the whole cryptocurrency bubble has to explode, result in a total loss of money for those speculating with it, cleansing the whole cryptoworld of people just greedy for money.
Then it can start fresh, based on the leftofter technology. Eventually it will prevail over fiat money.
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you kill your own children if God commanded you to? on: May 14, 2018, 09:42:17 AM
So let's try it again ... (post was deleted before, because it was offtopic???) Idk, but here are my two cents:

I would never kill my children, even if there was a god commanding it. It would only proove he/she/it is not god, because no real god, in the sense I understand it, would ever do that, imho.

For those interested in my thoughs about god and why it's not even possible for a god to ask you that, read the original post (I promise it's not offtopic):
Quote
How would he even do that? Thinking of god as aperson he could probably just tell me, nut this makes no sense, as a person cant be a god. He would be limited in many ways.
So lets think about god as a force that is everywhere, like gravitiy.
And voila you'll probably notice god = sum of all natural forces, which equals to god = nature.
What is nature? It s the entirety of our universe, and of all others, assuming there are ones.
So how could those universes, just being a sum of all forces command you to kill your children?

See, told ya! Not more off-topic than talks about jihadists and stuff, a few posts above. If someone reported my post because he/she disagrees, please stop. :-) It's not helping the discussion.

Which means? ....
26  Other / Off-topic / Dino park game - scam? on: May 13, 2018, 05:13:18 PM
Hey guys,
A lot of you probably know the dino park game on instagram.
By collecting diamonds you can getter gold whiche directly translates to bitcoin as follows: 1000 gold = 0,01 btx.

After doing the math it‘s clear you can get 35$ every 52 days if you invest 35$ once. So i wondered wheres the catch.
And I think I found it: for paying out your earnings u need the same amount of payment points as you have in gold ... and guess what, they are not easy to get. So by investing youd easily earn alot of money you could never withdraw.

So I would call it scam?,

Whats your thoughts on this.
27  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tell me a way money can buy you happiness on: May 13, 2018, 03:53:48 PM
Well u have a big hole in your theory.
First just bc u buy everything your child wants doesnt make it happy. It will eventually get spoilt and will be a hug epain in the ass bc it will always demand more and more.
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jesus Christ is comming back h on: May 13, 2018, 12:32:51 PM
Guys, im not claiming to know the truth or anything close to that. But here are my two (euro) cents:

Jesus forgave us for killing him, we dis the worst to him and he still forgave us.
His teachings are solely around this idea! YOU can forgive everyone! He didnt take our sins away, how coukd he even? For most people this is the reason why they act immorrally, arguing that its ok bc christ eill fix it.

Nonsense, bulkshit^5. he showed us by example that there is another way of living, without greed, egoism and hate. We should follow his example but we are free to not follow him.

Yes, the emdtome is coming, everything ends one day, thats just natural. When? Who knows, prob millions of years, maybe just a decade?
At the end we will probably the reason for our own end, bc we are stupid egoistig assholes. Or why dont we help those poor people that have nothing to eat? You, OP, talk about christ. Were u even once im africa or somewhere else, living after what jesus told us, help the poor? I bet not! And even if you were - great btw - try to motivate others to do the same, and not flame about oh everyone of you sinners will die in hell ...

Regarding tthose people who make fun of his return:
Jesus is an idea, he is here as soons as someone lives by his example. He cant return, bc he was never away. And no its not a person coming by train ...
Hes probably not longbearded tall guy with sandales ... is it really that hard to understand this all?
29  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: May 13, 2018, 12:12:10 PM
Bitcoin and other crypto currencies’ worth is currently determined by the user demand and speculation.
The world is based on real currencies. The volatility of the cryptocurrencies os only a problem, because we have to exchange cryptos to real currencies.
Say a car costs 10000 euros, it will mostly likely cost that for years. Your income will be kind of stagnant too. So if you have 10000 today you can buy the car, if you have 10000 in a year you can bye the same car.
(Not including inflation for simplicity)

Base on speculation cryptos have changed their worth every day, probably ranging from 0 euros to a million.
You simply cant know if you can afford that car tomorrow, even if you could today.

The real problem here is that as long as the world is working with euros (and other currencies) cryptos cant be used as a replacement for money. At least not as long as speculation is such a thing.

But imagine of there were just cryptos! Or even just one crypto currency. Then the real world economy would be based on that and exchange rates would not apply.

Ergo the car woukd always cost xxx crypto. There woukd be no way of gaining money by speculation, so the worth would be stable.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small. on: May 13, 2018, 10:48:07 AM
The number of population does not directly relate to the amount of welath created.
You are forgetting about the resources needed to creat actual wealth.
Resources are limited and some soin will be depleted on earth.
What then?

In fact I think we should redistribute wealth to the poorer countries in the long run, so they can get up to speed with the western countries. This will result in less wars, less poverty, more wealth for everyone.

To make this happen though, we have to change the way we think. Egoism and greed habe to be replaced by solidarity and the will to make everyones lives better.
You should read marx!

He foretold the current situations. capitalism will destroy itself and a real communism will replace it. Not the way we had in he ussr or china. But more like in startrek. Gene roddenberry had a very clear and concrete vision on how such a world would look like!
31  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small on: May 12, 2018, 10:07:24 PM
Well I cannot argue with your feelings  Wink
But just because there are trillions of fish in he ocean, doesnt mean theres enought to eat for trillions of people!

You cannot just compare any number with another number. Heck, there are even different infinities, like the amount of all even integer numbers is infinite, but it is less then the amount of all real numbers, which is in fact infinite too!

Aslo just because there is a land where no people live, doesnt mean people could even live there.

Btw, with free speech I meant, the possibility to talk freely about what you think, even if its towars your government. In many countries this is not common and you can get arrested, when you critize the president/leader or whatever.
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small. on: May 12, 2018, 07:23:23 PM
I think you are mixing up a few things. Jusdt because the magnitude of numbers is different doesn‘t mean there’s a problem.
There are various calculations on how many people earth can feed, and we are beyond a certain limit - if every peson would live like in a western country.
It only works because so many people around the globe live in poverty.

But wealth and a number like xxxx worth in money doesnnot mean anything at all. money is virtual. Real wealth, like freedome of speech, food, housing can be expressed in those numbers, but is the actual wealth.
33  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tell me a way money can buy you happiness on: May 10, 2018, 07:43:06 AM
Hi,

Money itself doesn’t bring me happiness, but the things I bought/can buy with it.
I bought a house on the countryside, a car that i can use to travel, and my wife can afford to stay home and watch the children (she also wants this).
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best cryptocurrency next to bitcoin? on: May 09, 2018, 07:50:39 AM
Are you guys all putting your money on one horse? Imho, it's way better to diverse your investments. What if that one currency crashes. It's most likely that the other ones will suffer too, but not that tremendously.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best cryptocurrency next to bitcoin? on: May 05, 2018, 01:04:33 PM
The real question is, what do you mean by "best"?
* Best for money speculation?
* ... savings?
* as replacement for a real currency?
* money laundering?
* ....

What do you want to use the crypto currency for?
Bitcoin is worthless as a currency replacement, as the price is way to unstable. Imagine your have Bitcoints of 500 € worth and next day they are only worth 200 €. But the day before you actually planned to buy something worth 500 €? (Could be the other way round too).

If your intro specualation/trading you can make monkey both with de- and increasing prices - depending on what you are doing.
