21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Curecoin Launch is T minus 5-7 days. The new crypto 3.0 PRE ANN on: May 05, 2014, 02:42:40 PM
Looking forward to launch. Been following this project for awhile now, glad to see it finally ready to go live. And it's good to see an actual new coin that has unique aspects to it vs. everything else. I'll be folding as well as mining.

Question: is curecoin strictly proof of work, or is it proof of work/proof of stake like peercoin?
22  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGRemote - Remote Miner Management from the Developer of CGWatcher on: April 13, 2014, 07:08:02 PM
I started using cgremote with my S1's a couple weeks ago. So far so good, I can manage them all from one interface instead of having to log into each one separately... decent time saver. The software still needs some work (it's beta) and some polishing up, but overall I think it was money well spent.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aphrodite Coin [APH] boost of Cyprus economy - JUST LAUNCHED!!!!!! on: March 19, 2014, 08:53:35 AM
Update:

right now the community is not big enough, therefore the value of Aph cannot get big enough to help the cypriots, because 25 Aph per cypriot cannot help due to a low value. do you have any suggestions to push Aph?

What would you guys think about it? We have the idea that anybody here in the forum who will support aph will get some aph from the premine and the residual amount of aph will be donated for something good for Cyprus. That could push the value because you all get some APH even without mining and trying to support as much as you can.

Now its up to you guys, whats your idea about it. We will collect your ideas and at the end the most ideas will be executed.

We could follow our idea or we try something different - what do you think about it?

It is just an idea to make this coin more successful and help this beautiful country. We will not make any decision without asking the community before! Let us know your thoughts...

All your blueprint does, is 1) ask repeatedly for help on how to market your coin and 2) give away pre-mined coins to people on the forums here who give you ideas and do your job for you. Coins that you initially stated in the OP were exclusively for the people of Cyprus.

Are you completely retarded?

You want ideas... here ya go. Drop this scam and walk away from it. Discontinue any further promotion of this failed coin. Anyone still mining this is either in on the scam with you, or are also just as retarded.

You're welcome. And you can keep your pre-mined coins.

Sad. To the OP - It's one thing to make a  scam/nonsense coin and hope to turn a quick profit... if people are stupid enough to see value in it and buy in, so be it. But to do so with the pretense of helping a people or a nation that truly are in need of assistance is beyond reproach.

from the deadly-silence pool:

DEAR MINERS, POOL HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TILL FURTHER NOTICE, WALLET HAS A MAJOR FLAW WHICH THE COIN DEV NEEDS TO SOLVE FIRST. YOU'RE STILL ABLE TO WITHDRAW YOUR COINS.

any info??  Thanks

Did check it. There is nothing wrong with the wallet. Everything works fine!

Negative. The coins in the server wallet started to dwindle down to nothing over a short amount of time. ArcticWolfie has run other alt-coin pools in the past and still does currently - none of the other pools have ever acted this way.

So, it's one of two things. Either you have a major flaw in your wallet code, or you're intentionally siphoning off coins. Based on this behavior, plus the way you respond to peoples legitimate inquiries, plus the other research others have conducted and posted here, I think you're just another scam coin.

To the rest of you - run this coins wallet at your own risk. I'd recommend taking a look at the source code, see what's in there that may be causing this behavior. I've just downloaded the source myself and will re-post it in case the source 'mysteriously' disappears.

foreach ($country AS $currentCountry)
{
       $coin = new coin($currentCountry);
       $coin->premine();
       $coin->publish();
       $coin->pump();
       $coin->dump();
}
die();

I literally just lol'ed for real...

https://aph.deadly-silence.org pool is where it's at. Pool already commands 1/5th of total APH hashrate so far as of this post.

We have a chat room available at https://www.hardfought.org/phpBB3/chat if you need to grab hold of an admin or just chat about whatever.

To the OP - hope you guys know what you're doing and are legitimately able to help the people of Cyprus.
28  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ASICMiner block erupters cubes for sale on: February 25, 2014, 11:10:49 AM
Right now all four cubes are at $202.50 from bidding. Auction ends in 1.5 days.

Can't take direct BTC for these, as bids have already been made - can't cancel the auction. Thank you to those who pm'ed me with offers.

Selling four ASIC miner block erupter cubes, listed on ebay. Each one is being sold separately.

#4 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/181332809399?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Bidding ends Wednesday night (Feb 26th) at around 6pm EST. Price started at $100 USD per, bids have already been made on all four. Buy it now price is $375 USD.

Honestly, trying to mine for BTC with these is not worth it, but money can certainly be made mining other SHA-256 based coins. Been doing pretty well with Peercoin to date.

In response to your question... gonna let your picture be the answer. Hope your home owners/renters insurance is up to date.
31  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PSU recommendation for ASIC Block Eruptor cube on: January 16, 2014, 12:00:21 AM
I run 4 cubes on a single Corsair AX1200.  Aside from melting the ends of the power cords once a week it works great, averages 155Ghash.

Fail? You gotta be joking, right?
32  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PSU recommendation for ASIC Block Eruptor cube on: January 15, 2014, 11:53:15 PM
Those cubes use about 220W low mode/330W overclocked from the wall. You'd think that the CX500 would be sufficient for one (and it's single 12V rail is @ 38A, which is plenty), but I keep seeing posts about people having issues with the CX series and these cubes.

I've run a single cube off of a TX650 with no issues, and two cubes at the same time off of a TX850M, again no issues. Whatever you decide to get, make sure the PSU has a single 12V rail that's rated for 50A or greater. Good to go.
33  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cube and Blades restarting every 5 minutes. on: January 15, 2014, 11:44:18 PM
How about running just one device (say, the cube) by itself off of your power supply and see how it acts. Or just one of the blades. Whichever, you choose. If it runs steady by itself, then add another device until your issue returns.

I'm betting that your power supply doesnt have enough juice and/or isn't designed correctly to handle everything going at once. What PSU are you using exactly?

Hi Luke-Jr, just curious - will long poll support be added to your next version for asicminer blades/cubes?
Not 3.10, no.

Ok, thank you.

36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: In need of a UPS on: January 15, 2014, 01:11:18 AM
Please tell me that your mining motherboards are set to Power on after failure, and your miner software is set to start with the OS?! (Pretty Please?!) It's usually a simple BIOS setting to change, and the auto-start is not hard to do in Windows or Linux.

Even if the power would go out, your miners would be back hashing within 2 minutes of the power coming back on.

And think about it: Are you really going to mine enough in those few minutes you're down to justify the cost of hundreds of dollars spent on a UPS?

+1

You're better off running your gear through a decent surge protector (I run all my mining systems through a rackmount tripp lite) or even better, some type of line conditioner that keep the voltage to your components steady as well as providing surge/spike protection. Brown outs are much worse than any black out.
37  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Troubleshoot] ASICMINER Cube : HIGH Clock - 1 Card - 1 Bank (8 chips) - x'd on: January 09, 2014, 01:30:34 AM
Well I didn't actually get them up to 43. I'd expect to see about 400W though, based on my Blade numbers.

Sounds about right. I am seeing ~330W per cube while OC'ed to 38 Gh/s.
38  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Troubleshoot] ASICMINER Cube : HIGH Clock - 1 Card - 1 Bank (8 chips) - x'd on: January 09, 2014, 12:39:28 AM

Great write-up by the way. Curious, after doing this modification to OC these to 43 Gh/s, what kind of real-world power draw are you seeing coming from the wall?
39  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Troubleshoot] ASICMINER Cube : HIGH Clock - 1 Card - 1 Bank (8 chips) - x'd on: January 09, 2014, 12:26:33 AM
I have a cube where one of the mini-blades does this also (OOOOOOOOXXXXXXXX). By restarting the cube through the web interface, I can sometimes get that card to display all O's, however one of the chips will read '999' and stay stuck at that value, and the entire cube will only run at about 10-15% efficiency and the hash rate suffers considerably, regardless of clock setting.

Ever seen that behavior before?
40  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cube & PSU question on: January 02, 2014, 11:29:09 AM
I NEVER got my single Cube running properly on a CX750.  It works perfectly on a cheap OCZ 600W, though.  Huh
That's odd, the specs on that PSU are more than enough for a single cube, whereas the specs on the OCZ 600W, you'd be pushing it if you tried to overclock (separate 12V rails @ 25A each). Not the first time I've seen people post about issues with that particular Corsair model though. Maybe you just had a sub-par CX750? Weird.
