Noob question: so does the upcoming fork mean that there will suddenly be an influx in supply of catcoins, meaning dumping and an even lower price?
Or is the price expected to rise because of increased demand from faster confirmations?
any other opinions? After the fork the coin will continue normally like if the difficulty never got this high and will be stronger against multipools jumps. Why an influx in supply? lower difficulty -> more mining -> more coins -> greater supply faster confirmations -> more pumping and dumping? -> profit? |

The 2016 block retarget is an important property of the coin, in that it determines exactly how the coin reacts dynamically. The dynamics of Catcoin are far too slow for the current crypo environment. It stabilized much to slowly and badly overshot the target difficulty established by market value. Retargets are heavily influenced by the amount of flexible hashpower that can be turned on the coin. The slow response works (and worked) for BTC because doubling the net hash in less than one retarget time was never feasible. For CAT one multipool can make a 10x increase, this has to be accounted for on the coin can't survive.....so OP is a fag...? |

Right now nobody seems to be able to predict what's happening to Catcoin. It should have kept dropping, but it's gone back up.
At the very least we can see what happens over the next few days.
Seriously? People read that most of us agreed about forking the coin so they started buying cheap because they saw the future of the coin, that's why it didn't keep dropping, this is not about loving the coin, it's the market. ...starring Leonardo DiCaprio. |

WTF stop buying. I bought 5 BTC from Coinbase yesterday @ $730 each and I wont get them until Wednesday. I was then going to transfer them to Cryptsy and load up on 3's but you assholes aren't going to let me are you.
