so does anyone know what happened to this pool? I had a wallet there and now it seems to be that the domain is not found.

It is still in the OP but seems to be missing in action at this stage.

So far fantastic coin from my perspective.

Going to answer a few questions I saw in the thread all at once so sorry if it's scattered.

To the guy getting stales and/or if you aren't getting coins and you are wallet mining - join a pool.
I got 1.2 mh but started at only 600kh and have 10 coins after mining 26hrs.

Yes Gravity well can be implemented after launch as long as all pools are up to date with new software to avoid forks. Franko did it, RPC didn't do gravity well but they did make changes to the diff along with some other coins I can't think of at the moment.

The main problem with these coins is that the dev's left the diff retarget at some ridiculously long number and once a multipool hits it the coin gets stuck at 100+ diff for weeks after the multi-pool bails. Once that happens all the small miners leave too because it's impossible to find coins at a reasonable rate. I'm more afraid of this than if the diff jumps around slightly, it seems to be working so far.

The links to the win32 cpu miner leads to a download that scans 35/42 at virus total. I had the same problem a few weeks ago so maybe someone can check into it.

still no coins for me after an hour at 550kh. maybe I'm doing it wrong but cgminer is working.

whats funny is the paid invite pool has 236 miners. I wonder how many actually sent a lite coin?

I had a hard time getting going too and a pool would have been nice. I'm theoretically mining with cpu and finally got cgminer with jane patch running.

I had to google wallet cgminer solo mining or something to put all the pieces together.

I thought I had mined scrypt jane with my normal cgminer before so had to run and download new crap. Finally got running at the tale end of diff 3 so I missed the good mining time.

Not knowing how to wallet mine with a gpu or make a conf file is not the fault of coin devs so while it was frustrating I can't blame them.

The fact that they chose to hold the pool kind of smells like they wanted to grab the low diff blocks before the hoards got in. To avoid this kind of accusations dev's should have a pool and test the thing before launch or there will be loads of people trashing the coin because they cant mine.

so far 30 min at 550kh and no coins after 2 hours of getting set up and a day or two of watching for and preparing for launch so at this point not really worth the frustration.

I'm not a math genius or a proper dev but it seems you could solve the problem of diff being higher than block by using a simple if else.

if diff>block = true
     fmod diff%block (do your normal stuff)

else
  fmod block%diff (do the opposite math)
   

I don't know c at all so pardon the pseudo code.

If diff is higher than block it seems most people would stop mining and thus solve the problem but at the same time you want the highest hash possible for network security so encouraging people to stop mining is counterproductive.

Looking at the windows wallet it looks like a setup.exe. I think most people including myself would prefer a zip file.

exe's are just a another layer where a malicious person can do stuff which is why nobody uses them for wallets.

I know it would be suck but if you guys can't get the other ultra coin to rename maybe you should?

trying to create a lot of FUD and introducing trading fear/mentality.

A lot of people don't care if it goes to 300 satoshi or 100 because they aren't trying to get rich next week or scrounge up taco bell money.

I used to day trade futures and equities and thought I knew a lot but generally you just get burned. Diff is high right now so guys that are dumping millions will have trouble mining them back at the same rate.

Halve will kick in and maybe it will bring support or maybe not but early low diff mining is over and it will not be as easy to get a stack as it was. It could still lower in price based on a lot of things but I'm keeping mine and probably so are a lot of people.

If they go to 1 satoshi I will ride them down.
If they go to 1k satoshi I'll be on board and the dumpers won't.

If the tolkien guys come after you and they wont accept some small amount as license just call it precious coin or the precious or something.

I'm something of an anomaly myself so it will be good to have company.

Downloaded what I think is the new wallet but I'm getting 0 connections. I should note that there are two different mega links to the windows wallet in main post.

I added the nodes posted in the earlier note about removing irc but I'm not sure I have everything needed for my conf. Maybe someone could post a full, working conf.

Another thing to watch out for is when they don't mention premine in the ann post til after they launch and people are mining.

also virustotal is your friend.
