Yes that is right that it is too much difficult to continue holding your bitcoin specially if the price  is continuously dumping, but I think that you do not have any other option, except to wait and hold your bitcoin otherwise it can cause a big lost for you.

I think that starting with a small amount of money and gradually increasing our investment in trading is a good strategy, first you need to get experience and only then you can expect to become a good trader. People cannot become a good trader overnight , for that they work day and night.

It is a common thing to do and usually it is working but I would say that you will not achieve any great results with that strategy, because to be successful you need to take risk, and sometimes it would not be obvious and laying on a surface.
All people have the same expectation from the market, they know that they have the only way make money and that is to buy low and sell in high price, for that they study the market regularly and waiting for the best time to enter in to the market.

Mine favourite one is Binance. Kucoin is alo very similiar to Binance as these Chinese exchanges are taking over the market. I will prefer idex over etherdelta as etherdelta is not very user friendly.

Rightly, your point is right, research and correct information always give us profit. It is not necessary that we buy popular coins like bitcoin and etherum, we could earn from other coins if we have a skill to earn from them.
