Artwood, who did the art for the your launch thread?

i7-8700K at 41534/sec says 422 hours per block. Does that seem right for now?

Also is this planned to be CPU only?

Well, I have no problem to send you payment via paypal and 30 euro by bank.
I will no risk that you disappear, and you will not loose any money if I disappear.

I don't understand why do you activate alibaba escrow. It cost less than paypal. Isn't that crazy like Paypal can be.
I use normally since a couple of year when importing from China.
And its offered by ALL the company or people listed on ALibaba.

It does make sense if you plan to ship from China, UNLESS you can't make an invoice.

This sounds like the solution. Whether it's Alibaba or another, escrow would satisfy a lot of people. Or at the very least a way to pay using credit card.

I suspect once they update the store stats with the refunded units from Payal that figure will climb back up.

the stats could very well be made up...if it is a scam...and again looking at such...

Well, here's some food for thought:

This thread is the only place where they promote their site. It has ~7000 views as of now. Dwarf claims to have sold nearly 5000 units. That would be a truly miraculous 50%+ conversion rate. Actually more than that - they made that claim when the thread had barely 6000 views.

Even if they're legit - they're still liars and bigly incompetent, which in the end probably yields a similar result for the buyers as a scam would.

It's pretty obvious a lot of people would be ordering multiple units. So those numbers are a bit irrelevant. I'm not saying any of this has any merit, just saying thread view numbers and units sold have little correlation in this context.

I am happy to sample a unit, I will pay full price once it arrives and does what it says it will do.

This is a win-win right here!
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: May 29, 2018, 04:12:47 AM
I ordered 4 requesting PayPal as payment.
I received an invoice/payment request to a Russian individual's name.
My payment options did NOT include PayPal credit 0% for 6 months on purchases over $500.
This to me was a red flag - seems to be a person-to-person request and not an online purchase - meaning no buyer protection.

I am not comfortable enough to move forward with payment.

How long after your order did you receive the invoice? I ordered much earlier in the day and still haven't received mine... though not sure if I will pay it or not. The whole thing feels weird.

22% premine? block reward 1? PoW over at block 1500 (and it's currently at block 1226)?

Hard no thanks.

I was typing mine while you posted. Looks like we're on the same wavelength for this one.  Wink

does crypto miner show that price before vat?

17% of 4000 = 680 tax  so they want 4680 plus shipping.

the seller has an affordable price if  his price includes vat.

they say they are for european buyers.

Yes that's a good point. I am not sure if it includes VAT. When I did the calculations on their site I tried both UK shipping and USA shipping for comparison sake, but I am not sure if they included VAT in those calculations. If OPs rig includes vat, and they can gain some community trust, then maybe they have something. Though I'm a bit turned off by the "just purchased in Spain" type pop-ups and countdown timers on the site. Don't care for artificially creating demand.

Thx for your feedback,

What's for you the right price ?
For exemple our main competitors (just-mining and mining-avenue) have an average price of 4200 $ for 6 RX580 GPU, us we are at 4500$ for 8 RX580 GPU.

If I wanted to buy a pre-built 8x 580 rig, I could buy one from someone like Octominer (a name I know and trust) for $4000 with shipping.

If I wanted to build it myself (my preference) then it would cost me $2800-3100.

So for me to be intrigued by a new pre-built offering, it would need to fit somewhere between the two. I understand paying a premium for pre-built, but why would I choose yours over an established seller?

Like most of the MN pre-sale coins, this one should probably be avoided. Vague specifics mixed with a paid for MN listing, but no exchanges listed.

$4500 for 8x RX 580 rig? That's very expensive.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any new mineable coin? on: May 10, 2018, 06:59:26 PM
Why bother the processor because of a profit of 40-50 cents a day? If the cooling is bad, it will only cause the socket to overheat on the motherboard.

Because thats $15 a month?  I mine using the i7 on my gpu rig.  money is money.

Sorry I just can't see it like that. i7s and i5s at full load 24/7(especially overclocked) will heat the motherboards VRM.. for what? ~400h/s in CN?

I use several of my CPUs to mine all the time. I use them in my spec mining (in conjunction with my rigs). I try to find projects that are new and look promising. For example, I mined Stellite (XTL) starting at launch. With 1 CPU I was mining what now takes 10x the hash power. Sometimes for new projects I want to just use a few CPUs or one or two smaller rigs to try it out. Totally worth it now. If you view it purely as how much fiat can it bring in right now, then you're missing an opportunity.

I think writing off certain mining assets is a little short sighted... after all if you could go back and use your CPU to mine a handful of BTC, you would, wouldn't you?
