also, can someone explain why my hash rate listed at my pool isnt what's listed in my cgminer status?

Interesting - what pool?  Most take some time to settle down (especially slush), but that's probably not what you're asking about.  The other thing is stales - for some reason I have noticed that some pools have higher reject and stale rates than others.  FWIW, I'm using btcguild for my btc mining and coinex switchpool for my alts and both show comparable to my cgminer.

Doing peercoin at ecoining.com

Showing 160 but cgminer status says 218

i agree its probably PSU.  I'd inspect the data cables too.  Mine has very small cuts in them and this was the culprit after replacing missing caps.

finally got my unit working 100%

has the caps professionally replaced with much better caps than what was there.  had him solder in the cap by the data cable on a nice angle to prevent knocking it off in the future.

also bought new 40 pin cables and i'm using them instead of the rainbow ones they sent.

Now it works great.  very happy especially after getting almost 50% back for the bullshit we had to endure

So what's the answer to if ordering today, when does it ship?

Is that an iirc chat?
I'm not sure if this question is directed to my last post, but to clarify - I was stating my approach to Unobtanium investment.  The Wolong factor hasn't changed my fundamental view of UNO.  The attention from Wolong's interest has raised UNO's profile which is a good thing.  Increased attention should lead to increased demand.  Further reducing UNO supply by keeping 90% of holdings off the market should eventually allow price to increase after sellers are exhausted.

Is 42 coin the only altcoin now valued at 1 or more BTC?
Yes!That's a very important point.
UNO maybe the second one to surpass BTC.Now it's ranked No.5 by price. 42 coin -btc- btb-ltc-uno
UNo maybe the first one to surpass BTC by HASHing power. Let wait and see.

im referring to the animated gif.  he is talking on what chat room?

flashing the software solved my reboot problem.  mines been hashing, though at half speed because its broken, for the last 72 hours no problems.

parts from digikey didnt come in today, so monday hopefully is the day.

also, how come if i remove the broken blade the other blade wont mine by itself?  but if i plug the blade that has all 0's it works fine.

I reboot my units every twelve hours and yes it typically takes about 30 seconds for the to connect to BTCguild.  At first I would restart if it did not connect in 12 seconds but I learned to wait a little longer.  I have one of my five units that takes about 45 seconds to connect.

I have not found a good solution other than reboot all five one after the other and by the time I am back to check the api log on the first one it's connected.  As I work my way one to the next it will be connected, the slow one is the last to check and it is usually connected when I get to it.

Mtnminer

Does anybody has problems with connection? In my miner ethernet is unstable and it can't find wifi networks.

Not sure you are mentioning about the same problem.
But i am having some connexion socket problem (Lan)...
Sometimes it takes 30seconds to start, but sometimes i need to restart it, wait, restart, reboot, ... until it connects to my pool (can take up to 20 minutes for the worst case).

I heard about a bug with the NTP and to input 8.8.8.8 but still didn't help...

I would like to see what is broken. If you were to sell it how much would you want?

I'm bringing it to an engineer tomorrow or Monday to replace the lost caps.  I'll take a picture when I do.

As for a price I haven't thought about it bc I'm hoping I can fix it.

I got my refund through a paypal claim
32  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]BTMine v1 Miner 200GH/s BTC 2.4 on: February 05, 2014, 06:18:04 PM
I got a $1k partial refund from btmine.  hoping replacing the missing caps on the one blade brings it back to life.  figured was better than losing 350 in return shipping.

if i cant fix the blade i'll sell on ebay.  hopefully someone buys that can fix

Do u have a pic of the broken Blade?

i can take some.  why you want it?

I was able to remedy this by flashing the firmware mtnminer posted

I appreciate the response and also fully appreciate the time and effort people, like yourself, put into trying to help others; my thoughts weren't meant to challenge your conclusion. Like yourself, these BTMiners have been quite a journey is human emotions, from suspicion, to desire, to irrational panic buying, to concern, to utter deflation, to hope, to surprise, to realisation and finally to disappointment.

My situation gets stranger still, as one of the slow operating miners has been working at 200Ghs for the whole day, whilst I was at work, and then decides to take itself down to 40Ghs for my return. Maybe it has bitminerphobia   Huh

Also, mtnminer, have tried to connect to the Avalon wiki on http://www.newworldz.net/Chinese_Avalon_Clones but it has been unavailable for the last few days. Not too sure whether you're working on it.

Actually is possible for two of your power supplies to be  weak and on not weak.  If poor quality component were used in the manufacturing of the power supplies they will not be consistent in performance from one to another.  Electronic components have specs to certain tolerances.

You can buy many different resistors with the same value, but different ratings for the acceptable range of variation.  20%, 10% 5% and even 1%  you pay more per piece for the more precision rating.  The same with capacitors many may be rated the same for voltage and other ratings but have different heat tolerances.  If the temp exceeds the specified tolerances the loose efficiency and can cease to function.  This applies to almost every electronic component used in manufacturing a power supply.

As an RF Engineer (radio engineer) I had to be very careful with the specific parts and their tolerances as these parts were used to generate and control frequencies.  We had to stay on frequency and within a very narrow margin of power output.  Every part was exposed to rf and heat.  There is much more involved in how parts react to these factors than I can explain in the response.

It is true you get what you pay for, these factors stated above are why some power supplies are more efficient and more reliable than others.  These Chinese power supplies are very cheaply built and do not use high quality, precision parts and that is why they are flakey and unreliable.

I am sure there are others here who can vouch for what I am saying, if you desire take some time and do some research and you discover what I have said is true.  If your one Chinese power supply is holding up, it means you were lucky and got on that exceeds the average!

Having similar fan problems with 2 of my 3 with factory standard PSU. However as there is one machine running at full speed, I'm amiss to think that the PSU's cannot provide enough power, as the 3rd one wouldn't mine at 200Ghs+.

Even taking the chip frequency down to 300 doesn't cause the fans to start.
Strangest behaviour is that from a cold start, machines and fans work fine. Problems start once they reach working temperature.

What fan speeds are you seeing on your units.  I am getting 2880 rpm on the upgraded power unit running at 1500 mhz.  My other three units with the factory power supplies just can not keep the fan speeds up and I an running them under clocked until my other eight upgrade power supplies arrive.  They are all running fan speeds at about 2280 rpm, if I raise the mhz the fans speeds drop and eventually quit due to the weak factory power supplies!  One is still sitting cold just our of the box, waiting for the power supplies to arrive.

Anyone swap out the fans yet?  Can we just use standard 120mm ones?

These fans move 200+ cfm. Most regular 120mm are under 100. Be careful using new fans.

Also can someone post their cgminer API log? Mtnminer?

Anyone having to reboot their machine daily because of errors?

Also how can I access this remotely

Great idea.

I have started configuring a wiki for these units, that hopefully can be used to compile all the great information that has been contributed here by all.  I hope we can put in a searchable and easily accessible format

I hope to have this wiki up, running and available for use by noon to one eastern time.  I will post the link tomorrow as soon as it is ready.  I would like to invite you all to consider becoming involved.  I believe this will be a great resource for us all and those machines that will surely be coming out of China after the Chinese New Year is over!

Hooked mine up and with the one blade not working at full capacity bc of the broken components it's averaging 95ghs at 1200 frequency. Temps at 7 and 10. It's in my basement which is probably under 45 degrees

Sucks this thing just couldn't be manufactured properly. It's a pretty cool machine
