from bit mine.ch:

Q: Can you hold up with the promised delivery terms? Or will it be like with BFL with 1+ years of continuous delays?

A: Our top priority is accurate project planning in order to be able to fully respect our delivery terms without added details. We understand that continuously shifting delivery terms is very annoying to our customers and as such we plan most details before going into production. We are so confident that we will respect the delivery terms that on all of our Coincraft-based products you are protected by our Customer Protection Plan.

Then, when you were 2 - 3 months late, you spent CCP money on chips?  Maybe you should take this off your faq... Terms with your current customers is clearly not your top priority.  No one is really protected by that if you don't have money to back it up.

Dont throw any money or bitcoins to switzerland. They have not learned anything from the disaster this year. If i take a look at their product descriptions, coindesk 1TH is still announced as being able to hash with 1.5 TH which is simply not true, they keep lying over and over again. Giorgio has not realized that "up to" means the machine is "theoretical able" to reach the 1.5 TH which is in reality due to the bad firmware and bad modules not possible.
At least they deliver a "miner", more than nothing, but less than promised.

Oh sry, I have to leave this thread asap, I realize that I got more and more angry again writing theses lines....

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 24, 2014, 01:51:10 PM
I think it's not a problem of capitalism. The problem is the money system itself likes it's implented in the world.

Where does money come from? Every $ running around is the debt someone has made at some point. Money and debt is essentially the same. To put new money in the system, it's only possible by credits. But each credit has an interest rate. So the sum of all debts incl. interest is always higher than the amount of existing money.

Money is no longer for payment, it's more like a weapon. Economic hitman it's called. Put countries in the debt trap and get all out of the country that has value. This results in destroyed countries and helpless people.

To keep the system running, more and more debts are needed. The wheel turns faster and faster. And now we are at a point where it's obviuosly that the system will not work any longer. Argentina, Cyprus lots more to come. The only advantage the USA has is that they can print there own money. If they cannot do that, USA would be 3rd world country instant.

And here is the chance of bitcoin to make this f**ing world a more fair.

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 20, 2014, 05:59:30 PM
Will there be a price adjustment in the near future?

genesis-mining.com 2 MHs for 360$ = 180$ / 1MHs

zeusminer.com (blizzard in stock) 1,3MHs for 110$ = 84$ / 1MHs

So it seems you have more than double the price of asic manufacturer that has miners in stock. There will apply shipping costs and electricity, but anyway, it seems much cheaper to order a miner than to rent the hashing power.
Even if i calculate all true costs (shipping costs, eletricity, raspberry, VAT, usb hub and so on) it will be cheaper to get a miner at home if I just order 2 blizzards.

Do I have forgotten anything?

Good question. We are constantly watching the market and negotiate with hardware sellers to find the best possible offers. Unfortunately, Zeus miners consume a lot of electricity (and thus produce a lot of heat) and are not well tested for longer periods of time.

What numbers did you use for shipping costs, electricity, rasberry, VAT, and other equipment etc?

You also need to take into account opportunity costs, e.g., delivery time, your own time you need to setup and operate the miner. Miners will crash from time to time and need to be restarted (so you need constant monitoring and in some cases a manual reset is required), i.e., you will by far not reach a 100% uptime. Furthermore, the manufacturer / seller often limits the warranty to one month (bad luck if it breaks after).

If you take all this into account it will be very difficult to beat 14 cent per 1kH/s. For smaller projects I guess that opportunity costs will be the limiting factor. Or the WAF (= woman acceptance factor) will limit your mining project Wink

For Zeus it will very much depend on where you are and how much you pay for electricity.

I have to say sorry.

Doing the math again I have to say it really belongs to e-costs. Contracts from you seems overpriced at first look, but after doing math again, it seems they are ok. It really belongs how much scrypt power you rent or buy and where to host it and to calculate the hidden costs.

And do not forget the WAF factor...

28  Economy / Services / Re: Offering 670Gh/s mining contract on: June 20, 2014, 01:27:58 PM
670 Ghs will generate 0.1752 BTC (103.3$ @ 589.8$/BTC) in one week at current difficulty.

Why will someone pay 140$ to get 103$?

30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How did you solve your miner heat problem? Tell us your creative solutions. on: June 18, 2014, 09:36:08 AM
Best solution for heating issues is much cool air. How to get it in a very cheap way? Here is our soltion that is working great.

Our miners are hosted in a private building (garage), shortly after start running them we realized thet we have a massiv heat problem. Thinking about it, we need something cheap, thats for sure.

So we took a excavator and dig out a 50m long and 5 meter deep shaft where we put a tube on the ground. Next step was to get back all the ground into the long hole.

The entry of that tube is somewhere in the middle of a meadow with a little hat on it to prevent rain and water coming in. The other end leads to the miners and gives them fresh cool air as much as they want. The ground cools the air in an effective way.

So far, we get 7°-8° Celsius air in summer and winter. Works like hell and once it's done there are no more costs for cooling anymore ;-)
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 18, 2014, 09:15:32 AM
While I agree that a creditor has a right to collect, why the f*&k are they doing it now? Are they trying to cause a collapse? We (the US) send billions to other countries all the time to help them out, why are we now hurting the economy of someone that I assume is an ally?

Billions send to other countries that are borrowed from other countries or that are printed from nothing by fed. The US gouvernment will never be able to pay back their debts. Maybe they can, but before they have to inflate the US dollar in a massive way.

If China makes this move the US does on Argentinia, the US gouvernment will be bankrupt instant.

I cannot believe that the US gouvernment is feeded by a PRIVATE institute called FED. It should be clear who has the control of the USA. The private capital and not the people or citizens. Like everywhere in the world ;-)

Just my point of view....
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Economist: U.S. Banks Preparing to Charge Customers For Deposits on: June 12, 2014, 01:07:42 PM
Step by step the financial system based on debts an interests is going to die. It never was sustained and its a mathematical certainity that it cannot last over a long period of time. Each new $ or € can only be brought in the system when someones gets it as debt. No debt, no money. Due to the fact that every debts has its interests, do the math....there is not enough money in the world to pay all debts back. Thats fact.

If FED and EZB are not able to fight the deflation, money systems as we know will collapse. Only the inflation makes nations be able to pay there debts.

It's time for bitcoin to rule the world. Money for the people and not for capital, gouvernments and banks. Times cannot be better for the little coin exploring the world ;-)
33  Bitcoin / Mining support / Rasperry and S1 solo mining on: June 05, 2014, 08:22:27 AM
Hi,

Has anyone made experiences solo mining with an S1 and a rasperry? Can I run a full bitcoin-qt wallet on that device and connect with the S1?

I know chances nearly doesn't exist to find a block, I just want to know if that scenario with a small rasperyy is possible in theory.

Thanks for any hints...

Anyone visited their facility lately and/or having the same plans? For people who have visited their facility more recently, are they still located at this location?

Code:
Centro la Monda 2
6528 Camorino
Switzerland

I have been there in april. They were located at the given adress but changed there rooms inside the building. If I remember correctly, they are now on the first or second floor. It's just a door with a paper written "bitmine" with a pencil on it. Best way is to ask some people in the building where there rooms are currently...
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.414 BTC for 180GH/s on: June 05, 2014, 08:04:51 AM
New price for AntMiner S1: 0.414 btc each one, shipping cost included.

No coupons (+~10%) anymore and rising difficulty (+~13%) today and the price decreased only about 0.005 (-~1%).

Do I have made something wrong? I hoped bitmain would have droped the price much more, but they only adjusted it a little bit.

Yes you didn't factor in the price appreciation. Add that and your formula should equalise.

The btc prive increased about 25%, so the S1 should be 25% cheaper which is not the case.
The coupons are removed, the gave a discount of about 10%, so the bitmain price is in real 10% higher now.

At least the S1 price should drop minimum about 25%-30%.

After that there will be a 13% rise in difficulty, making the machines mine btc 13% less.

I can follow you why the bitmain price seems correct to you...
