21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: March 02, 2020, 08:13:43 AM
Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87

That's the reason everyone in crypto should be as educative to newbies as possible. There are plenty scammers irl fooling people on fiat money. But we can't know it so we think everything is ok.
What is good about crypto in the first place - its pretty clear if something bad happening we all can see it
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bit[Suspicious link removed]d for the economy? on: February 25, 2020, 01:37:22 PM
Bro, Bitcoin meets all the criteria of money that you have mentioned here, but still I don’t think it will be a good idea for the government to fully adopt it. It’s not even possible for them to do such a thing because Bitcoin is decentralized. And being decentralized means that there will be lots of disadvantages, I think more than the advantage we are going to gain from it.

For us to have a better economy we need a better government. What we need is a government that puts their country first and serve it, and set their selfish interests aside. Even Bitcoin should become our currency it still won’t change anything, it’s not a magic coin that will make the whole world rich or something. Making the world a better place is a task for we human beings, not technology.

Partly agree on this position. However I think govs will take an opportunity to adopt crypto by setting up payment methods of crypto with same atms/card terminals AND will make us to pay taxes anyway.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's Cryptocurrency Law - Initiation on: February 18, 2020, 02:09:01 PM
Do not believe the Russian government and all that they say. Their ultimate goal is to regulate the market as much as possible for themselves and their friends oligarchs. If they do something, then just to get some financial gain themselves.
I don't know anything about their inner politics, however I've heard they've not many mines anyway, so not that much of value their words has
24  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 05, 2020, 04:39:27 AM
Great info, thanks OP for collecting and sharing it!
Is there a list of shops accepting lightning payments?
Is there such thing at all?
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Lending Platform ? on: January 30, 2020, 03:19:48 PM
Lending out crypto is no doubt one effective way of getting good returns but i still don't like the fact that exchanges can get hacked anytime, its still very risky to me but my advice is to stick with top exchanges only like binance
Yeah agreed. Moreover it can be "hacked", but by fact you can be scammed and can loose all your money
Since crypto has no legal status it has no official value for country, so you won't be able to protect yourself afterwards
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized, Study Finds on: January 22, 2020, 04:59:50 AM
Lack of electricity can really hinders the cryptocurrency adoption in Venezuela then they physical alternative is still the best option for their financial situation. Only few can really adopt crypto whos capable of maintaining their electricity needs.

That's the saddest thing about crypto adoption in poor countries.
Anyway percentage of btc usage in Venezuela is still pretty high so it is worth it anyway
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How easy is it to start your own crypto exchange? on: January 11, 2020, 03:46:57 PM
Its a very risky to do meetups when the country's law doesn't allow cryptocurrency, I would rather be selling coins thru DEX exchanges than going into such path. You'll never knew the person you intend to meet is a government agent.  Meetups alone is dangerous to do even when crypto is allowed in your country.

If crypto is illegal (or has no legal status at all) that means that cryptocurrencies are worth nothing to govs so you can't sue anyone.
Also at this point crypto field is full of illegal activities (I mean real criminals) and this makes meetups more dangerous.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless Economy: Is Society ready for transformation? on: January 02, 2020, 05:44:35 AM
It doesn't matter how good this sound might have bad influence. On this subject, we have countries far ahead of the rest of the world, but what can be downside of this project or attempt for others. That's what I mean. Those who live in the country where poor connectivity to the internet could stop payments, this is a major issue. Anyone can lose access to cash, it will be on such a large scale in this hacking that if you pay or not, no one will guarantee. So it's really important, probably yes in some cases, it's probably not safe, it's going to be good for everyone, most likely.
every technological development certainly has a bad impact, I think in the future we can fix it slowly. now cash is more needed, but later it could be that cash is no longer relevant for its time. therefore some countries are already aiming at digital currencies

Moreover - every technological development was meet with a lot of scepticism at first and a lot more enjoyment later.
It will be fixed slowly, but surely.

It seems like whole european union feels positive about digital currencies and is going to build first big govs official coin/token. that'd be lovely to see

Shakepay will send $5 in BTC if you're Canadian and will register on their service
Good thing is you can find relatives or friends from Canada to send them Christmas gifts or take profit  Tongue
30  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: December 17, 2019, 07:22:00 AM
I think if all countries convert to cryptocurrencies, it will be quick and easy to pay. But it will be very difficult to spend daily. Because the value of cryptocurrencies is not small. Not everyone is able to use it in the buying and selling movement.

Yeah, kinda agreed. Not to mention the economical struggles if every country will not only include crypto currency but turn from fiat to crypto.
We can only imagine how hard it could be to deal with this.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Top Three Emotions to Check to Succeed! on: November 30, 2019, 03:03:02 PM
greed and confidence is good , fear is bad

we must have confidence and greed and fear but not too much is bad

I mean we must be greedy when markets are doing good , and have fear when markets are worst

Don't get your point really.
You should be coldblooded to have success in trading.
Is not a strict rule, because anyway trading is a lottery and luck in some way.
But to be consistent in making profitable trades you got to be coldbloded.
No greed. No over confidence. No fear.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Voyager app buy ETH with $0 commission fee on: November 28, 2019, 04:43:50 PM
I've tried to use it, but apparently it doesn't work in my state (Texas).
So app doesn't work in the whole US, but in exact states you may not live in.
It is fee-free and has $10 deposit minimum which is relatively low
Imo you can safely try this service.
