More than 600 000 nyancoins within 4 hours?? look forward to and ready to watch ... The only possible way we get to 67000 in 4 hours is if a HUGE multipool jumps in and doesn't leave for quite a while...But if that happens we always run the risk of the multipool bailing quickly before 67000 and we get to wait another 2 days of excruciating 20 minute blocks... According to information on http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency - multipools are on vacation the last day or two .. it's not a big problem (look for example at charts of digibyte and others similar coins) |

The 17 minutes is based mostly on the time when the difficulty was 46. Now it's down to 11, so naturally the blocks are being solved faster. The time per block is a rolling average, so the calculation takes a while to catch up.
Yes, yes, "rolling average" ... "Est Next Difficulty" is calculated properly, and on the basis of the last 180 blocks (as planned, and as declared), but recalculations of difficulty apparently are based on the other basis... |

Guys, something is wrong with the reporting of the network hashrate. Look at how fast the blocks are being solved, it's way faster than 17 minutes. I think we're going to be fine.
Edit: Also if you go to nyanmine, the pool hashrate is larger than the network hash, we'll probably see block 67000 sooner than you think.

And several hours later, the website still says 1 day and 9 hours.  It's impossible to estimate the time very well because the hashrate keeps changing, so the time to solve blocks keeps changing. If KGW had already been implemented, we wouldn't be having this problem. we also can do simple calculations such as ~2000 blocks (till 67000) * 1 (minutes per block, if someone with DEVs still believes in it )))) / 60 (minutes in hour) -------------------------------- ~33 hours =1 day and 9 hrs But ..... if you want to make God laugh - tell him about your DEVs plans ...  |

This is a terrible situation. The important thing is not whether or not miners get coins, the important thing is that the block times do not get too long, that makes transactions difficult. We can't keep swinging like this, it's unstable. KGW is vital for stability of the coin for use as a payment mechanism.

Seems we do not need to find any reasons - now is time when gods of NYAN give us some gifts. That because previously, within ~12 hours, we mined 180 blocks at difficulty~18. Right now - 1 block/10 seconds (~24 times faster)  |

The difficulty retarget adjusts based on the average of the blocks before the last retarget not the hash rate at the time of retarget. That's why it seems weird. cool, may be you can do simple handmade calculations, based on times and blocks information at http://nyancha.in, and would have explained to us how to get difficulty ~7.5 based on information starting with block 61920 till 62099? Instead of writing about any yours "hash rate" ... Nyancha.in doesn't give you the network hash rate for any given time...I can't use that to give you any calculations.
