21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] X15 MaiaCoin | Project Re-start | new wallet | Mandatory Upgrade now!! on: November 26, 2014, 09:39:42 PM
OCminer will be hosting the first pool again.

https://maia.suprnova.cc/

mate, fewer people trade this ,and fewer places to trade .come back to boost

Dont worry I will come back to BoostCoin, but for now i also have a community here to look after too Smiley
with due respect and reverence ,mate, you can not divide your love into 2 shares equally.

it's not up to you to decide what mammix2 can or can't. But I know that he won't abandon BOST either – he proved to be a man of his word

yaay it's a good decision, so I'll be able to mine it again before my winter travel!  Cool
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] X15 MaiaCoin | Project Re-start | new wallet | x15 mining again soon! on: November 17, 2014, 11:45:15 PM
haha so true! I won't even be available in mid-december, so no MAIA mining for me Sad Block 200k definitely looks a bit excessive, I think I'll pass this one.

Interesting, nice to see real progress!

When?

Sorry guys, will have to delay this for a little longer, while i finalise some other business stuff and new features for MaiaCoin.

10 weeks already, you either do or don't. I initially thought of you as one of very few capable devs that didn't run away.... but these eternal delays are very dubious...

Could anyone please tell me the poll results? I can't see it.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] X15 MaiaCoin | The Original x15 PoW/PoS | Coming back soon! on: October 06, 2014, 10:11:40 AM

Ok everyone the yes votes clearly say it all Smiley

So to kick things off, i would like you all to please start suggesting features that you think will get MaiaCoin heading towards the moon again.

PM me or reply here and over the next week or so i'll start to format a new plan...

Suggestions:
- Open mining again for a period
- New PoW Algo
- Encrypted Messaging
- Trusted mixer coding etc...
- New wallet styling

I've reset the voting pool with these options, over the next week please start voting on which feature you would like to see most in MaiaCoin to get things back on track...
Also any new suggestions may get added to the pool.

Thanks

Now we're talking! Great to see you back Smiley

I can't vote yet, my choices:

1) Encrypted Messaging
2) Trusted Mixer Coding
and
3) General security features (like you have for BoostCoin), a wallet interface more friendly and dumbproof!

I don't think that PoW mining or new wallet are important.

Yeah ffs, what are you waiting for mammix2?

We need more votes!  Cheesy

I can't vote (still newbie account) but I like MAIA. Such a shame you stopped working on it because of idiotic trolls which are present in every other altcoin thread.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BQC (bbqcoin) Official websites on: September 16, 2014, 01:34:53 AM
BQC started long before the crazy altcoin boom as a fair project. I'm sure it'll outlive 99% of shitcoins and may even gain some momentum!

When i launched MaiaCoin i got slated for not taking care of BoostCoin, but carried on anyway, i did provide some updates to MaiaCoin to try and help the market price, but that didn't work. No one was really interested in MaiaCoin, all the miners dumped their coins as soon as they could but the coin was never manipulated enough by the traders so eventually died off. Now its been delisted from bittrex,

If the majority of the community want me to continue developing MaiaCoin then i will, but then i will get the BoostCoin community saying why am i not concentrating on BoostCoin....

Oh BTW i havent dumped all the coins, just so you know! Here is a pic of the MaiaCoin wallet just taken

It wouldn't require too much work to revive MaiaCoin, I think you already spent a lot of resources to just give up (it won't make sense). I think you should provide updates and it'll get Maia back on exchange (maybe poloniex at least?). All you need to do is start posting updates!

There's no unreasonable FUD or speculation around MaiaCoin, it just slowed down and stopped trading due to the lack of dev activity. I'm pretty sure it could be brought back the same way  Grin

Yeah i've just seen the prices move up again Cheesy
How about taking care of MaiaCoin as well?

Well, one could virtually copy&paste coded "wallet features" from one coin to the next.  It's not as though the work needs to be done twice.

But if a community is a bunch of ppl standing in a line with their hands out waiting for the one&only "magic dev" to provide "new feature" which will magically "make you free money", well most people will be waiting a LONG time for their free money.

Dude, SERIOUSLY?!?! What kind of free money are you talking about? MaiaCoin was basically abandoned by mammix2 for no reason! He made promises and now has gone AWOL from that thread. I'm not even talking about supporters who lost everything.

This:

- 1% Pre-mine for development, promotional and immediate bounties.
- 5 coins per PoW block to the foundation wallet for long term support.

Instead we have no "development", no "long term support", but the dev still got his 1% premine (effectively 2%, if you include 5 coins from each block)

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 18, 2014, 08:24:45 AM
I've been watching Syscoin from the very beginning (although I didn't invest in the IPO).

I have to say that most of you guys are impatient, quick to judge idiots. People here witnessed only hundreds of identical launches of Bitcoin/Litecoin clones, where devs were only capable of adding 10 lines of code and changing a few variables. SysCoin is one of the first altcoins with a completely new set of features on top of the basic Litecoin code (I mean seriously, even the mining part has been improved). Do you guys realise how complicated is it to even make a coin merge-mineable with everything else? I didn't expect the launch to be smooth, a big software project always will contain a handful of bugs.

But what's wrong with this world is you, people who're constantly trolling here. You didn't even bother to read the [ANN] or check the Syscoin website. Most of you have no idea who's on the dev team (while all info was on the website for weeks). You can't even do simple math. I've seen countless kids in every thread here, the behaviour pattern is 100% the same. What a bunch of clinical idiots this forum became Grin

I don't think you have any idea what's happened here - people who actually did buy this coin (not guys like you who are parachuting in from a high horse with no stake in the issue whatsoever) were misled about the capability of this team and the quality of the work. The weekend-long ordeal of this untested, haphazard launch was far below minimum standards for *any* coin launch. It is one of the worst I've ever seen. People had a right to expect a lot more out of a 1500BTC project. At the very least, this team massively overpromised what they could deliver and misrepresented their capabilities.

They're STILL overpromising: They promised to band aid the wallet within a day, and people are *STILL* reporting problems on this very page. A solid wallet was supposed to be released on the 16th, Saturday. It's Monday, with no end in sight. And no confidence that even when a fix is announced that there wont be other, potentially more serious, hidden problems.

I was mostly referring to random shit like "scambust" or "sainf" are writing. Problem are expected in a launch of any coin of this complexity. Bitcointalk is a known cesspit of the crypto community, so I didn't expect anything but exaggeration and whining kids.

P.S.

Just downloaded the wallet and put this in the .conf file:

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

Everything is working so far, I'm on the correct fork. If people can't even copy/paste the right lines, what would you expect from them?
