So this is the sleeper coin for 2014?  Make me rich dev...  make me rich.

Who is ready for the next Growthcoin Updated with KGW implemented and Random Blocks!

Put your hands up! Smiley

Oh?  more random blocks?  Do explain your evil plan to us oh dev of shiny things....

I want those frames!  How much and where at?  Oh, my new toys arrived today.  Currently hashing away at a total of 5Mhs again, and still have 1 more GPU to install later.... (ran out of desk top space for the test run...)

Oh and the USB risers, worth every penny!  Sooo much better than those former IDE converted to PCI cables...

www.geldfabriek.nu SimpleXX for €95 + postage. Just do not let him build them, 50-50 chance of damaging the parcel in transit due to loads of empty space, just ask for flatpack and assemble ***WARNING*** the plastic joints he uses wedge in real tight, and not hard to put wrong pipe in wrong place .. and then can't get them out. Use grease/olive oil/washing up liquid on each socket.

Really have to look into USB risers, these IDE cables are a pain in the arse.

However, my business partner was a mechanic and is working on prototype 2 chassis, better than the Dutchman's. And will be coloured to match the GPUs  Wink or by personal choice. Wider too for better cooling. 35cm risers from geldfabriek on the outer cards with shorter ones for inner for best aesthetics as well as airflow. All going on sale within weeks.

Want to build a beautiful rig, one which a rich geek could spend £3500 and display in his living room.

ps: free 25 CASH still on for anyone who sends a PM with their address. Got even more coins now.

Dang, $130 usd and another $60 for shipping....  I'll see what I can create on my own first.  You must post pics of what you build.

Oh, back to mining on the pool as a test run right now.  CASH is getting profitable again due to lower diff and higher block rewards.  Should start to see it move up a bit on exchanges soon too...

Kinda quiet around here.  Solo on this since about 9AM.  Thanks for the coins...  Could really use a few more nodes however, I've only got 2-3 connections.

Price is down quite a bit now, and Dev has gone on silent mode again....  But whatever, I'm still supporting Cash even without half my rigs running.  PSU failure and GPU burnouts....  But good news is, I've got 4 280X's coming this week, 4 usb risers and a boat load of PSUs!  Love tax returns...

One side note, solo mining this was a dumb idea of mine.  Getting POS on 20 coins at a time...   Roll Eyes boring.  But in the next few days my buys from the exchanges should mature...  Grin

Come on Alt, just gotta show em a little love, they've worked really hard for you dude, have you thanked them lately(explicit lyrics)? Given them some nice healthy solar electric?
They're not slaves ya know, you don't wanna use force to get from them, use love, rainbows and unicoins!

They're not slaves, they're miners....  I'm from coal country....  They better get back to work or I'm takin away the coffee!

Heck with solar...  I'm thinkin Wind and hydro....  Solar won't make enough KW for what I have planned in the future....

But, those little 6950 were a heck of a gaming rig back in the day...  Shocking that they are still kicking.  But seriously missing the hash from the 280x's and 290x's...

Oh, any experience with the USB style risers?  Mine are 16x - 16x risers, but I want to try the USB ones since they go 1x to 16.  My 2 MB's could handle 7 of them instead of the 4.  (I'd have to switch to linux)

I'm guessing that every time a transaction hits 30 days we get stake...  I've had like 4 or 5  hit today.  Total over 8 coins in one day so far...

@ Varvarin, any idea cost range?  I've had 2 of my 3 rigs die this week.  Trying to get them consolidated into 1 working rig, but so far all I've got running are 3 6950's at a whopping 1.2 M.  If you really can get those out at 5M, at a decent price, I'll gladly pay to ship one to the US.

I found a few blocks already and they confirmed, but i still see Unconfirmed on all the coins i mined at http://snapcoinpool.com should i keep mining or move to another pool? and also its been like 40 minutes and no block found yet Huh

You don't need to keep mining for them to confirm...

But lobo...  What are you running?  10Mhs...  I'm slowly building up to that but my word, gpu's are getting way overpriced now...

hi i must ask i have mined coins and i moved them to exchange didnt sold them yet will i get the pos reward if i leave them on exchange? or when i move them back to my wallet? or i wont receive any because i send them ?
No pos reward if the coins are not in your local wallet.  However, POS expires on coins in the wallet longer than 90 days, so, after you've POS'd for 90 days, move the old coins to and exchange or another wallet then move them back to reset...

i didn't know this,... 90 days and coins start to no longer generate pos?
I believe that's how POS works....  If someone else knows better please let me know.  But you can reset that timer by transferring coins out to another wallet, then back in.  Can be right away.

Went back a few pages and found Tux's original post about it:

Quote from: Google Doc
Proof-of-Stake [POS]:
What is Staking:
Every 30 days coins held in an open & unlocked wallet are eligible for additional coins (think of it as interest on deposits). The quantity of coins minted from POS depends on the number of coins held (for 30 days) and POS difficulty.

What will you can expect to get from Staking:
Initial POS will produce an estimated 10% additional coins per year with payouts every 30 days that coins remain in a wallet without being transmitted anywhere. This will be reduced to 1% when POS fully takes over from POW. Coins of mixed maturity will earn their interest when they reach 30 days, so a miner for example receiving coins daily could expect daily payouts from staking if the coins remaining in their wallet.

How to maximise earning potential:
Make sure when sending coins that you choose the right coins to send. There's a feature in the wallet (from v1.1) that allows the selection of coins by age or receiving address (Settings -> Options -> Display -> Display coin control features (experts only!)).

The priority column could do with some refinement, needs a ‘low’ priority and should take longer to reach ‘medium-high, high and highest’

Inflation and Deflation:
The transaction fees from sending coins are destroyed with CASH rather than being added to the block for miners to aquire, this is intended to offset the interest from staking and is the reason why the total coin cap is unknown. If everyone hoards all the coins then none will be destroyed in transactions fees but the supply will continue to grow through interest, likewise, if the coins are frequently used in transactions then they won’t be earning interest and will cause the supply the be reduced due to transaction fees.
If CASH is frequently transmitted, it will take many years to reach ~40million coins.
If CASH is heavily hoarded, it will take significantly less time to reach ~40million coins.

The side-effect of this decision is that instead of transaction fees only going to miners (who use huge amounts of electricity), EVERYONE who possesses CASH has the chance to gain.

Network security effects of Proof-of-Stake:
As is widely (and often inaccurately) reported there’s a potential security flaw from pure POW coins where a single entity could, in theory manipulate the blockchain for a coin and cause a wide range of problems. This is addressed in CASH by having holders of the coins secure the network as a percentage of their ‘stake’ in the currency. To compromise CASH, an attacker would have to own >51% of all coins AND >51% of the hashing power making an attack a very expensive proposition as they’d likely have to try to purchase coins from owners who don’t intend to exchange their stake.

THIS SECTION HAS BEEN DISPUTED AND IS CURRENTLY SET TO BE REMOVED.
POS from exchanges:
The decision as to who receives POS coins when held in an exchange’s wallet is entirely up to the individual exchange. There have been reports of exchanges stating that POS coins will go to the owner of the coins, which exchange this was and validity of this information is currently unknown.

Exchanges that give the owner of the coins the stake:
List of confirmed exchanges……..

Ignore that last part, as it was confirmed by an exchange mod that no POS rewards for any coins in the exchange.

Currently solo on this since this AM.  DEV, any news about an exchange?  Looks kinda quiet in here.
Several exchanges have been contacted. To show your support for SnapCoin, either recommend SNP to an exchange or vote at the following links!
https://www.mintpal.com/voting
http://www.allcrypt.com/beta/voting.php
MintPal allows unregistered guests 3 votes per hour, AllCrypt allows 10 votes per day.

Voted and also dropped an email to Poloniex as well.  It's a little exchange I've just started using for some of these newer coins.
