21  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you describe the situations of the crypto market today? on: January 27, 2019, 09:44:40 PM
A mixture of get rich quickers and big VCs and individuals.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain for Babies? on: January 17, 2019, 11:36:42 PM
Not sure I support teaching kids about blockchain at that young of an age but certainly at high school level.
23  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance freezes stolen Cryptopia funds on: January 17, 2019, 11:31:58 PM
For an exchange, binance is proving to be a very secure option for security.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updating advice? on: January 17, 2019, 11:28:49 PM
You didn't mention wallets much. I would suggest a hardware wallet or software offline wallet like Exodus.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority will lose money and minds on: January 17, 2019, 11:20:08 PM
You make a good case for why people choose Alts instead of BTC. Alts have more upside potential.
26  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 17, 2019, 11:14:36 PM
I noticed this a while back when my ANON wasn't getting withdrawn. Centralised exchanges present a big problem for investor confidence
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Adoption Is Pushing Up Salaries for Related Jobs on: January 16, 2019, 12:36:02 AM
Market forces dealing with a shortage of economists with technical information.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 15, 2019, 11:57:09 PM
I think there are a number of other base metals/products that one can invest in to store wealth
29  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: January 15, 2019, 11:54:19 PM
Fiat currencies are not necessary but government support is at this stage. Unfortunately.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: what should consider before investing in a coin? on: January 15, 2019, 11:52:16 PM
From my experience it would have to be communication with the community. If the team is quick to talk to the community about problems (which ofc every coin will come into due to FUD etc) then they'll weather the storm.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: USD will crash before BTC on: January 15, 2019, 11:50:06 PM
With the USD as the global base currency i'd ask you this one question. Which currency will take it place? Can one truly say it's BTC?
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Over? on: January 15, 2019, 11:47:35 PM
Intrinsic value is a false statement. Something can have a utility but not an intrinsic value.
33  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK and Russia on: December 17, 2018, 05:46:37 PM
Russia is not a military power. They have one aircraft carrier that has to travel with a tug boat in case it breaksdown
34  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US-China Trade War Update! on: December 17, 2018, 05:45:10 PM

Thank You President Trump.

Seconded
35  Other / Politics & Society / Re: overpopulation. are we being cheated?! on: December 17, 2018, 05:43:49 PM
So what are you saying? who is lying to us? the UN? The IMF?

And more importantly why would they?
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think countries should leave the EU? on: December 17, 2018, 04:54:25 PM
Legislation can only be proposed by the unelected commission. The only elected institutions are the council of Europe and the parliament and all they ever do is rubber stamp and approve/disapprove (respectively) bills.

Again, be careful

If that point of view was popular, guess what the European commission would do? Give everyone the vote. They know how to manipulate public opinion, and it would only make the commission more legitimate, not less. And it would also be one more step on the road to changing the EU into the United States of Europe.

If they did that they would sow their own destruction. Euroscepticism is rising in the EU. If given votes on the EU the Italians and french amongst others would leave.
37  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit status on: December 17, 2018, 12:58:58 PM
I'm from the UK and first off; no one has any respect for the prime minister. They think she's a capitulous weak coward quisling who's so obsessed with getting a deal that she's putting the interests of the country at the back of the queue. We have such a great future ahead of us if only we wanted it.
38  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: December 17, 2018, 12:56:33 PM
It also worth noting how the murder rate would increase during the time period where guns were banned. Also worth noting that banning guns doesn't get rid of guns. Just the guns that law abiding citizens hold.
39  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would a country ever support a decentralized cryptocurrency? on: December 17, 2018, 12:53:53 PM
Don't think they would ever support it because it gives up to much control. In a situation where they could they would need to offer tax incentives to switch people over.
40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin is a criminal on: December 17, 2018, 12:51:47 PM
Putin isn't going to ever face trial. He's weasled his way from position A to position B in the Russian government. If he can survive 20 years in that system he can survive external pressure.
