21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 10:25:50 PM
How to Kill a Coin

1. Launch Coin
2. Whoops!  3 billion more secret coins.

The problem is also with these f'ing exchanges.  They'll let any piece of shit on if enough people pay for votes.  Have some damn respect for yourselves.

And this is the reason why Asiacoin should be dead.  If you're running an exchange there is no way in hell that you let a coin back on.  What does this say about your standards?

You're not getting on the exchange unless your coin is AT LEAST 6 months old (should be longer probably).  I don't give a shit if your coin is only mined for 2 weeks before PoS.  If you haven't been around a while they we don't want you.
You can get on earlier if you provide some verifiable information (that's the only way you can build up trust).  Maybe they do this already, but all I hear is "how do we find out who this guy is?".  I don't give a shit if this goes against the anonymity of crypto.  Your coin can either be around for a year with consistent development or we know where you live.
You're not getting on the exchange if you are a 100% premine coin unless you've been around for a year or two.
You're getting kicked the fuck out of the exchange for at least 6 months if your market cap is below 250k. We'll put you back on if you're still around and if you go below 250k again get out of our exchange you shit coin.
Add a hundred more requirements and you may have something.

I can't tell you how many of your fucking bozos were on here stating... "perfect launch, perfect coin...".  I don't give a shit if Jesus cracks the fucking sky open and blesses every damn coin in your wallet.  If you don't meet our requirements then get the fuck off my exchange.

If you want to be less stringent in how you put coins on your exchange then you'll be known as a shit exchange just like the pink sheets is a shit exchange for shit companies trying to get back on one of the major exchanges.

Same shit is going to be happening for a long as long as these exchange keep the pay to play voting system.  I'd pay some higher fees if we could get rid of that bullshit and get an exchange with some integrity.

The exchanges should be the clearing house for these coins coming to market.  The voting system keeps the unpopular coins off the market, but it does nothing to get rid of the scam coins.  Scammers are looking for easy payouts and if you make the requirements more difficult you'll be able to weed out the people who are in this for a quick buck.

Maybe these aren't all the answers, but something needs to be done to improve on the integrity of the coins which get on this exchanges.

Disclaimer:  I owned 40k Asiacoin at one point, but only had about 250 when this went down.  It could have been worse for me and I'm sorry for those of you who lost money.

it would probably be best not to as nobody reads your posts the first time round

Who made you the judge of who likes what?

I don't profess to be any judge. Take a look at Spoetnik's previous (or forthcoming) posts and ask yourself this: who on earth could be bothered to read his 'walls' of nonsensical bullshit? It's long, it's boring, it's hurtful/hateful and it rarely makes sense. That guy is a nasty piece of work and a bully... why would anybody want to read that crap?

BCX is another example of a big bully but at least his posts are entertaining at times.

You hit the nail on the head there.  These pieces of garbage are #1 and #2 when it comes to shitposting.

The answer of Cryptorush to me.

The money you sent to us was sent on a forked chain. Please remove your active order from the system. Update your client. and use PyWallet to fix the broken transaction if nessessary.

Forked chain??? Chain was never forked...

YOU'VE JUST BEEN CRYPTORUSHED!!!
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 11, 2014, 01:20:49 AM

How secure are you? wheres the company info page? are you a legal entity?

All I see is a site that was thrown up a while back and and puts liability onto the users.

There is no form of protection for a user when you have 0 company info listed, you could gox people easy you could have what happened to poloniex. Show your accountability and maybe I would trade over there otherwise  your site is just a giant gamble, and while I am sure seedy people may use it based on the lack on info needed to to transfer USD.

So you may have it but I think you just cater to money launders.

We have many traders trading lots of coins. We are here to stay becase we earn much more on trading fee - not by stealing Your funds.

You've been around since January and you've already had 310 BTC "stolen" from your exchange.  Transparency is all people are asking for which you are unwilling to provide.  If anyone puts any coins on your exchange they are asking for trouble.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485029.0

Thanks for the free coins cryptorush!   Kiss
I'm probably very lucky because I got 2 times free Zeitcoin.

The first time I threw their coins for tsryptorush where that 1.1 million and 2.6 million received in return Zeitcoin

The second time was the next day decided to sell a couple of thousand Zeitcoin took clicked sell and look Exchange glitch I stepped back a couple of minutes to refresh the page and was shocked at the bill again 2.6 million Zeitcoin

I do not even know what to say what that straight Mysticism
Well the fact that they tried to blame the devs is what gets me. If someone besides the exchange had legit proof that I somehow ended up with their coins that were never returned I would throw them a bone, but the idea that I should give the coins back to cryptorush makes me laugh.

Alright I was going to keep my mouth shut and let the zeitcoin devs say it themselves, but this has gone on long enough.  The fact that they wiped all proof from github really rubs me the wrong way. It WAS their fault, and I'm the one who told cryptorush about the problem.  Just ask DeviantTwo. I already explained it once in the thread here, but I'll explain it here one last time for good.  A few days before cryptorush shut down zeitcoin, there was a commit made to the github repository.  You can't see it now, because as he said- the zeitcoin devs went through and erased all proof of their fuck-up.  The repository only shows one commit for Zeitcoin now, but the title should tell you something: Commit - TransactionFee fixed

What they did a few days ago was to lower the limits on transaction fees for sending transactions.  Now this sounds like a good thing, and it is- but ONLY if everyone switches to this new fee structure at once.  Since this change was not officially annouced, anyone who downloaded this modified code was sending out transactions with fees that were so low that no one running the old code would accept them.  This is why cryptorush could receive deposits, but none of their withdrawals were going out.  This also means it's a MASSIVE clusterfuck to unwind the problem.  It means re-submitting all those transactions, while making sure none of them actually committed (which it seems was the case), meaning some people got double paid.

Now you might feel like you're within your rights to keep the coins you got double paid, and sure I guess you are... that's the risk of cryptocurrencies.  But if you want to keep exchanges like cryptorush in existence, then don't punish them when the devs for a coin are the ones who caused the issue to begin with.

I think the dev(s) were at fault as well, however, what did cryptorush expect?  They're slamming as many coins onto their exchange as possible a day or two after launch.  It is obvious they don't test anything (that's the way it is with 99% of the exchanges by the way) and people are wondering why they are losing coins?  The github stuff should not have been removed, but did any of the other exchanges have these issues?  How come Craptsy didn't seem to have issue?  Maybe the process should have been to halt trading while you installed a severe update (or whatever it was called) and test it rather than letting it run for 24-hours and then saying "hurr durr we better halt everyone".  I think they trust these developers a little too much to give them flawless code, it's not going to happen for these smaller coins with one or two developers.  Mistakes were made on both sides.  Only move your money to an exchange when you are actually going to trade.  Don't keep it there any longer!

Cryptorush has only been around since January 13th of this year so again what did you expect?  BTW, I have 2 million ZEIT and still mining so I'm long on the coin just not this exchange.

So many angry posts.  You'd think those that really felt it were a 'shitcoin' wouldn't have to repeat themselves every page.  The delay is a concern, but I don't see the need to whine every other post that isn't your own.

That said, I'm very happy I didn't go the lazy route and went with procedure 1...lol.

Not shitcoin, but a shitlaunch.  They left a heavy "Cleveland Steamer" on everyone.

"We have disabled deposits & withdraws again on Zeitcoin temporarily while we perform audits on account balances."

You've just been crypto rushed!
