21  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitmain AntMiner U1 Tips & Tricks on: January 11, 2014, 02:16:43 AM
I have 4 U1's but I consistently have problems getting them to hash even at a consistent 1.6 Gh/s.  I've tried OC'ing but the hash rate just drops to around 1 Gh/s or below.  Do I need to cool them or just a better hub?  I've got one attached to my laptop's USB port and 3 on a Belkin 7 port, powered hub.

I'm using the newer BFG Miner posted on this thread.

Any help is appreciated.

What's the longest block we've had? This has to be up there.

work wise this was the longest.

cdf wise we did a 99.99

time wise  back in the day 35 maybe 36 hours in 2011 when the pool was much smaller. but I read that in a 2012 post when we had a long block someone wrote we had a 1.5 day block.

I am still not going to use cex.io  I may split my hash half here and half with btc guild.

That's what I already do.  That way, psychologically, it's not too bad when BitMinter goes through bad runs like this and I can still see some numbers go up. Smiley

I've been following the developments of the new version of BFG Miner and they've released a beta build that supports the U1's and BE's.

I'm on Windows but am using the modified BFG Miner with both U1's and BE's on the same hub just fine.  There are posts that you may find helpful there at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=168174.1940

Hope this helps.

New person here.  It's an interesting system, I thought there might be some delay in granting posting privileges.  Good to know.
