i have bitcoins right now in order to make money in the future
The price reflects the average market participant's opinion about whether bitcoin will succeed or fail. Right now a lot more people believe it is going to fail, who used to believe it would succeed. To some extent this could be a self fulfilling prophecy, but I think that the fact that transactions have been steadily growing over the past year indicates that bitcoin is still doing fine.

Read the news about Ethereum and DAO hack, all trade has stoped, plus network is being spammed to prevent further thefts.

What news - can you enlighten those of us who don't have any Ether or DAO?

http://www.coindesk.com/dao-attacked-code-issue-leads-60-million-ether-theft/

Thanks. How can open-source code get over-written like that? Was there no peer review to make it robust? I thought the whole point of making code open source was that everyone could look at it and find flaws?

Yes, saw somewhere that that particular vulnerability has been described in 2015, I guess people didn't pay it enough attention.

You can read everything about this hack and mitigation here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum
Is that true ? it is unfortunate. whereas the ETH is one coin was very good, but I guess after this, the price will decline. I think, it really was a great hacker, because he can steal eth very much
ETH seems so good now. Probably it was temporary problem, nothing to worry about.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over $700 and $11,000,000,000 market cap. on: June 13, 2016, 01:08:07 PM
This is Really surprising Price Increase.. I just checked bitcoin rate after two days and found that 130$ more Increased in bitcoin. 2 days ago bitcoin price was only 570$.
Increase 130$ in only two days is Simply Awesome, I can't say what will happen at the time of halving if bitcoin price increase that much constantly before the halving.
now I can feel that we may reach 2000$ possibly..
Yes, really surprising. This is the highest bitcoin's price has been in around two years - it last broke the $700 mark back in February 2014, when it was trending downwards following all-time highs of more than $1,100. Buy it now and wait. Grin
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 09, 2016, 10:55:35 AM
The thing I hate about trying to quit gambling is you can't just quit like quitting a job, it's over it's done . You have to quit every day and you never really know if you've quit or not, the time seems to go by so slowly and you just want it speed up so you can put the mistakes further in the past & gain confidence of more time passed without gambling.

Zelda Ocarina of Time. There's better games nowadays for sure, but it's different when you can just google what to do next. Or some friend will tell you. Or there's only one path you can take. I remember being lost in the water temple for weeks, giving up and coming back months later. I don't remember a time when I've felt more triumphant when I finally got through.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: May 25, 2016, 06:32:12 AM
I think the number of active forum members here is probably as good an indicator of bitcoin's popularity as the number of addresses and other methods suggested.
I guess there must be a Chinese Bitcointalk equivalent, so add that number in too.  It would be a massive underestimation, but I fear that most other numbers would be overestimations.

2 million users/holders would be my ball park guess.

There has been some million transactions on the blockchain in all of history, we know that many people do hundreds or even thousands of transactions and some websites will do hundreds of transactions per day, so it seems fairly impossible that there is even 2 million users. Maybe a little less.

37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 06, 2016, 02:05:09 AM
Liverpool has no choice but to win in the second leg. With the home advantage, I think they can do it and so my bet is on Liverpool ML @ 1.735 today.

That is a nice dominated game. Liverpool has 24 goal attempts with 12 on target in the game, while Villarreal has only 6 attempts with 2 on target.

Well played Liverpool, 3 goals on 2nd leg versus Villarreal. That's make Liverpool win and qualify to the final versus Sevilla. 1 more step to be champion of Europe League.

Yes Liverpool will be against Sevilla in the final long before people have predicted these two teams will go to the final
My hunch says Liverpool became champions this year we will see May 18

I would love to see Liverpool winning the cup and kick out the fourth placed Man City from next seasons UCL, just for the dire performance they displayed against Real... Sadly the rule changed
