Arrrrrg Avast Mateys, tis Capn Bean here! Very excited about uPlexa and wanted to share a couple of reasons why i am here and not mining other coins.
1. I am a hobby CPU miner and Uplexa's algo cn-extremelite is cool as! I believe it aims to make mining accessible to a huge range of hardware even IOT devices, do yourself a favor and get out that old craptop and hash it up some, if your not careful you will get excited like me and setup xmrigCC and get your whole collection of slightly dated and mismatched crapbox hardware mining..... yes i even found a intel i3-2120 at the rubbish dump and its on the hash ha ha ha.
2. Kinda building off point one, its actually one of the most profitable CPU coins to mine with low range cpu hardware atm! While i am in it because i believe in the project who doesnt love seeing more hashes that actually translate real world to getting more for your watts then just mining xmr on your CPU .

Hey fellas and fellettes? Im planning to do a whole bunch of videos for uPlexa when the utility nodes drop as i have a couple million stashed and i want to make videos for how to set up a node on a virtual host plus the upcoming free vpn plus intro to uplexa and mining etc. What format would work better for you guys? short instructional videos or very thoroughly guided step by step type videos?

This is so cool!! I was looking for an actual mining coin to use my excess phones. There is MIB coin but the mining only works on two of my phones. There are other mining coins but not real mining just proof of time so now I can utilize my phones with proper mining. Are there plans to have the coin hit the market and what can I do with the coin right now? Is it just for accepting pay at the moment? I will keep mining this coin with a ferw phones and keep going. No reason to top really. ^^
Don't the GPU miners defeat the purpose of mobile mining?
My phone does 6 KH and the GPU does 1.5KH so my phone is better then with a gpu?
It says I only make $0.03 per day mining at 6KH is this right? Where are they getting the price from?
Hey Mike! The price is relatively low right now, however the idea is to be able to provide enough profits to pay off the costs in electricity to mine on a specific IoT device. Currently, the coin's major use case is anonymous payments. However, our Steadfast Storm release scheduled for January 1st, 2020 will enable UNApps via Utility Nodes (decentralized private applications via our version of Masternodes). Our first major UNApp we have planned is our decentralized VPN service, in which can be used for free. Or, you may use a higher priority bandwidth tier at a specific cost per Mb (the costs will be in-conjunction with our TX fee structure, thus will be very low). You will also be able to stake your UPX with a Utility Node (in which will act as exit relays on our anonymity network). Staking will provide dividends of 20% of all block rewards (divided by however many utility nodes there are). You may read more about Steadfast Storm here. |

The uPlexa project is starting its first official MegaBounty in order to reward its supporters with uPlexa coins (UPX). This bounty will run until April 9th, 2019. Bounties will be paid out within 30 days after the first MegaBounty campaign ends. This is a MegaBounty, rewards are high, and quality must be high, too!

There was mention a few weeks ago about a store accepting UPX as a payment method. Is this still something that is on the cards?
Yes, from what I know they're still looking to accept UPX. Not sure why they have not yet, will ping them again! Following this from the beginning; the future of uPlexa will be big: with the new exchange coming in May it will get more volume and attention, price can (almost) only go higher. And the well-thought structure with redundant PoW-solutions against ASICS makes it a project you need to know as an investor. Communication through discord (and now Telegram) is crisp and honest. It gives a lot of confidence the team has their sh*t together. Start mining if you don't and keep doing it, you will be rewarded.
Question to the team: what are the intentions regarding getting other partners involved. Cryptoloot was a big one, any others around the corner? IoT-companies must surely like the idea behind it...
We would certainly like to partner up with some more projects & companies. We will likely start a bounty for people who're able to bring partnerships to us. |

So that means new fork, I suppose... Why this change? Have you detected some suspicious hashing activity on the network that requires this change? Yes, new PoW will result in hardfork away from the old algorithm. This is not an emergency hardfork. We do not believe there to be ASICs on our network. However, we now have two additional UPX PoW variants, and decided we will launch our next. Our next variant will once again help bring IoT mining to a whole new level. We will always have one PoW at our sides in-case of the need for an emergency hardfork, too. Hi guys! This is all very exciting.
I've heard a couple of people talking about possibly looking at masternodes in the future.
Is this something that's being considered by the core team?
I heard the same about PoS, I believe they are considering both I for one can't wait for that to start! We will be implementing utility nodes rather than master nodes. These will help enable instant transactions, DApps, and the possibility of our own hidden p2p internet layer (much like TOR). I agree with the comment earlier, the title of this thread should be changed to "Anonymous Blockchain Powered by IoT" - the 'Browser' part implies that it's a browser-only miner.
