21  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think the market is down right now? on: September 18, 2018, 03:33:58 PM
The market is slightly up now, but anyway it is changing constantly and that is not a surprise.
Like a half an hour ago ETH cost 197$ and now it's traded for 213$6 according to Coin360.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is a trending topic all over the world? on: July 31, 2018, 04:02:02 PM
Despite cryptocurrencies being a trending topic, the advancement to the mass adoption of crypto is quite slow. The market definitely needs more tools and services which will make entering crypto easy, clear and beneficial for regular people. I bet conventional media should also pay more attention to services of that kind.
23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF PRESIDENT DUTERTE and his WAR on the DRUGS in the PHILIPPIN on: July 31, 2018, 03:54:26 PM
i support the war on drug of president Duterte, as a filipino i support myu president cause no one president of th PH did that, He is the only one who did that. drug addiction is like a cancer of society why? cause they commit crimes and they out of their own minds. so we need to stop it spreading or worst we will all in danger and thats why president Duterte doing whats so called "Operation double barrel" to arrest the user, pusher and even the drug Lords.

As a rule, drug addicts commit crimes because drugs on the market are extremely expensive. Therefore, they have to spend all their income on them and there is no money left for the next dose. When they have no money and can't get another dose, they get the cold turkey and lose control of their mind and start robbing and stealing in the urge to get high. However, the reason why drugs cost so much is the war on drugs. If drugs were legal, they would cost extremely cheap so any addict could afford as much as they need and thus there would be no necessity for them to steal and rob as they would steal be able to pay for their addiction maintaining a basic job. The war on drugs is what really makes drugs dangerous.
24  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who to blame: the people or the government? on: July 31, 2018, 03:46:22 PM
In my opinion, the political system itself is the culprit. The vertical of power is built in such a way that people who are ready to sacrifice their moral principles are more likely to succeed. That's a real negative selection. The system just perverts and encourages people to show their worst sides.
25  Other / Off-topic / Re: When you are stressed, what do you do to relax ? on: July 31, 2018, 03:40:48 PM
My favorite method for getting relaxed is drinking some tea. Especially, puerh tea. It at the same time wakes you up, relaxes and clears your thoughts.
26  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To Stop the Cartels, Mexico Strongly Considering the Legalization of ALL Drugs on: July 31, 2018, 03:04:04 PM
That actually a very smart move. By legalizing it all, cartels won't have any sources of income because superprofits would disappear.

Ummm I think the narcos are going to take control of the market anyway, either legal or illegally... In fact, by legalizing drugs, they are giving the cartels the option to "come clear" and to declare and have their money clean almost instantly.

I doubt they will lose any profit, but, how knows? Maybe legalization is the way to the peace in Mexico. And yes, we absolutely need some peace.

The only reason these cartels are earning exorbitant amounts of money is because drugs are illegal. The ban doesn't decrease the demand substantially, but the supply shrinks dramatically, which in couple of with cost of risk makes drugs cost a lot. That considering the fact that the netcost of any drug is negligible. If you legalize all drugs, you make it possible for anyone in the country to enter the market. As a result, the supply will increase and all prices will slump down. The drug market will stop being a high-marginal business and therefore all these cartels will lose their major source of income. As a rule, drug cartels are the biggest beneficiaries and lobbists of ban on drugs.
27  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: July 31, 2018, 02:57:13 PM
It seems to me that the danger from North Korea and its capabilities are overblown. I think Trump just wants as PR to win over a country that has nuclear weapons. He knows that North Korea can strike at America. Therefore, he hoped that victory will be easy.
That's the impression that I get too. Any reports that come out of North Korea seem to show that not a lot of things are going that well in their country. They don't seem to be that good at producing much of anything. It's hard to believe that they are great at building missiles. That being said, there definitely seem to be some ridiculous things going on over there. I don't think it's wrong that we discuss North Korea to some extent. If the reports we hear from refugees who have gotten out of North Korea are true, there a lot of human rights violations happening there that deserve attention. I wonder, if North Koreans never knew anything else, can they be happy with the state of affairs in their country? Or do they feel that their freedom is infringed upon?

I think most of North Koreans have some notion of what life abroad is. A lot of people from DPRK go on business trips to China, for instance. What is more, South Korean soap operas are pretty common in North Korea. They are prohibited officially, but there are plenty of copies in circulation. Even judging by them, people should be getting some ideas of that life in other countries is way better.
28  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: July 31, 2018, 02:47:55 PM
I think the major reason why some atheists hate religion is that the church is pretty often trying to become a full branch of government and influence political decisions and therefore impose their morals and value on people who may not share their views. I, being an atheist, have nothing against any religion for as long as people of that faith don't force me to think the way they do.
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people don't vote? on: July 31, 2018, 02:42:40 PM
I think the major reason people don't vote is that they don't believe their vote can change anything. What can 1 vote change when there are millions of others? People are much more willning to vote in case of direct democracy as it is in Switzerland where the majority of issues is decided on the level of cantons (counties) and not on federal level. That way people can cleary see how their vote and attitude matters as they influence the concrete area they are living in.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism vs capitalism ,which one is good for us ?? on: July 31, 2018, 02:39:33 PM
Capitalism has already failed. There is no true concurrence any more. Corporations are the new dictators, and they have no mercy. I guess that a socialistic society is the lesser of the evils. Capitalism is about money and gadgets, socialism is about humans.

capitlism failed multiple times, last time it failed was, just before the holocaust,

now i am afriad capitalism will fail again, because everyone wants to create cryptocurrencies and find money earning cattle that work for it.

Capitalism didn't fail in the Weimar Republic. Capitalism as it is implies that governments do not intervene in the economy by any means. While the hyperinflation in Weimar Republic was caused exactly by governmental inrventions and uncontrolled printing of money.
31  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A capitalist socialist the new way to live.. on: July 31, 2018, 02:31:44 PM
I have decided the best way to do things is TAX TAX TAX the rich  and spread the wealth about and if you leave your product doesn't go on our markets..

taxing the rich is useless, it creates a crazy taxation system no one understands,  like in germany

The rich always find a way not to pay these taxes imposed on them. Take Trump, for instance. Whenever you introduce progressive taxation, it hurts mainly middle and upper-middle classes who don't have luxury of hiring a lawyer for evading taxes.
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: July 31, 2018, 02:29:22 PM
Personally, I do feel it is theft, I never consented to any taxation. I feel that this video helps explain the video quite well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMQZEIXBMs

Let me put things into a simple POV: Do you enjoy driving on the road? If you are in America you are likely to say no because the roads are quite bad, but if you are European you wouldn't be negative about the roads. (this is at least in most instances)

If it wasn't because of Tax, you would enjoy driving much much MUCH less, because you would be driving in the middle of nowhere, on a dirt road. Don't forget the government pays for the infrastructure that we all use every day. Now... Do we pay more than needed? That is a whole complete other question. But to answer your question, I think it is not theft.

If the government did not have a monopoly on the roads...just imagine how much better they would be today.

There was a government monopoly on telephones for 50 years from 1934 to 1984. Think of the advances in telephones during that time, and think of the advances after.

We should be driving on smart roads right now. Or not on roads. Government fucked up roads.

Same thing with railways. Most of railroads in the US we private which let the industry and infrastructure grow with amazing speed. The natural monopolies don't really exist.
33  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your political orientation? on: July 31, 2018, 02:27:13 PM
I am a Libertarian. A lot of my political views were based on my economical knowledge and personal observations and then when I discovered libertarianism, it turned out I share all of their attitude and ideas. By the way, Libertarian Party is currently the second opposition power in Russia (if not count fake system opposition).
34  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Decrease Population on: July 31, 2018, 01:51:13 PM
The birth rate is already decreasing. It has been for many decades. This is greatly tied to wealth. As a country becomes more wealthy, the birth rate tends to decrease. In the past, it was more important to people to have more children. Not that long ago, the majority of society was involved in farming. Now it is just a small percent of the population. When people had old traditional farms it required a lot of work, so people would have more children to have more free labor. This is still the case in some places, but it's happening less an less as technology relieves farm workers around the world.

I think big families are also a product of tradition, not only desire for free labour. Religious people are more likely to have more children. Smaller families are more characteristic for urban population and the Western society.
35  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's the point of democracy when there's only 2 parties? on: July 31, 2018, 12:44:03 PM
Taking US for example, what's the point if our choice is always between two parties and we have to choose the lesser of 2 evils  Embarrassed

In reality, there are more than 2 parties in the US. For instance, the third biggest party is Libertarian. The issue is that in order to be admitted to tv coverage and debates each presidential candidate has to show more than 15% of recognition (which is conducted through surveys). And the situation is that only 2 parties are usually capable of showing these numbers. For example, Ross Perot was the third candidate during 1992 and 1996 election and he represented Reform Party. Or there was a businessman George Wallace who run as independent in 1968.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you see things financially? on: July 26, 2018, 06:53:00 PM
I am pretty ascetic, but I still need some financial base in order to feel content. So I believe the financial situation makes difference.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you could get a tattoo depicting a movie, which movie would you choose? on: July 26, 2018, 06:49:57 PM
I would go for Hot Fuzz. The scene with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with fire behind would be perfect.
38  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to improve my English speaking? plz suggest me. on: July 26, 2018, 06:41:37 PM
The best decision for myself was buying a Kindle Paperwhite. It's much easier to read books in English on Kindle as there are dictionaries embedded and you can check word's meaning by simply highlighting it.
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook is most dangerous website on the internet on: July 26, 2018, 06:34:28 PM
What nags me about Facebook most is that it's cares more about collecting your marketing data rather thatn about usability and interface. The website is absolutely inconvenient.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where is your "Dream Place" to travel? on: July 26, 2018, 06:24:28 PM
I'd like to visit Iceland. The nature and views there are breathtaking. And local people are considered to be very friendly and open.
