By gold standard I am referring to the fixed supply of Chesscoin. The demand vs supply economics of a currency for the chess community.

If we want commercial chess websites, chess product sellers and chess service providers to use Chesscoin then it is important that we have fixed supply and have reached a situation where we are using the blockchain and have reasonably fast transaction block time and relatively low transaction cost.

I see the future being that we use the Chesscoin blockchain for smart contracts for chess product and chess  transactions and the we have a bunch of tokens which provide us liquidity with implied volatility but are essentially backed by Chesscoin.

I created such a token Chesscoin Cash, $CHESSCASH (totally supply 64M). I intend to Airdrop this to holders of Chesscoin and offer for a smart price to everyone else. It is on the Ethereum blockchain so works with gas and exchange value to USD is set by forex market I created for www.chessfutures.com which is an index of the top chess players and a whole other story, but a platform for speculation on chess games.

The 2020 vision fits with me perfectly. I would commit to the project and want to develop it so that when we go public it will be a viable prospect for speculators and investors but more importantly the go to crypto for the global chess community.

This is the essence of the question that every functional chess website or community must ask themselves.

1) Create a Lichess Clone (from scratch using independently developed code) and maintain it indefinitely but monetize it at will with ads and endorsements and sponsorships.

2) Use Lichess source code as chess service but have no commercial activity as a Lichess instance.

3) Become a Lichess patron and offer value back to Lichess and offer value to your chess community members when they participate, and win tournaments with Chesscoin prizes

4) Find a non-Lichess 3rd party chess server solution and do whatever you want, even chesscoin stakes as entry fee and bigger prize money in Chesscoin

It is a viable solution and allows us to concentrate on developing chesscoin potential rather than the framework of a chess server.

I have seen a fully monetized chess website called Chess Stars https://www.chessstars.com/, they would really benefit from having Chesscoin as a currency. The website is a very good example of chess monetization for the sake of chess profit and does attract a lot of player looking to make profit. I however don't see a community.

I am making a collaborative, decentralized community of service providers and service users who want to engage in trading be it participating in chess tournaments or trading forex pairs of chesscoin/USD etc. If Lichess provide the chess server service then we use their widget and support them.

The faucet for ChessCoin is a great idea. For a payout every hour 0.125 Chess. What list of actions qualify for the payout? What incentives would you like loyalty bonus, referral bonus, as well as the payout? Did you want to allow auto faucet API action or forbid it?
