21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / An opinion piece got me thinking of the ETH time bomb on: September 17, 2018, 09:39:37 AM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/pawelkuskowski/2018/09/14/how-to-stop-ether-going-to-zero-the-difficultly-bomb-problem/#d1ea05246393

This stuff made me reflect, what if ETH just goes to zero because they won't make it in time or the miners will simply revolt again?
Can we really trust these POS implementations not to become an oligarchy? ETH is getting destroyed when it comes to price anyways, it's in for a hell of a ride.

So Grant Blaisdell (Coinfirm's Co-Founder) was featured in an article on bitnewstoday regarding reaching the maximum supply of BTC.

Look it up, there are some interesting opinions there

I saw this shared by Grant Blaisdell, thought i'd leave it here, i'm pretty convinced that Coinfirm and AMLT can take the world by storm as we need good regtech companies in crypto space.

It's just a matter of time

26  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Successful ICOs have these in common on: August 16, 2018, 01:05:58 PM
had you guys heard about GCOX? their promoting ACM coin seems great, england soccor star Michael owen is one of the investor too

They have three celebrities already. Owen, Pacquaio, and Jason Derulo. They also have a great list of private investors, one of them is Bin Zayed. Sounds good, but I don't know how successful it will be.

Celebrities provide hype, not trust. They probably know nothing about all of this and were just paid out, it doesn't show that ICO will be successful.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: August 14, 2018, 11:03:39 AM

BTX at $1.18 now.  Like I said, another leg down for bitcoin and alts.  It’s gonna much uglier before it gets better.  I can see BTX maybe even hitting $.50.  Hang in there if you’re a believer.

Ya I mean if it breaks below 5800 then the bottom is much much further down. So far I am right Vlad. Called it when the bubble burst that the recovery would take until maybe early to mid 2019 to start. Maybe at the earliest Q4 of this year.

With what's happening around the social media lately, i guess you're right...
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [AMLT] The Token of Compliance by Coinfirm on: August 14, 2018, 10:58:29 AM
After ico ends there were so many "Good News" from this project.
But that did not boost AMLT prices in the market.
It seems like the main problem is Exchange ...

That and the whole market in general. Almost every ICO I invested in is trading below its ico price.
Only thing to do right now is to hold and wait for better times  Cheesy

The good news is that these guys keep on developing in this bear market. just think what will happen when the bulls and exchanges come.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stringent laws! on: August 10, 2018, 10:14:59 AM
I've read a great article lately about how too much regulation might stagnate the development of cryptso, i'm all up for some regulation, but i'd say we should be really careful.

The article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/pawelkuskowski/2018/08/01/why-regulating-cryptocurrencies-as-securities-would-stifle-growth/#6c88f0e9242b
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to Invest? on: August 10, 2018, 10:12:11 AM
I wouldn't look past the top-marketcap coins since a lot of them will fade away into irrelevancy in a couple months. Check out BTCP, its rebase and compatibility with BTC's Lightning Network makes me believe that it will be the top stealth crypto we'll have.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Global financial crisis on: August 10, 2018, 10:07:57 AM
Stocks are overpriced in relation to their cost and earnings, it looks like there will be a very large collapse soon.  There is a lot of speculation that this crash will be much large than the one back in 2008.

This along with car loan bubble might be the main triggers of this crisis. We need cleansing from terrible investments.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to Google to have their own coin ? on: August 09, 2018, 12:11:07 PM
I don't think it's such a great idea in a market this saturated, they'd need to find actually good use-cases for it.
33  Economy / Economics / Re: Global financial crisis on: August 09, 2018, 12:00:51 PM
If you know how the world works, our great leaders will do all they can to keep the economy going, even if it means sacrificing some of the population. What revives the economy? War. It helped Germany when it was in a crisis, it gave people a purpose. The pattern is always the same:
1. find a scapegoat (the Jews, the Vietnamese, the Iraqis)
2. use the media to set people against them and justify military action
3. attack and watch the industry kick in
4. steal what you can from the country
5. count the profits.

I'd say with the current age of information it's way more difficult to find a scapegoat unless it's something like DRPK. I hope people would become way more pacifist someday.

As for keeping the economy going, unfortunately govts would probably bail out most banks, but that still means we'd be in for a major shakeout. Just look at how small of a spark globally was the american market in 2k8, i think with how much debt we've amassed, the crisis is inevitable and it's going to be sooner than most project.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: August 09, 2018, 11:46:33 AM
This post is wrong on so many levels. ETH and BTC differ in their use-cases, BTC is currently leading when it comes to scaling and microtransaction innovation,
ETH is the dapp/smart contract leader, although scaling will come to it too with plasma/casper. Both are the must haves atm.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS DESPERATION FOR FREE TOKENS!!! on: August 09, 2018, 11:44:20 AM
People are learning that airdrops are just being used as bait. It's 99% worthless and you just looking at them is a waste of time. Crypto is still young, people will learn with time.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we believe the ICObench? on: August 07, 2018, 10:31:41 AM
It's one of the more reputable sites, yes sure, they might also be paid to promote stuff, but it never prevents anyone from doing their own research
37  Economy / Economics / Global financial crisis on: August 07, 2018, 10:23:34 AM
I'm expecting a new crisis to arise in the next 4-6 years, i think what's happening in the loan and reposition industry creates a pathological state.
Banks are still feeling too safe for what they're doing, their mistakes will sooner or later bring on a decline.
Also considering austrian cycle theory, i'd say we're in the boom. Soon gold and solid cryptos might be the go-to when it comes to keeping your money safe.

How long do you guys think we have until we face the next crisis?
