21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should the religion interfere with political issues? on: August 24, 2018, 01:53:59 PM
There are a lot of problems we, as individual and as a society, faces everyday. Whether it be physically, mentally, environmentally, pyschologically or morally it seems that these problems are inevitable.

The role of the government is to stabilize and provide the basic needs of a citizen including the order and organization among individuals. While the religion is to ensure that faith and morale of the citizens are still in equilibrium with whatever aspect.

In terms of the political issues that arises between the government and the opposition, should the sector of religion interfere with whatever the citizens and the government must decide?
In theory, if a population is comprised entirely of people from one religion, it could be okay for religion to play a big role in politics. I say "in theory" because that it's pretty much impossible without forcing people to be of one religion. Thus, it's better to keep religion and state separate. Governments can consult with religious leaders and try to make sure their followers have the rights and freedoms they deserve, but they shouldn't be making decisions themselves for a whole country.

I understand your proposition, but based on what I see in my country and what the news has been implicitly telling, it seems that the church has hindered so much advancement that the state could've done because of their so-called moral issues and so on. But, thank you for your wonderful opinion! Smiley

To paraphrase Ralph Waldo Emerson, we are neither improving nor getting worse. Every time we better ourselves at doing good, we also better ourselves at doing evil. The steady forces on both ends are kept constantly in balance.

So you can say that while we get better technologically, we lose part of ourselves in other ways. But it's not all doom and gloom. The things we get better at help us to recognize our failures, if we learn to listen. We just need to pay attention to these things.

And lifespans are getting shorter? How so? Modern medicine has made lifespans much longer
Thank you very much! Your username is synonymous to your character, hahaha!

24  Economy / Economics / Bitcoins and a country's economy on: August 16, 2018, 11:42:44 PM
Although bitcoin is not that an "official" currency yet, one can say that a country having most of its citizen engaged with a trending, highly-anticipated financial support that should help the country's economic and trading aspect to boom and improve.

We say this, thought of this, but in reality it is hard to imagine how can bitcoins fuel and power up a country and its economical stabilization with almost all of its citizen engaged with it? First of all, it is not an official currency which will give problems regarding to the trading and cycle of currency within a country. And lastly, the management and utilization of it is also a problem.

So, how can we say that the bitcoins are a support to a country and its economy? Is it even possible? How will that happen?

Bitcoin is truly a treasure for someone who achieved even a single piece of it. Its value transcends that of a precious gold dust, proven that most people spend most of their time and effort to gain one bitcoin atleast. One can say that a bitcoin can replace everything; from salary, currency and that of a treasure. A country with its citizen having much reserve of bitcoins can be a powerful economic advantage.

Discipline is naught; birthrate increases but resources becomes depleted. The lifespan of a human is gradually going down. Nature is becoming more dangerous than it was before.

Are we really moving forward? Or are we lacking some essential aspect that a human requires?

Its value and essence is something that we cannot just ignore, resulting for some people relying on these 'God-given grace' instead of working hard and gaining the money that their own country uses. Some thought that it would be better off to have bitcoins and convert it into any kind of currency rather than to get a job and earn some thing. What do you think? Will bitcoin be able to eclipse the existence of national currencies in the near future?
