21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Questions about Bitcoin with merit awards/ on: June 29, 2018, 10:38:04 AM
I gave you a merit for that post. It's a pretty generalised basic explanation, so there is still plenty of scope for members to expand on it.
Thanks a lot  Smiley Wasn`t sure that all technical detailes needed, so I tried to simlify. Should I make an answer deeper or allowing others to participate will be a better call?
I think, establishing/explaining some rules in first post may be appropriate. For exaple, can a person answer one question multiple times and if yes - which amount of  posts is allowed etc.

If I understood the question right, answer will be: each new block has the hash of previous one within. What is hash? As I understand it, without all functions and math stuff, it`s a big set of symbols, which is calculated based on such set of previous block and special algorithm. So hash is the key.
23  Other / Meta / Re: Is this question too technical for the beginners board? on: June 29, 2018, 09:41:19 AM
I've started another merit awarding thread in beginners. In it, I ask for an explanation of the block linkage in the blockchain.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4564849.

I'm hoping to shift the focus in beginners back to Bitcoin and crypto. Do you think that the question is too technical for the beginners board?
I think, people will be very much tempted to copy-past technical information in your thread from all kinds of  sources Wink
This object is deep and interesting, though it may be hard to truly understand. In my opinion, only people, who launched this technology understand it 100% with all details.
Back to your question, as far as I concerned, there are beginners on forum with good education in technical stuff, so such threads will stimulate them to systematize their knowledges and may be learn something new. For others it `ll be a good source of information. You doing a good work  Smiley

As far, as I understood from posts on this thread, this wasn`t a one time thing. So, how can you talk about a mistake? Mistake is not something that you keep doing, knowing you are wrong. If it became systematical, I think admins had their reasons to ban you.
In the same time, I believe that nobody should get a perma ban without warning first.
P.S. Talking about not knowing English in English is somewhere around funny, though Smiley

???Why can't I load this site while connected to my VPN?? does it conflict with site rules or something ? i wouldn't think it would.
Don`t think, that the problem is in VPN as in net service, I`d rather bet on ip adresses, that you are using. Some of them are compromised and protective software just blocks every attempt to connect from such ones. Try another VPN provider, it should help.
26  Other / Meta / Re: Does Google re-index edited threads? on: June 28, 2018, 05:22:55 PM
Well it hasn't indexed my edited additon. We'll see if it picks it up tomorrow, but I thinit unlikely. Based on the evidence so far, it looks as if Google may ask SMF for a list of the latest posts. I'll copy the post tomorrow and bump the thread, then I'll delete the old post to see how Google handles that. I might even correct the typos as well. Smiley
Hello. Actually, Google does re-index threads, especially considering that this forum is very popular. However, it takes some time. I wouldn`t expect changes in the index somewhere soon, if I was you. Don`t even sure, that deleting original post will fix this issue, because an old version is already in Google`s index and if you try, you can even find links for threads that are long gone in there.
Sorry for being not helpful  Roll Eyes
27  Other / Meta / Re: Lamborghini Member, what title is that? on: June 28, 2018, 04:46:48 PM
So how do you request theymos for a custom title or do you need a certain kind of trust in the forum in order to request and obtain one? Also do you need to pay a certain amount depending on the title you want? Because I also don't think that everyone can have that kind of privilege here in the forum.
You don't have to necessarily pay(?). You can ask him nicely or give a valid explanation for why you want to have a a custom title. The chances of getting a custom title are more when you're reputable and have contributed to the community.
Imagine, how hundreds of users are trying to "ask him nicely" after your reply Grin  I think, reputability and contribution to the community should be on the firs place.
P.S. I`m not certain if one need to be a Legendary or at least Hero to leave a reply in this thread, so I tried  Grin
28  Other / Meta / Re: You are unable to post. How to enable posting. on: June 28, 2018, 04:27:36 PM
Hello, everyone. Thought it was only my problem, before I found this thread  Smiley Read all you guys wrote here about public wifi etc and about paying a little amount of btc. The thing is, if a registration on this forum was chargable (I mean - not free) there would not be a problem at all. I`ll gladly pay some small amount, because everyone pays. But in this case, we see, that people got charged almost randomly. I can say for myself, didn`t even hear about bitcointalk till yesterday. Don`t use TOR or any stuff like that either. But when I tried to register account I still was charged and got some "evil points". So here I am now, sitting at my friend`s place to chat with people on FREE to register forum. Makes no sence for me.
On the other hand, I understand security and all that, just don`t understand why my non-dynamic, not used in TOR ip got into some blacklist. Sorry for being negative, I got that admins just trying to do their best to make this place safe. May be, I`m just got unlucky.
P.S.As I see It, warning about this situation BEFORE registration won`t be excessive.
29  Other / Meta / Re: I'm new and my message got deleted? on: June 28, 2018, 03:48:57 PM
Hi all, please excuse my newbie Sad

My friend started to tell me about bitcoin/cryptocurrencies and airdrops. I joined this forum when I posted on an airdrop thread. Then I got my post deleted.

Do I have to be more part of the community before I can sign up for airdrops?

Hello. It may be caused by airdrop ban in "Alternative cryptocurrencies" board. Try to read this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0 by theymos. Sorry if I got your problem wrong.
