Powell, what size case did you get?
im going to order my ants probably in the next few days here... just hesitant because of the case situation to be honest.  i think i found a sweet local datacenter to host them too, soi'm looking forward to the next few weeks.

i'll post the cases i choose and put pictures of my mods (assuming i do them) here.  it will be my first ever real "mod" on a piece of computer hardware so hopefuly it isnt too ... bad .  Cheesy

28  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Projects on: February 04, 2014, 08:42:18 AM
Good News chainsaw.

@Projects if you are watching this thread,it's your last chance to return coins.

I thinkhis chance has sailed.  even if he repaysnow, the lawyers (****ING SPACE BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!) are probably licking their chops at a nice pay-out after they prove his guilt.
too much has been invested, i think, at this point, for the legal process to turn back.
chainsaw won't want to confirm or reject this because it leaves projects wondering, but this is just mypersonal opinion.

30  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4U rack mount case options for ASIC SEtups on: February 04, 2014, 06:19:09 AM
can you send or post some pics of your cases?  would love to see these.
i have never done hardware modifying to this extent, i imagine i need some welding experience to start modding 4U racks, yeah?

how many antminers do you have?  i am currently looking to rent a datacenter.  an ibm datacenter sounds badass... ill go on a limb and assume that they dont accept renters?  i need my antminers to live elsewhere.

i hate modifying my gear either hardware or software.  i alwasy rush my work because i think in the back of my head the amount of coin ill be missing if i don't hurry.  its a curse!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
31  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Legitimate data center somewhere in the USA for hosting on: February 04, 2014, 03:38:04 AM
I have a datacenter, but unfortunately it's illegitimate. A wild night with cat5 in all the wrong places and no firewall.

Bastard datacenter or not, I still love it like my own.

own or rent?
32  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Legitimate data center somewhere in the USA for hosting on: February 04, 2014, 02:36:45 AM
Cheap datacenters... Have you checked in nc?

I'm curious though wouldn't it be cheaper just to rent an apt or house with utilities included ?

i did that a few years ago but i kind of felt like a dick for saturating 4 of my unit's power.  the landlord was just a random lady who had the same bills to pay as everyone else.

i haven't checekd NC.  can anyone vouch?

location?
38  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4U rack mount case options for ASIC SEtups on: February 03, 2014, 09:05:32 PM
I asked in custom hardware but not much response.  I am going to be moving my Antminers to our datacenter and I cannot just stack them inside of a rack so I am trying to convert them into a case.

I am trying to find a 4U case that has a slot for a power supply and I don't have to hack up too much to fit each blade in.  Also if one side has a fan and the other is grated that would be even better.

I know a few ASIC companies are getting them and as much as they say they designed them I hardly doubt it.

Thanks

I wouldn't bother trying to make a case, you are just adding unnecessary costs.  Put in some shelves and stack them, it works great. We zip tie 3 units together and run them off one power supply; you should be able to stack 6 per shelf, 4 shelves per cab (assuming your DC will allow for that much power density).
i dont think powell WANTS to make a case, I think it is neccesary in order to move them to a legit datacenter (yeah?).

i am also planning on moving my ants to a datacenter and likely need to do the same thing.
i wonder if theres enough demand for some modded cases, a good case modifier can piece something together to fit 4-6 ants and 2 psus.  that would be fantastic.

id even throw 1-2 BTC in an escrow while its being built so he knows its not for none.  powell would you have any interest here or are you planning on making your own?
39  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Legitimate data center somewhere in the USA for hosting on: February 03, 2014, 08:55:50 PM
the plan is to host multiple (20+ antminers)
40  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 1.50 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: February 03, 2014, 08:48:39 PM
I have found someone willing to repackage and ship my antminer to the EU so I will be ordering one soon as well I just have one question. Will the next batch (16th feb-?) be even cheaper?

if you look at graterninjas history of pricing they seem to adjust prices bi-weekly according to diff adjustments.
