don't know if this link is static or will show another picture in a few hours, but you can see a huge red bar and the prices reaching and staying at 19.  Smiley

You know when I was little, I used to think that all the adults who fall for get-rich-quick-schemes are stupid. That they don't know something I do. Now I know it was in fact the other way around. I didn't know something, they did. And they knew: Sometimes these schemes work. They have seen people get rich quick, with no work. I didn't know it could work, I didn't see people get rich. So in summary I now know it is perfectly reasonable for people to think that get-rich-quick-schemes could work, because they can. (1% of the time, but they can)

Same here, I just tried to send 0.5 to a friend for testing, but the client didn't let me. I have 3 confirmations on my account balance, so maybe I have to wait for more confirmation before being able to send it without fee?
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Transaction fee of 0.01 for a 0.02 Send? on: June 13, 2011, 09:32:18 PM
yeah, my transaction now has 2 confirms and it shows up here http://blockexplorer.com/address/15tDuX1PnEAT7jL7LJFmJPgSEgmUMQapfK

I tried to send 0.01 to my friend, but it said I need to pay 0.01 fee, because I just got it. Maybe after some time it will work.

I have an incoming transaction for 0.01157234 bitcoins from a mining pool. I guess the mining pool did not put a fee in it to send it out. So now no one is processing this payment and it is sitting there for hours as unconfirmed. I thought bitcoins was an instant transaction system. And now even if I get the 0.01157234 I can not even send 0.00001000 to a friend as test?? Very disappointing.

the address is supposed to be on the very top, maybe you overlooked it?
28  Other / Beginners & Help / I propose as name for the smallest bitcoin unit: mic (micro cent) on: June 13, 2011, 08:54:16 AM
The common names are:
10-2: cent
10-3: milli
10-6: micro
10-9: nano

The smallest bitcoin is 10-8

So we do 10-6 * 10-2
= micro * cent
= mic

I currently have 0.00875801 bitcoins, so 875,801 mics!

I am almost a mic millionaire!

and 1 mic million = 1 cent (0.01000000)

currently mining and trying to get my first bitcent (0.01)! At 10Mhash/s and 10% efficiency this will take a while, but I need 0.01 to withdraw it from the mining site. Then I will finally have my first bitcent in the wallet!
(my graphic card can not mine, it's a Geforce GT 230)
