21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 07, 2014, 02:33:11 PM
Good idea!  I suggest all of you know-it-alls start your own pool and show h2o how to do it.  Afterall, he's only been running the most successful, most profitable multipool around . . . you guys should school him . . . LOL!!!
I also applaud the suggestion that all of you whiners move your workers to another pool.  Great idea!!!

The rest of us will just sit here watching our balances grow from the generally excellent job h2o is doing and laugh at all of you who think they know how to run a pool better than him. Roll Eyes

Good luck here

maybe you can have some respect for someone else his choice if it is another one than yours instead of that annoying shouting and pissing on everyone.

Most people post when leaving to build up the pressure on H20, like myself, he had to fix the probs. probs fixed i am back on MC.
It's all about stability now.
If the stability was ok than it is not a problem when profits going down, the profits fluctuating, calculated risc.

I don't think that was Catsworld's overall point.

The point is that it is always SOMETHING.

That is the point; the theme for the last few days is stability. Before that, the fact that the un-exchanged was high. Before that, well, someone misspelled their BTC address and then H20 was ripping people off.

H20 fixes stability; then the problem becomes the reporting or high reject rates. H20 fixes that, the problem becomes high difficulty settings on the mining.

Seriously. H20 can never be at a point where people say "oh, OK the pool is fine".

I understand that issues will always come up, servers will go down, manual trades will need to be made, etc. But if it is something new every freaking day, and things are being changed that don't need to be (IE difficulty set to 1024 when people have complained that 512 is too high), then there comes a breaking point where lots of people will choose some other alternative.

I'm probably going to give wafflepool a try. I've been using middlecoin for about a week now and the constant issues are getting a bit annoying.

23  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much longer will Mt.Gox exist before they´re out of business? on: January 29, 2014, 03:46:43 PM
So if Gox goes bye-bye, what will happen to services like Coinbase and Bitpay that require Mt Gox to function? I imagine they would scramble to find a viable alternative, but I'm not sure of all the regulations they need to comply with. Would they even have the option to use some other exchange? Would it have to be a US based exchange? Is there any exchange that would be able to support Coinbase, Bitpay, and the like?
