24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The past, present and future of Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2019, 09:04:25 PM
It seems to me that it would be nice if Bitcoin were used as a means of payment, then its price would rise to its level and would be stable within certain limits.  But since the majority of users of cryptocurrency is not you in one, Bitcoin will never be stable and because of this will not be used for its intended purpose.  After all, the fact is that it is the volatility that attracts investors today so that there is an opportunity to get more profits.

I use it as a payment - bought a new farmhouse, 50 acres of land, new tractor, new woodstove etc with bitcoin turned into fiat free and clear.  BTC and bitcoin cash has made me wealthy and I have plenty more.

34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I went to a bitcoin meetup Many people there had bitcoin, no-one actually use it on: June 30, 2019, 03:29:33 PM
Well I did, back in 2014 (I think) I bought hundreds for about $250 each and and then got an equal number of bitcoin cash for free when that came out.

A year and a half ago used it to buy a new farm house and barn on 40 acres of land (ten acres pasture and rest forest), new tractor, soapstone wood stove, (and 20 percent capital gains tax).  Still have quite a number left.

There - someone used it.

I do not know, but I bought over 250 bitcoin several years ago when it was about $250 and then got a free amount of free bitcoin cash in August
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee lied to me on: January 23, 2019, 10:02:21 PM
He is smart, there is no doubt about that but I guess everyone knows that no one could predict whether a coin is going up or down. The coin that he advertised may be indeed good as he claimed but that is not necessarily supposed to show in the price, we have coins that are completely useless and yet on the top, and some of them have a unique use case and active development but simply didn't make it. And If you're referring about the tweets that he used to make in the past (not sure If still doing it) then I believe he's being paid for that.

Ya he is for sure a smart guy but the drug addiction and his personality makes him a loose cannon.   I mean I'm sure he gets people excited about crypto but he probably turns off a lot of people with his ridiculous predictions.

Ridiculous predictions?  LOL.  Remember not too long ago when Bitcoin was worth less than 1-cent each?  Now it's like $3500 and more!  So what makes his prediction of 100K and more "ridiculous", as you say?
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder - are there ppl here who bought BTC when it was 19k ? on: January 02, 2019, 01:45:41 AM
I bought alot of bitcoin several years ago when it was between $250 and $400 or so.  Then got free bitcoin cash of same amount in August.  Became wealthy.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin vs fiat; why bitcoin will eventually succeed on: December 31, 2018, 01:11:22 AM
No fiat currency ever lasts for long. Never will.  It is based on NOTHING and governments print up as much as they want which devalues it over time.  Friends dad used to work in the 1930's 50-hours a week for 25-cents an hour.  That was a livable wage - try doing that now.

There can ever be only 21 million bitcoins.  That is it.  It will one day be worth more than a million dollars each.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still "Early Adopters"? on: December 24, 2018, 08:45:53 PM
Yes, there is no doubt we are Early Adopters.  Much like the first people who bought cars over a hundred years ago, or used printing presses instead of scribes, or the Internet instead of newspapers, and on and on.
