21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 20, 2018, 08:25:17 AM
Compared with EOS, Tezos can be said to have bright spots and how to choose the market. We only have time to tell us.

Tezos should rise to $20 to reach the present market cap of EOS. I don't think it is so easy to reach it.
Compared to EOS, Tezos lacks so much marketing and the supporters and the whales.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ELI] Elicoin (CPU mining only) EXCHANGE AVAILABLE! on: May 20, 2018, 08:20:21 AM
I feel upset cause the official pool still does not work for me. On the remaining pools, there are very few blocks and very unstable work Huh

What exactly is not working on official pool?

MainPool is NOT interested in low-power-miners so they set stratumdiff to 1 instead of 0.1 like other pools...
its very sad ...

Even price is going down and down ...

The dev team should find more application for this coin and then do more market for it. Otherwise, the coin has no future. and the mining is not profitable.
I still have mined some of Elicoins. But the price is far less than what I expected.

You can find everything you want know about Satoshi Nakamoto in that link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto

Thank you

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto could be the century mystery. From the name, it looks like a Japanese. But no one know exactly who he is. Anyway, he is a genius, no doubt.

My wallet stop syncing again for almost 10hrs, is there a problem again with the nodes? @jacklezz hope you put some updates. Thanks

No, the nodes are running just fine, you perhaps got disconnected from most and are unable to find some peers automatically due to the DNS seeder not being online yet. Are you connected to any peers? Has your node banned peers?
Try to restart the wallet. (And optionally delete Peers.dat first)

If you're having problems and this seems like a hassle, you can safely just wait and keep the wallet offline if you want until we announce that the DNS seeder is online.

I have only one peer, but my minting indicator turned gray again, but some weird thing happen in my wallet, I saw it again this morning that I got some stake even my minting indicator are gray.

The only one peer is not enough for effectively minting. I had the same problem some days ago. With 1-2 peers, I can mint but most of them are only orphan blocks.
Try to add your peers.

Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?

No, I don't think the cryptocurrency will help homeless people.
For them, it is the most important to be back to the real world to have their real life. Get a job and have the incoming...
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLC] iEx.ec blockchain-based distributed cloud announces its Crowdsale on: May 17, 2018, 01:27:55 AM
"Intel and iExec have started a collaboration on privacy-preserving offchain computing" added for voting, proof and forecast on YEENOT TODAY https://yeenot.today/catalog/news/253
do you see demo on Consensus 2018 ?

EEA’s Offchain Working Group Led by Intel and iExec

iExec, the leader in blockchain-based decentralized cloud computing has been making efforts to deploy several mechanisms to improve the security of the iExec decentralized cloud. Intel SGX technology fully meets the security requirements of the iExec decentralized platform. iExec is the first company in the cloud and blockchain industry to leverage Intel SGX technology.

This collaboration was initiated in the context of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), iExec and Intel both being members of the Alliance. The two companies have launched a new EEA working group focusing on off-chain capabilities. Privacy has been a long-running issue in the development of the blockchain ecosystem. iExec and Intel’s collaboration is one more step towards the full adoption of Ethereum blockchain for businesses.
Consensus 2018 — EEA Workshop

On May 16, 2018 Intel has presented the project at Consensus conference in New York during the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance workshop. This is one of the most important international meetings related to blockchain technology. iExec will perform a demonstration of an application running on the iExec decentralized cloud and integrating Intel SGX technology.

Oh, shit! my weak hand! Sold my 70% of RLC long time ago.....  Cry
My lesson is to hold the potential coin/token for a long term...
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 17, 2018, 01:25:32 AM
hello someone can tell me what is byteball in short words?

Byteball is a decentralized system that allows tamper proof storage of arbitrary data,
including data that represents transferrable value such as currencies, property titles, debt,
shares, etc.

"decentralized" Cheesy

The exactly same feeling makes me the same smile Cheesy .
The way of Byteball distribution and operation  is far away from "decentralized", while the supporters are advocating the features.
I don't think the wise whales will kick in before it comes to be decentralized.

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin v2.0? on: May 15, 2018, 12:57:57 AM
Out of curiousity, What if we create the version 2 of bitcoin? I mean if theres no bitcoin to mine by sometime in 2140, can we just create a version 2 of it that starts from 0 to 21million coins again? If this makes sense, will the first bitcoins lose its value or it will be more higher because it will be a "rare" coin?

As presented, there are more than thousands of alt coins and a lot of Bitcoin forks. None of them will hurt the bitcoin.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a goverment trace you have BTC? on: May 15, 2018, 12:49:34 AM
How can the government discover I own BTC, let's say I'm from Venezuela where crypto is banned, what they can do to discover and arrest me?

BTC is declaimed to be anonymous, but actually not totally.
Basically, you can be traced by your ip where you connect to the internet. Anyway, you can use tor.
Another thing is when you want to buy/sell bitcoin with FIAT. Most exchanges will ask your personal information.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 14, 2018, 09:14:56 AM
I have just noticed that on coinmarketcap Tezos (Futures) changed into Tezos(Pre Launch). Also there is new exchange gate.io with Tezos/USDT pair. Anyone has any info?

I also noticed that the price of Tezos has a close to 20% pump. Is any good news coming? Or is it close to the launch?
It is a really long time wait.  Grin Grin
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 14, 2018, 09:12:29 AM
At present, before the AE main network is launched in June, as long as AE does not appear on major projects, it can hold firmly waiting.

Before the main net launch, the price fluctuations can be foreseen. We are looking forward to the end of Q2 and want to see what will happen.
Not every production will bring a pump of price.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 13, 2018, 01:43:56 PM
AE is a great project for sure, one of the best if you ask me.
So I sold my AE at $5.15 and bought me some AION. It's another awesome project in my point of view. Rebought the same amount of AE @ $3.55. Oh yeah, baby. I love trades like that.

Strong hand! The long-term holding will be another good investment. I always had weak hand for the short-term.

Hi, jackleszz, what will happen if I open two wallets on two different computers with the same wallet.dat at the same time?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 12, 2018, 09:29:36 AM
æternity really has one of the best developer teams in the blockchain industry Smiley

We cannot conclude the AE is the best, but at least the most struggling. The progress is keeping moving forward. And we will expect the rise of AE.

Hi!
How to optimize the stacking process. In order for the process to work at 100 percent?
Should we split coins between different adresses or its better to keep them in one wallet?

Note that with a balance of less than 30 BTC2 your staking efficiency would already be close enough to 100%. If you have a higher balance, consider doing the following steps:

To achieve 100% staking efficiency:

1) Make sure you're allowing incoming connections and that you are connected to a lot of peers.
There's currently 25 nodes connected to the Bitcoin 2 network. If you see only a few peers connected, then have a look at the following to get better results:

Most home routers have NAT that by default blocks incoming connections initiated by someone else than you so you are likely connected to very few peers because of that and thus more likely to mint orphaned blocks. You can usually fix that and start allowing incoming connections with one of two ways:

... A) Launch Bitcoin 2 Core, go to Settings - Options. Go to Network. Enable: "Map port using UPnP". Then restart the app. You may also want to read this article: https://dirkmittler.homeip.net/blog/archives/3340
... B) Or follow the guide at: https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node#enabling-connections - the steps are exactly the same for Bitcoin 2.

2) You wallet should have 100 UTXOs (unspent transaction outputs, AKA unspent incoming transactions) or more.  This is because every time you stake or send an amount, that amount cannot be staked or spent for 101 blocks, while it is maturing (being staked). You can see the number of UTXOs that you have in the Coin Control dialog. Doesn't matter how many addresses or wallets they are split into. One single address can hold these 100 UTXOs.
if your balance is lower than 500 BTC2, You can get a close enough result without that much effort by splitting your balance into stacks of 5 - 50 BTC2. For example 150 BTC2 can just be split into 5 pieces and you'd be unlikely to notice the difference in efficiency of that versus splitting it in 100 parts. You can do the splitting by sending BTC2 to yourself.

Thank you so much, jackleszz.
Finally, I knew why I always got a lot of conflicted minted coins.
I will try to fix it.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: May 11, 2018, 12:14:06 AM
I have no idea about the new release of roadmap. Is it released yet?
I also don't understand why NXT is still running after ARDOR release.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 11, 2018, 12:12:07 AM
Staking broken again.
Last received reward 18th April, that was 16 days ago while staking reward is between 9-12 days.

Staking always worked very well, you just do FUD.
If the staking Time / Period is T [days] you can receive in T / 3 and also in 3T as something normal to the process.
You have 5% + guaranteed, everything is working well.

I think stake is still working. The problem is to get more coins to get more weight to get stake.
And also, I think the sync problem for some countries should be solved.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ELI] Elicoin (CPU mining only) EXCHANGE AVAILABLE! on: May 10, 2018, 01:48:31 AM
What's the present development status?
Is it profitable to mine Elicoin? Where can I trade it?

I took a few bch yesterday for long term hold and I am again glad to see BCH climb, what do you expect price leads to fork? think more than 0.2 maybe?

You cannot predict the trend of the price exactly. I thought that Bitcoin should head forward to at least $12000 in this week, but actually it jumps to $9000.
I bought some BCH at 0.15-0.16 several months ago, and hope its bright future.
