24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPonzi: GLBSE pyramid scheme! on: July 03, 2011, 10:04:04 PM
...so I buy a share for 1 BTC (e.g.) to get back 90 bitcents? Wow, sounds like a GREAT deal! Roll Eyes

With the "once a week" scheme, I doubt anyone will even buy a single share in week 2, so it quite likely that you only give some free money to the operator.

Also it's fairly easy to cheat a system like this as an operator.

Edit: Some people seem quite eager to loose money, maybe I should do something similar?! http://charts.glbse.com/markets/BitPonzi_trades.html
so it's always going to be at a loss of 10% for whoever buys a share?

11.7 Early + SDK 2.5 = ~755 MH/s compared to ~740 with 11.6 + SDK 2.4... (2x 6970s @ 880/170 [mem downclocked with MSI Afterburner after disabling EULA]  ...also disabled ULPS)

32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIMiner "Connecting" on: June 29, 2011, 12:53:13 AM
anyone?
33  Other / Beginners & Help / GUIMiner "Connecting" on: June 28, 2011, 09:41:52 PM
is there a way to ensure that a miner will attempt to reconnect after "Connecting..." for a long time, such as timing out and retrying the connection?  a miner today of mine was stuck at "Connecting..." for several hours before i came home during lunch break to manually reconnect the miner... i wish it would have just timed out and auto-attempted to reconnect instead of being stuck forever at "Connecting...," so i don't lose out on so much time
34  Other / Beginners & Help / 2x Radeon 6970s (guiminer settings) on: June 19, 2011, 05:34:57 PM
what do you guys recommend for mining with 2x Radeon hd 6970s?

is guiminer the best client, and also should i configure them to be in crossfirex or independently? also what about the 'extra flags' such as -v settings? any thoughts are welcomed for properly tuning this situation... thanks

36  Other / Beginners & Help / Deepbit lost BTC payout on: June 15, 2011, 04:54:26 AM
I was trying to get ahold of tycho of deepbit because i lost one of my transactions into the abyss...

15.06.2011 04:36   XXXXXXXX...   0.04

i made another transaction after that one was lost and it's reflected in my wallet, but for 0.04 transaction there is apparently no record of it in deepbit... even though its in the payment listing before the 0.01 i was getting bad gateway errors on the instant payments
