Did my research and found our that you are alike to Craiglist.
Is there any difference between your platforms?

Digital marketplace such as Craigslist, also called unmanaged marketplace, offer a great way to expose the offers available from side hustlers but do not provide ways for two parties to close on a deal while heymate provides.

Ok and what's about Facebook then?

In order for gig-workers to reach their full potential customer base, they need to work through multiple gig platforms. However, this creates a major problem for them, and their ability to create a consistent flow of customers, which is worker rating histories. Each gig platform has its own worker rating system, which means gig workers need to build up the trust of customers on each and every one they use before they can reliably gain clients from them.
But what if we had a universal rating history that could be presented on any platform?

Read about the multi-platform dilemma and heymate’s potential to be the universal worker rating the gig economy needs!

What is your app competitive advantage?

Our features include formalizing and decomplexifying the creation and negotiation of the terms and conditions of an offer, close a legally enforceable peer-to-peer deal, managing payments held in escrow and resolving disputes - all done within 20 seconds.

It is very important to note that heymate is “portable”.  Instead of only allowing existing heymate community members to receive the heymate offer (most common in the closed silo approach),  heymate offers (as a hyperlinked PDF document or an image) can be published and advertised in all digital communities

- Paste public offers in every digital bulletin board or marketplace with a suitable audience (e.g., Craigslist, Meetup, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, LinkedIn, nextdoor.com, etc.);
- Distribute public offers via any messaging app (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) or email to prospective clients.

🎉🎉🎉🎉Read our weekly update!🎉🎉🎉🎉

We have integrated Demux so our offchain databases will be able to be verified by the EOSIO blockchain. Since we only store the absolute essentials on the blockchain, we keep all of our other data flexible and fast on offchain databases. Demux limits the amount of data that needs to be stored in RAM, which lowers the operating costs of the application, while also improving our architectural efficiency.

Follow us and stay tuned for more updates!

The most prevalent problem gig-workers and side-hustlers face in the gig economy, is the efficiency gap.

While gig-marketplace platforms prioritize customer convenience over their workers, heymate has been designed to create the same level of convenience for both customer and gig-worker alike.

Read our new article on how digital contracts can solve the gig economy’s efficiency problem!

How is your platform better than other ones for gigs?

The heymate platform will make it easy for micro-entrepreneurs  to deal with three main areas of support essential to independent work:

- Contracting: Set up and negotiations of the terms and conditions of an offer.
- Payment: Escrow and settlement.
- Support and Benefits: B2B services (such as insurance, loans, savings plans, etc.) to support  your small business as it grows.

Heymate is designed to address these critical process steps by enabling EVERYBODY to create a professional offer and close and administer a peer-to-peer gig economy deal within 20 seconds. Heymate is the only app that helps to close a deal in any gig circumstances.

The main differentiation that heymate provides is that it is not linked to ONE marketplace, but can be used with any type of gig and with multiple gigs.

I think that a big barrier for the market to thrive is trust and settlement, how do you help with that?

Heymate uses the blockchain to create professional-level contracts and escrows payments in advance to ensure settlement once the terms and conditions are completed. The largest barrier is having a scalable blockchain technology, but we are currently in the process of working with partners to make that possible. However, the technology is already ready and is ready to be shown to the public.

I see your point. Aslo want to know if heymate platform can work for the unbanked?

Heymate provides customers everything they need to run their business, so it could potentially be used by those who are currently unbanked.

do you have clients already? can you disclose the current registrants on your platform? when will you show the technology to the public?

No public user, the app is in internal testing. I don't know what you mean by clients? End of Q1/2019 is first public release planned according to today's planning.

What's blockchain use in your project?

The heymate app uses blockchain technology (a decentralized, distributed ledger, smart contracts and crypto tokens) to gain the following advantages over current solutions:

- Immutable records of accepted offers.
- Automation of payments
- Transacting using crypto tokens
- Integrating with other 3rd party blockchain-based value-added services

Did you do your app testing?

The Minimum Viable Product “MVP” alpha version was released on the 5th September.

Can you give a simple example of job I can do using your app?

Heymate will allow its users to do provide or receive pretty much any service they can think of. For example, users could earn money from doing long-form professional services, such as roofing or lawn maintenance, as well as short-form jobs like walking dogs or washing cars. The platform will also allow people to sell or rent their property.

The gig economy has matured in recent years, since it broke out on into the mainstream market.

The first generation of gig-workers and side-hustlers allowed people to earn money for low skill work. The second generation is opening the doors to talented and skilled individuals looking to earn their living from their passions.

The Uber and Lyft model don’t suit the needs of many potential gig-workers, and in order for the gig economy to reach those people, it needs to close its efficiency gap.

The heymate application takes the gig economy to its next phase by closing the efficiency gap by minimizing the amount of unpaid administrative work gig-workers need to do, and create simple, easy to negotiate, legally enforceable peer-to-peer contracts in under 20 seconds.

Greetings! Is there any Translation Bounty? How does a Portuguese translation of the White Paper sound for the project?

•   We are a brand new Brazilian group willing to establish ourselves on the market as the main source of PT translations (and other languages in the future) of White Papers and documents in general.
•   It's a great opportunity for projects to expose themselves to a fast-growing market (the cryptocurrency market had a 40% expansion in the period of Jan-Jul18 in Brazil) where only ~5% of the people have a good understanding of the English language;
•   You can find us on Twitter as @PortCrypto, reach out to us at cryptoport.services@gmail.com or even see our already done jobs on Google Drive!

Best regards, CryptoPort!

Hello, CryptoPort!

Thank you for interest to our project.
Our team will contact you back if Portuguese translation of the White Paper will be in need.

Kind regards,
heymate team

Many people working in unfulfilling office jobs don’t realize that their skills and talents could be applied to the gig economy to earn their living.

Experiment with different types of gig-work to find out what works best for you, and be sure to use heymate as your personal gig economy sidekick!

Hello, team!

Do you plan other functionalities for your app?

In the next stage of its development of the platform, heymate will allow its users to access optional, value-added services offered by third parties through its platform such as getting short-term or on-demand insurance, micro-loans, partaking in savings plans for micro-revenues, and contributing/donating to pre-vetted social and environmental projects.

Heymate’s founders recognize that every heymater is a small business that needs to manage its ongoing offers and contracts, its accounting and tax payments. To this end, the heymate platform will provide directly or through integration with third parties, tools that professionally manage these administrative aspect.

Who will be your app stakeholders?

The primary stakeholders in the heymate app ecosystem are:

- The Consumer (aka the customer or client) who pays for a service that is needed, or the buyer/renter of some goods/assets;
- The Provider (aka worker, producer, freelancer, etc.) that receives payment for a service that is rendered, or the seller/rentee of some goods/assets;
- heymate, the platform/tool that provides the matchmaking, deal-closing, payment (in HEY tokens) and dispute resolution infrastructure.

Additional stakeholders can be:

- Online Platforms, that offer opportunities for Consumers and Providers to advertise their needs or capabilities, and use the matchmaking, deal-closing and payment infrastructure provided by heymate.
- Value-added Service Providers that offer additional, complementary services to heymate users to augment a contract between a Consumer and Provider (e.g., insurance, identity verification), or additional incentives (e.g., loans) to continue using the heymate tool.

thanks for reply Smiley
And one more question: how will platform users get their payments for the work done?

Heymate will use smart contracts implemented on a blockchain to record aspects of an accepted offer that result in an ongoing job, using the logic of smart contracts to hold the payment in escrow and programmatically define the conditions for releasing it. Thus, workers need not have any concerns about getting paid. Also, when the smart contract releases payment, the transfer to a user’s wallet is near-instantaneous — avoiding the payment delays and high transaction fees of traditional money transfers.
