21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum for holding now on: November 10, 2018, 04:09:37 AM
Currently Ethereum is a good long-term investment to increase profitability, I think by the year 2019 the market is strong growth and ETH also increased rapidly.

Increase profitability? I beg to differ as a whole lot of other altcoins out there are making gigantic strides in the market now and are poised to overtake the "profitability" of Eth. You might want to take a look at Byteball, for example. Byteball is like the Ethereum of DAG except with simpler smart contracts. Plus a friendly end user interface that can be easily used by both the man on the street and developers. Ethereum is only for developers. That is where profitability will miss its mark in the near future.

Worth noting, the IBM backed World Community Grid has been around since November 16, 2004. Byteball has only been with the project for 6.5 months, but we are already in 42nd place!

Thanks to Byteball Community member vimukthi for highlighting this:

I like the part of byteball that launches ico faster than etherum and also the process of kyc if it's easier than etherum I think it will make Byteball more popular with ico as their exchange platform to receive and exchange tokens.

I agree with you, mate. And the use of smart contracts is really convenient.

Some food for thought  Grin

The Bitcoin pizza story struggles to compete with this: Byteball is like a magic pizza, each time you split it in two, the calorific value of each new slice is doubled.

The Byteball ICO website will be launching shortly.

But just to clarify: it's a website to better showcase how the Byteball platform is ideal for running an ICO. Byteball will not be having its own ICO.

 Cool

I really like the lottery! It would show how easy smart contracts works, it would incite people to buy some bytes, and it would create a buzz. But only if the price is big enough.

Great idea!

Yes, I agree a lottery is a great idea, and has appeal outside current crypto users.

Lottery has always been a good idea to "attract" people - or new users. It also allows the platform to showcase how easy smart contracts work.

Get to know the core Byteball team! Video interview with Casper Niebe, User Acquisition Manager.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXpypaMsZ3k&feature=youtu.be

Our aim is that the community gets to know the team behind Byteball. Who we are, why we decided to get involved and what we are working on. Today we speak with Casper Niebe, User Acquisition Manager.

If you are a part of Byteball community on Telegram, Slack or Steemit you have probably already come across him, as he is the guy who answers far more questions than anyone else! Apart from helping out everyone in the community, Casper has quite a few other things on his plate.

For instance, he has been the main organizer of the Use-a-Thon initiatives of which there have been two so far.

Other things that you might not know about Casper:

He loves Lego

He refers to himself as a "digital creative with a firm sense of discovering new potential and with a lifelong drive and infectious motivation to explore technological possibilities". (BALR for short)

He is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Casper likes to describe the Byteball platform as a huge box of Lego. What do you think of the Byteball/Lego similarities? Please leave a comment below with your thoughts.

I think that the price of Ethereum will grow, but it needs the whole market to start growing. This year it will be good if Ethereum can grow up to 400 - 500 dollars. I think that now all hope for next year.

Eth will surely pick up where it left off. But you have to consider that there are a lot of altcoins in the market now that are worth owning - AND USING - as compared to Eth. Take Byteball, for example. It is a better option than Ethereum. Byteball is like the Ethereum of DAG except with simpler smart contracts and a friendly end user interface so can be used by both the man on the street and developers. Ethereum is only for developers.
