Good that you follow the technical progress. Your token can work with hardware wallets. For example, Trezor? I believe that hardware wallets are the safest.

Yes, I don't think there is an issue keeping ONEX on Trezor. I can not verify at the moment ONEX works on Trezor though because I don't own one. Trezor supports ERC233 and Ethereum Classic so it should be fine. Though you might have to access ONEX tokens using MyEtherWallet. Using MEW you would connect to ETC(GasTracker) - Connect to Trezor - wallet address.

Ethereum Classic Vision is a SCAM!

There is no ETC Hard Fork.. but whatever you believe DO NOT enter your private keys into anything, a wallet, website, software, nothing..
If you give your private keys away, it's like giving a stranger keys to your house, truck and 99.9% chance you will lose everything you own on that account.

If these are the correct contract address for ECV then they don't have the holders best interest. It's a basic ETH ERC20 token that is flawed and they definitely don't have the best interest in making ETC any better.

1st contract: https://etherscan.io/token/0x4817d74db306a6547f18d462f187affefaac313e

I think the future is on this platform and the coin. The ERC 223 protocol is faster, safer, and backward compatible with the ERC20 protocol.

Thank you, yes we believe alot in ETC also the ERC223 standard. We would like to implement some dapps associated with ONEX in the near future and ERC223 makes that really easy to do this.

I never had a ICO, I airdropped tokens I left it up to folks to decided if they want to trade.  I haven't even made a ANN yet here or my second token though I will do that soon.

I guess that is a good move as ICOs have been getting some seriously bad rap lately (OneCoin, DropLex, ... )  I plan on announcing a token soon too (thing began among some friends, more details later).  There are plans for an airdrop, and other ways to get free tokens.  Been playing with the idea of also enabling some totally optional ICO if anyone wants large sums, but not sure what approach to use if so...

Very cool man, yeah as long as you don't make promise's you can't keep things shouldn't get out of line. I'd suggest start at a steady but slow pace, then drops updates on everybody when they don't expect them. Some ICO's over hype because funding is needed also they are trying to take a cut right away. I wanted to stay away from that, I want to build my empire from the ground up because I love the chase.. Good luck bro

Most project tokens are ERC20 related so they are sort of in a way helping Ethereum by creating own token on Eth platform. I'm more of a Ethereum Classic user and ETC hasn't muct adoption yet so I decided to support ETC by creating my tokens on ETC platform. In hope of bringing more awareness to ETC and give others the motive to do the same.

Not a bad initiative!!
But do you think any need to create token why not accept ETC as currency for your project?

Good question.. Best as I can is to say my tokens are paired with ETC on exchange. So that in inself is producing more trading volume for ETC. Which isn't the most important thing and barely making a difference but over time hope it helps ETC marketcap also. One of my tokens is a Proof of Stake token on ETC platform, so it's a PoS in layer 2, secured by layer 1 POW, over all it's still helping support ETC miners in this sense. I guess it all depends all someones project ideas and goals. Greed is a true thing not all projects are alike I do agree too many people are making tokens for the wrong reasons and promising to much. At least I can say for my project and 2 tokens I never had a ICO, I airdropped tokens I left it up to folks to decided if they want to trade.  I haven't even made a ANN yet here or my second token though I will do that soon.

Good thread, yes I support a DEX unlike any other I've used before. They have a strong support dev team and admin just not enough users yet. Though good things take time, with supporting this DEX I also feel I'm much safer with my funds since all trade orders are on the blockchain. No giving up my keys or them having control of my funds, I'm in control.

I cringe when I think about free wallet, they were one of the first I used when I was a newbie. Valid point OP, also alot of others that posted in this thread. My first advice to someone starting out is take a day or more and do research on anything before diving in. If you don't you could learn the hard way, it's okay if you do but it could cost you financially to learn that lesson.

Hey firesec,

I started a token a few months back and recently I changed things up and started a network. Which turned into us recently starting another token project which has turned into ONEX Network. We previously didn't check to much about social ownership of the keyword 'onexnetwork'. Since this seems like a forgotten project I am asking if I can take control of your twitter page, so I can use it for my token project.

Thanks, Highlander

As I understand it, the protocol will be used by ERC20. But, now newer and more compatible protocols are being used. ERC223 for example. Faster and safer.
Good call, ERC223 is really so much safer than ERC20.. So many people tokens would of stayed safe if ERC223 was created sooner but we can thank Dexaran now for it.
Nice project btw..

I don't see your pre ico or ico plans in the roadmap, so you won't sell tokens? And now it's entered in Q4, when will you release airdrop? Has it started?

There was no ico and don't have plans for one, Saturn Network was the only exchange we could list on. Therefore we made the annoucement on Saturn Network forum first and 15% of "ONE" was decided on to airdrop to 181 addresses from Saturn Genesis block(this can be seen in FAQ's & Website link). These addresses are direct contact with exchange and we wanted to reach out to people that will use exchange. Further more we don't plan on doing any KYC at all point in time. So giving away our token to real unique users is quite hard because of scammers registering mulitpy addreses.

30% of ONE was placed on exchange for sell, these being sold will fund the project further. Allocation's might change some but we will start a bounty program that is crossed with marketing. We started with Q3 2018 because that is when project started. We started as a parody token we still are but it is a real world token with max supply 1 which gives it some rarity. We were find just being a parody token but we want to create a real use case for the token also in the case of hodling the token to gain rewards and incase raise value. Hope this can clear some things up for you.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Elon Musk have been wrong about AI? on: November 15, 2018, 03:55:57 AM
AI can make potential mistakes we already know that, in that persepective alone harm could be done. Its our code that first creates AI, programming error's have killed before. An old example is Therac-25.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Game Changer for DEX as SEC charged Etherdelta founder on: November 15, 2018, 03:43:53 AM
Even the DEX sites will start doing it now. That'll drive traders back to centralized exchanges. It's definitely bad news for bottom-of-the-barrel shit tokens because liquidity will probably get worse. Most ERC-20 token liquidity is already on regular exchanges anyway, so it's not the end of the world.

Exchanges that have the name "DEX" in their names (IDEX) but are part centralized are not DEX's and shouldn't change their names. I only know of one dex now that is truely decentralized and that is Saturn Network. They don't ask for no KYC and never will, right now they are open to accept free listing for ETC Chain tokens but really soon they will open up free ETC listing and trading also.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH, road down to $50? on: November 12, 2018, 10:35:34 PM
As Alex said I believe alot of the reason price of Ethereum drops is because ICO's sell of ETH to further project development. Somewhere I seen a chart once that had all the calculations of current ICO's and ETH brought in. If I can ever find it again I'll post it but it's hard to say if Ethereum will ever drop below $100 again.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters. on: November 09, 2018, 10:48:18 AM
I'm twisted on kyc experience, I'd rather not have KYC but I see why some do. I just did my first airdrop on twitter. I was going to stop at 500 max signups or until Jan. 15, not even a week goes by and I got over 900 signups on my form and only 6 people actually filled the airdrop out correctly. Totally fail lol...
Thus only 6 people got airdropped...
