21  Economy / Economics / Re: New recession is around the corner on: May 02, 2019, 08:00:36 PM
I guess it is actually a strategy. Sometimes, to make people stay connected and interested in your stuff you have to make them feel hanging, suspending and disappointed. You have to make them feel that they need to come back to you to satisfy their disappointment.

I hope you'll get my point but in my personal opinion, I was actually a victim of this kind of strategy. Every time I encounter a great movie, since they are great and very popular they must make sure to take advantage of it in such ways. For their audience to come back with their next production and movie, they have to make the audience disappointed, dissatisfied and hanging because they are too attached with the characters that they would like to witness the characters successful.

I guess it's hard to make a satisfying endings.

I remember Lost had such a great storyline and engaged characters. The ending was very disappointing and confusing for everyone.
It might just be that great stories are hard to explain with good endings.

The last time I check the real reason for the next great recession would be coming from the banking industry again. They are doing their own version of the "Chinese Money Trap" in which they let promising startup companies borrow money in which they know they can never pay back, letting the company reach to default making them to take over on their assets which is their true objective. If a certain industry (or industries) collapse it's because of these greedy banks wanting to take control a great portion of the economy.

banks create money our of thin air and it has no value to them. Assets which you created for them have value.
Damn man, that is a scary though.
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: Respect is one of the most important thing in optimized community on: May 02, 2019, 01:45:09 PM
I'm pretty active on Steemit and Reddit and in the last few months, I noticed a lot of disrespect from the crypto community members towards each other. I wonder if it was also in the early stage of the market.
I believe the main reason is the number of different projects in the crypto space.

Everyone claiming the project they support gonna changes the ecosystem, disrespect bitcoin, ethereum, and other projects that are pretty much the foundations of this ecosystem, and talk $@ one to another.

How can we move on from here and make this a better place?

One of the key factors in our society is respect and praise. Everybody likes to be praised and accepted. Nobody likes to be criticized. It's just how the society works.

Why do you think Facebook never introduced dislike button?  Because it is not working in the harmony of our society and it would cause resentment.
Only good and positive things are expected and create great atmosphere.

Dissing and disrespecting someone is not working well for the other side and for you in that matter. Nobody got anywhere while disprespecting and discrediting others.

It's just not working in the harmony of our system.

Also, all the entertainment content that op spoke of actually lived up to the hype and surpassed expectations. Op must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

Dunno if we watched the same shows, but the story was way disappointing than anyone imagined. It seems like they just wanted it to end with budget spending as little as possible.

25  Economy / Economics / New recession is around the corner on: May 02, 2019, 10:43:06 AM
Last big recession was in 2007 and the next one is long overdue.

This next one is going to be on a much larger scale and last longer than we expect.

The signs are all around us.

First, the Avengers Endgame was so hyped and in the end it was disappointing.
Game of Thrones final season was hyped and so far very disappointing.
Star Wars will probably be disappointing as well.

All of them have a huge budget yet they somehow went on and made a crappy production. Why?

They know the recession is due and they are saving money everywhere they can.

Ortiz was a smart hacker and yet I don't admire him because he spent all the money with worthless things. That was too huge and he just spent it with his friends. He's too young and will be spending 10 years in prison, I pity him but I guess he should pay for what he did. That's the reason why we have to handle our mobile numbers well. Hackers could do anything by just using our personal numbers.

If he was caught he was not smart. He might be tech savvy and can hack stuff, but financials and planning are not his forte obviously.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit 6000$ Before april last date ? on: April 27, 2019, 10:38:33 PM
You can expect anything with bitcoin. If a millionaire decides it's time to put money into bitcoin you can get a big pump even higher than 6000.

There can good be news or there can be bad news you can never be sure. TA shows that we should touch 6000 or above but there's only a few days left to do it in April so I wouldn't count on it.

I agree with this. It only takes one big whale to buy lost of BTC and you're at $6k, however bots and short sellers will take this opportunity and smash the price back below 6k, it won't last
28  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Card Game on: March 08, 2019, 12:36:48 PM

29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Crypto Trading Card Game on: March 07, 2019, 11:31:55 PM

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a card game with cryptos?

Now that there are lots of tokens, coins, projects and people involved, it feels like a good time to do it.

I made my own version of the Cryptocurrency Card Game as you will see below.

PS. I'm still a newbie so images will only be visible through the link.
I would appreciate if any Jr. Member of higher would just repost the image links for others to see since I cannot post images as a Newbie.

30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go. Bitcoin ripping through $4000 on: February 25, 2019, 03:29:44 PM
It was obvious that was a bull trap if you wanna call it but really just a normal part of the bottom phase bitcoin is in. Sometimes it will get a pump and sometimes a dump, doesn't mean the price is gonna launch up or crash down. We're 3+ months firmly in the bottoming out phase in the $3000s and we should expect plenty more months to come of this price range.

Call it a bull trap but it seems that there's someone who manipulated the price of bitcoin again. Anyways, at least there's a indication that investors are still willing to put their money on the market.

That's good enough to know, we cannot rush things, it's not bullish yet and it's confirmed.
Traders have different intention, there are shorters and there are people who are willing to long, so they contradicted and the strong one wins.
For us long term investor, there's always a chance but it's not like before that we will see x100 price increase in a short time, it will take time now.

Judging from all the news and hype that is building, it sure seems like we are entering a new cycle. Even tho I think the bottom will be around $2000 and after that, slow and steady growth.

I've seen a lot of people coming back who were literally gone the entire 2018. Something brought them back.

A quote from Hobbit "The birds are returning to the mountain".
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go. Bitcoin ripping through $4000 on: February 24, 2019, 07:16:14 PM

After breaking $4100, we are back to $3700.

Logical after the dump by short sellers.

This time next week we will be well above $4500 and into steady climb
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go. Bitcoin ripping through $4000 on: February 24, 2019, 12:36:00 AM
Evo tho this is a very exciting thing to see, I would rather like a lower lows so that we can buy-in cheaper than ever.

Something like $2000 would be nice and then let's MOON
33  Economy / Service Discussion / Any good website for crypto developers and freelancers for hire? on: February 01, 2019, 09:05:43 PM

So I'm pretty much look for people of cryptocurrency. Something crypto specific and not the likes of LinkedIn...

Is there any website where I can have a more narrow selection of professionals for cryptocurrency only?

39  Economy / Economics / Re: Is government the most influential factor that affects Bitcoin price? on: January 24, 2019, 02:13:05 PM
You have to understand one thing.

If you adopt BTC as a mean for payment/exchange of services and goods, you don't really need to peg it to US Dollar.

To answer your question, yes the price in USD will drop but... as long as people are willing to trade and accept BTC for goods and services it won't really matter price in USD because BTC has its own price.
In order for this to work, mass adoption has to take place.

Just to make it clear, you use $ to do what? buy goods and services. You use BTC to do what? same + buy $. If enough people starts accepting BTC the $ won't be needed.
