21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you lose your confidence as an investor? on: January 22, 2019, 12:51:49 PM
Been hodling for 2 years now.

Researched regarding certain coin for 3 weeks, tried to find holes in the plan. Couldn't, so I bought. 2 years next month.

When you invest, an amount that is forgettable to you, in something that has actual, real life problem solving potential, and you only keep seeing progress, it is VERY EASY to hold.

The price doesn't matter if you think the "final product" will be worth much, much more.
I can hodl like that for another 2 years. Or 5. Or 20.

Unless progress and fundamentals change, there is NO reason to stop believing (objectively) in a project.

Is it me or did you have a blackjack twitch stream the other day?
There was a table and it seemed it was playing automatically using that strategy?

I can't remember the stream name and my chrome settings got wiped  Angry

Care to link it so I can follow/sub?  Thnx!
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat, Banks and the future of Cryptocurrencies on: January 20, 2019, 08:55:43 AM
I'd like to see them go, but there is NO chance banks are going away.

Shit, I bet at least 70% (And I may be generous) of all the people here has a debt at this very moment.
You're tied to the bank far more than you think.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amount to start trading? on: January 19, 2019, 09:42:50 AM
Everyone throwing fixed numbers. 100$ may be pocket change to some and jackpot to others.
In any case, it still shouldn't matter.

Wouldn't a correct minimum amount be:

(Minimum exchange amount to trade) * 100?

To get the minimum 100% Bankroll from which you'll invest no more than 1% per single trade? (Maybe even less for beginners)
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: January 19, 2019, 09:24:57 AM
Ripple get number two because their developer keep manipulating the market until now. Not quite surprised if they are in the top 5.

Wow. A logical contradiction!

If I were to listen to you, then I have to follow your instruction to not listen to ANYONE
But if I were not to listen to ANYONE, then I should not listen to you
But if I do not listen to you, then I should not follow your advice and thus I should listen to ANYONE
Back to Step 1

Hah, good one xD

Not sure about your motives for picking that part and looking at it like that, but if it's fun, I chuckled.

If not, you'll have to give more details Smiley
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: January 16, 2019, 01:42:54 PM
A whole lot of bullshit in this topic, ranging from "It's centralized", "Bankers coin", "made to destablilize crypto", "Not a real crypto", to bunch of nonsense whether it's 2nd or 3rd in Market Cap, whether the price can go up or not, etc, etc.

Been 2 years in and I must say, not much has changed. Bunch of FUDsters, clueless people who haven't read a single article on something, yet continue to spew pure BS about it.

Please, do continue to look and sound like a dumbass to anyone that actually read about it.
We're laughing our asses out for 2 years, what's another 1- X for us.

For those that actually want to think on their own, go READ, go RESEARCH. Take your time, ask questions, search for bad things. Took me 3 weeks before I made my decision, so don't rush.

And do NOT listen to ANYONE on this or any other forum. 99% is pure bullshit which will make you lose money.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: Time for bears? on: January 15, 2019, 09:01:09 PM
For me personally, XRP is a coin you invest in after heavy research (took 3 weeks for it personally), bought some and been hodling for almost 2 years.
It is a coin with real world purpose and huge plans. And huge plans take time.

Not to mention noone can be certain the plans will work.

But, so far, I only see progress.
I don't pay attention to the price much because I believe, IF the plans work, the current price is something ridiculous anyway, be it 30 cents or 3 dollars.

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting Coin Launches in 2019? on: January 15, 2019, 07:48:23 PM
Posted on another forum, but (so far yet) noone has any thoughts on it.
Just stumbled upon this so gonna try here.
C/p from the formentioned forum:

So, I recently watched a video with 4 guys, Head of Group Inovation, Societe Generale, Chief Marketing from Blockpass, Global head of strategic accounts Ripple and Head of blockchain and UK group inovation, UBS.

Now we allI know how big Marcus Treacher is in the "blockchain world".

I googled the rest a bit, but what I'm curious about is blockpass (PASS). Anyone know anything about it? I've checked the site, the idea is good.

I was told "Civic is for KYC" but Blockpass guy was on the same stage as Marcus Treacher, which could mean maybe they have a good plan just like Ripple (subjective, I know, but bear with me)

The link btw is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYjU645jndA

blockpass.org is the site.

Am I completely overvaluing the fact he's up there with the rest of the guys who (seem?) to be far ahead in production/realisation/etc.?

Am I seeing something that's not there, overthinking perhaps? is it simply a matter of paying enough to "sit with the big boys"?

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions/information regarding this and Blockpass (PASS) in general?

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Ripple on: January 15, 2019, 03:17:25 PM

I could not care less what Ripple Inc tries to do.
I do know they sell near worthless xrp.
Only in extreme circumstance Ripple Inc uses xrp.
95% of the time they have no use for it.

It is obvious you a totally clueless when it comes to cryptocurrencey. Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) is designed to sent from person to person without the need of a money graphing middleman. Thousands o currencies exist and can do it. I dont need to read up on xhocus pocus.

I'm very aware of what's crypto Smiley
You are not, however, aware that there's no middle man for XRP.
Ripple company could shutdown and yet everything would still work.

Since you are choosing not to read anything on it (from what I've seen you say so far), we really can't continue this conversation.

Good day.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Ripple on: January 15, 2019, 01:50:05 PM
I am just amazed no bank CEO got sacked yet of failing to buy shittons of scam xrp. Banks are at the forefront signing agreements with Ripple Inc. and at the same time not buy a single xrp. How long will bank shareholders allow this to happen before calling for resignation of incompetent leader at the helm of the bank for failing to make quadzillons of profit for the bank. Can it be Bank managers had making money?  Cheesy

You, sir (and I beg your pardon if I sound rude, not my intention), have not done your research and do not understand what Ripple is trying to do.

Read up on xCurrent, xRapid and everything that comes along to understand the various services institutions and/or banks can utilize.

XRP is NOT being promoted actively, so to speak, it is a "bonus" to the ILP that enables users to save even more money.

Go read up so you don't post silly things Wink
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are You Afraid To Die? on: January 15, 2019, 07:05:31 AM
Not sure afraid is the right word. As soon as I die, I won't feel anything, I won't remember anything, I won't exist, just like before I was born.

So....whenever I think about it, it's the people I care about (and who care about me) that I'm worried more.

That plus I got things and places to see and be, so...wouldn't like to for now Cheesy
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of seeing the “Satoshi” value of my portfolio drop. on: January 12, 2019, 04:16:28 PM
Unless a coin (each looked at seperately) develops to the point that it is used without the need to go through BTC, things won't change much.

Which coin has a purpose, IF it has a real life purpose, is up to you to decide (my SUBJECTIVE view is that atleast 90% have 0 real purpose).

Because, again IMHO, only those that have real life purpose (other than "we can buy stuff with it") are truly worth hodling.

But that's just me.

Oh, and...when you invest subjectively small enough amounts, just like if you go out and buy 5 drinks and forget about it, you will NOT react to ANY price change, because you invested what you consider lost already and you have faith in the technology/plans of a certain coin you invested in.

EDIT: I have 5 different coins, 1 main and 4 "shitcoins" in who I don't expect nothing really Cheesy  I bought almost 2 years ago and haven't felt sad at ANY point, even though all coins were like 1000% higher than now.
I invested a small amount and I don't care. Main coin is far from it's potential and the rest...if it happens, happens.
I truly believe when you make correct steps, you don't react to anything and keep a sane mind.

We could go deeper, but why bother, right?
35  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: January 12, 2019, 03:38:30 PM

I'm talking about a country where a Senator gets  ~ $38,928 per month, ~ $467,136 per annum which is doubled the value of what the US Vice President ($233,000) gets per annum. A little wonder why politics in the country is always a do or die affair.

So we have politicians getting 39K$  per month and while minimum wage is 82$ (and that's, as they say, too much)

Is it only me that sees that the real problem isn't the min wage (at least not right away), lol?

EDIT: We in Croatia have it somewhat bad, but not like this. I truly feel for all of you and hope you get out of it, one way or another. GL!
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Zano on: January 12, 2019, 10:29:03 AM
If I'm seeing correctly, no docs for user and mining yet (please, do correct me if I'm wrong).

Any approx timeframe when we might see those?
Or a nudge in right direction where to find such info?

Thnx
37  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: January 11, 2019, 08:17:00 PM

Ja sam mislio da je nakon toliko napisanih stranica objašnjeno koliki je porez. Smiley

Poreza nema ako kriptovalutu koju si kupio držiš najmanje 2 godine i potom zamijeniš u kune

Anyone? xD
38  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: January 11, 2019, 06:51:45 PM

39  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: January 11, 2019, 05:49:08 PM

40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you remember your first sports bet? on: January 11, 2019, 05:15:00 PM
Yep, 1998. 5 pairs, one was Galatasaray.
It was only few euros stake, in local currency, for around 35€  Grin

I remember watching teletext on TV and saw that I didn't get any right.

2h later, for unknown reason, I checked again whereupon I realised I got all correct.
Turns out the 1st time I read half time score and I actually won xD

Wow you remember 20 years back story of your winning . Also it means ifn case if you still continue gambling than you would be more than 20 years in it and how has being your journey being so far? More winning or more losing overall if you calculate for this many years .

I don't really bet. I have had betting timeframes, so to speak, on and off, but always for measly 1-3 euro per slip and not many slips to begin with.
I mostly threw few € just as summers started to see if I could get some extra drinking money Cheesy

I had a short bwin career, I got 600€ once for a 14€ bet, but that's almost it from big winning.

I would probably say I'm down, bot since it's over 20 years and only small amounts that I can afford to lose.....no biggie xD
