21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $0.50 on: April 20, 2014, 02:47:00 AM
Bitcoin wouldn't be $0.5 even if SHA-256 was completely cracked by the NSA.
22  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Completely Insane Saga of CoinBet.cc on: April 20, 2014, 02:44:23 AM
I can't believe that users of Bitcoin are still throwing tons of coin into these blatant scams.
I have withdrawn every satoshi out of every single online entity there is.  So much bull**** going on right now.

24  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: How long should it take to build database? on: April 20, 2014, 12:04:19 AM
In my experience, it takes a long bloody time.  Long enough to the point where you question whether the thing is even working.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using 'bits' instead of µ[btc] is not a good idea on: April 19, 2014, 11:52:10 PM
Throw me in the 'not-a-fan' category of bits.

27  Economy / Economics / Re: MtGox liquidation.. How will selling 200,000[btc] affect the price? on: April 17, 2014, 03:10:49 AM
The price will drop for a period of time, then begin to rise again.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get into bitcoin? on: April 16, 2014, 04:46:33 AM
A bit of a long story.
My boss' business friend (owner of a small business in Seattle) was having lunch with us one summer day and mentioned Bitcoin in passing.  Most of the conversation went way above my head.

I got home and asked my wife if she heard about it.
Sure enough, she mentions that she saw it on CNN.

I read about it that same evening.
One week later I was mining.

Fast forward about 2 years and I have a huge scrypt mining farm in my garage, about 4TH/s SHA-256 mining and a diverse collection of coins.

Well... mr. Cle was supposed to be at my house 2 hours ago so I'm guessing he isn't interested any more...

Still up!  Open to reasonable offers at this point.

I know someone near Seattle wants this.

After buying a bunch of miners a few months ago, I have under 50BTC for the first time in a long time.

Just sold my smaller miners on eBay though, so I'll be converting that fiat to BTC on April 15th...  Cheesy

In before quantum-sun pictures explaining that the chances of this happening are literally astronomical.

Just remember this.

The feeling your feeling right now is exactly what those with buying-power are preying on.
This is part of the game.  Hold on, brother.

Open to use escrow.com?

Never heard of it, I'll check it out.  That's that old escrow site that just recently picked up crypto?  I might be interested in this actually.  PM me your offer.

This is still up for grabs.  Putting it on eBay pretty soon.
I'll take fiat but I know the interest with a fiat deal isn't so high right now.
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Best method of selling your hardware? on: April 11, 2014, 02:43:08 AM
I'm trying to get a grasp of the different methods people use selling gear & the pros/cons of each.  I'm in the process of trying to sell my Terraminer IV, but unsure about how to safely sell and not get the ringer.

I am considering eBay right now because of the fiat:BTC exchange.  I am too sketched by CL (posted, but too hesitant to let strangers into my house).

What do YOU do and what would YOU suggest?

I sold 40 of my old Block Erupters on eBay and never had a problem with scams.  Granted they were only like $20 each.  If you want to do Craig'sList but don't want people to come to your house you can always arrange to meet them in a public place like the parking lot of a local store with a lot of foot traffic.  It's kind of a bad time to be selling mining equipment though.  You could probably get more for it if you wait for the price to recover somewhat.

The problem is that most of the time people like to see the unit running... can't really plug in a 1000w~ unit in a Starbucks.  LOL

If you wanted to go down that second route this is probably your best bet

I'll definitely do some research tomorrow.
Thanks for that.
Any other suggestions, welcome!

What should I be concerned of if doing a Paypal transaction?

Another option I have been considering is simply selling my current hash power on a GH/s basis.
Is there any way to do this?  Any services that would act as the middleman for something like this?

Maybe a radical option... but one I would like to consider at least.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally we may see under $400 on: April 10, 2014, 04:54:02 AM
Sub $350 by the weekend.  No FUD... if you check my post history I don't post my predictions very often, but I am fairly certain on this one, based on historical analysis.

Nonetheless.

I would suggest waiting for a Hero Member to confirm that's not malware or a phishing attempt.
